Rebecca’s is tucked in between some more favorable restaurants, but don’t let that keep you out. I initially came here for a torta, but was surprised to see other dishes available. The torta with ham I ordered was under $ 6. So, pretty reasonable in price and filling. I was under the impression that applying avocado to a torta was done without question by these torta shops. I’m sure they have avocado’s back there, but it may be an additional cost. Torta shops probably caught on and figured people would pay an extra buck to get a few slices. Anywho, there’s some good and cheap eats here. It looked like there wasn’t anything on the menu over $ 9. I’ll be returning to try out their potato tacos.

I happened to be looking for a place that would make a vegetarian torta and came across this place is Unilocal. There are few reviews, but I still decided to give this place a try. I’m extremely glad I did. Their avocado torta sans meat was delicious and savory! I also ordered a mamey licuado which was on point– not to sweet, not plain either. I highly recommend this place for its tasty food, fresh drinks, and did I mention– affordable prices. An added bonus to this place is their extremely pleasant and friendly staff.

My friend introduced me to this place last year. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover such an awesome spot. It’s definitely a hole in the wall type of joint, but you know they’re the spot to visit because all the locals eat there. We ended up going twice this weekend after finishing a 5 mile hike. The girl working the front was definitely happy to see us. When I left yesterday I told her«see you next weekend.» Their licuados are the best. You can tell the fruit is fresh by the way it tastes. I basically go there just for the strawberry drinks. The torta is definitely the best I’ve ever had. I tried the beef and combination.

OMG, if I wasn’t full of sushi, I would have killed a torta here. What I did have, was their awesome and banana infused chocolate«licuado»(literally«blended») a smoothie-like concoction of milk, fruit, cocoa, and sugar /honey that is awesome. Went back to try their succulent asada torta. This hole in the wall is a treat at a good value and kitschy friendly spot I’m glad I said«si» to Rebecca’s Cenaduria.

I can’t believe so few people have reviewed this place! That means that Rebecca’s is still relatively unknown or that people in Oxnard don’t Unilocal much, or both. A colleague of mine recommended Rebecca’s for their awesome tortas, which are Mexican grilled sandwiches. My friend and I both got milanesa tortas, which come with thin, deep-fried beef strips in a sandwich complete with mayonnaise, avocado, tomatoes, and, if you want, jalapenos. Absolute heaven, and money-saving, too! We had them for a late lunch and weren’t even remotely hungry when going to bed around 10:30 that night. On the side, we got strawberry and melon licuados, juice drinks with ice cream. Delicious! You could tell the fruit was definitely fresh. Rebecca’s can seem a little run-down on the outside, but it’s really good on the inside. Friendly service, good prices, and delicious food make it worth it for those who want authentic Mexican food in Oxnard.

Rebecca’s is amazing. The Papaya smoothie with milk is delicious. Steak Ranchero with flour tortillas are bomb. Asada tacos con todo are delish. Rebecca’s makes their own tortillas and they are exceptionally yummy. We drive down from Hueneme all the time and we haven’t even tried the tortas yet. This place is core, but don’t be afraid. They are super nice and it’s a blast to sit and eat inside with the Mexican music playing that makes you feel happy and content. They also have historical photos on the walls that are fun to study.

This place is in Downtown Oxnard. it a little hole in the wall. An old building that is not earthquake retrofitted as the signs are posted. The place is small and old. HOWEVER!!! They do have the best Mexican Tortas that I have ever had. An old girlfriend introduced this place to me back in 93 and I try to drop by every other visit to Oxnard. They also have the bast natural fruit drinks and they are HUGE! They speak a little English in here so please talk slow. I have been looking for a better torta all over California and have not found one yet. Only giving a 4 star as it’s not the best atmosphere or location.
