Banana Republic Factory Store

The Banana Republic Factory Outlet in National Harbor had a big sweater sale (60%) this weekend but the size selection was quite limited. The store wasn’t very tidy, some selection looked like people ransacked the shelves. I found a few sweaters — one striped and one solid sweater — for work, each ranging from $ 20 – 24. I liked how the socks were 50% off and selected winter scarves and hats were 60% off.

This store is similar to other Banana Republic outlet stores — lots of stuff but nothing much to buy :(The quality of stuff @ Banana Republic outlet stores is on a declining curve and they need to something ASAP to turn things around. My wife saw a dress on the mannequins and wanted to try one on, but it was hard to locate the dress inside the store. We eventually had to seek the assistance of an employee and she too, took sometime finding the dress for us.
The dress was good (and we did buy it), but have to see how long it lasts. Few of the clothes that I purchased last year are already torn/​ripped at the seams/​or faded extremely. In comparison, the clothes from BR @ the mall seem to be holding better than the clothes from the outlet.

So literally had my arms full of things to buy– the only one in the store and waiting to be checked out. a associate says to me let me get someone to ring you out… are your hands broke? why can’t you ring me out??? waited 9 minutes still no one so I left.

I might be short changing Banana Republic with my rating only because the front store mannequin’s shirt I was looking for was not available inside the store. Other than that this BR has everything you could want. Let me explain you see that rainbow colored grown man button down shirt I have up for one of my pics… yes you guessed it a BR pick.
Since I’m very long-​winded I will make this brief the service is good, the sale prices are want you want in your life and plentiful choices to step up your gear.
It’s a factory store so the prices are usually good but if you are looking for that extra discount bring your AAA card or go online for the extra perks type percentage off deal. You are welcome. And yes the brothers shop at Banana Republic!

If you are a short woman than you know the difficulty we have finding work pants that fit! I needed new work pants and BR has the best for petites. I was so thankful this store had a dedicated petite section as the main, smaller stores do not. While I liked this was close to home vs the Leesburg location, their clothes were very disorganized. I found short and petites sized throughout the store, not just in the dedicated petite section. But decent sale prices, and add an online coupon and you’ve got a great deal! Other than the disorganized-​ness of the clothes, it was clean, big selection, and lots of fitting rooms.

Mediocre sales so I didn’t end up buying anything. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I expected more sales for a factory store so I moved on to the next store.
