My wife’s high school reunion had dinner here. The room the restaurant had set aside in the back corner and too small, so the class moved to the dining area where the bar is. This seemed to confuse, perplex, and frustrate the wait staff even though the restaurant only had a couple other patrons the whole time we were there. Our waitress didn’t know what a mixed drink or well drink was. They didn’t have any beers on tap, or a tap at all. What they have in bottle was a small selection and over-​priced. It took a long while to get our food orders in (30 min) and when we did get our food a while later (another 20−30min) it was cold. That was our first time there and will be our last.

Great place for dinner. We have shown up with a party of 12 on two different occasions and were able to sit immediately both times. The catfish is excellent and there is plenty of it! I love the back home atmosphere. Try it if you are close by

My wife and I love this place! Their steaks are amazing, and their sweet potato fries are to die for. Service is good, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Go check them out!

Use to enjoy coming to this restaurant. However this last few times I have been seems food quality has gone down and the alcohol prices have gone up. Service is okay seems everyone is stressed and uptight. Okay place nice atmosphere and if ur looking for a quick beer stop that is all I would recommend…

My wife and I ate here for the first, and last time Friday evening. Other than Cracker Barrel, we have never been in a noisier resturant. For that reason alone, we would never return. Scrapping chairs, and tables, yelling people, and screaming kids.
Food was actually pretty good. Issues were my wife’s order was wrong. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, and have never seen such a small portion, and for $ 14. Okra was very good. Hush Puppies burnt black.
The place is obviously running on very few servers. Service, while polite, was missing.

The previous review by Christopher G. the Tennessee catfish expert is grossly overstated and contrary to our EVERY visit… and everything is duly pricey these days. A native Louisianian and accomplished cook in my own right, I can tell you that from the crab claws through the steaks, and yes, the catfish, this is as good as you can find anywhere in our area… even Hunt’s in Dothan. We are on the FL coast often and I’ve eaten great steaks… the seafood here is fresh, well seasoned, and well prepare; the steaks are solid; DAMN good. On Friday nights, there is usually a seasoned guitar picker seated and taking requests. Visit them; accept that this is a locally owned, relaxed purveyor of GOOD food, fairly priced, and well-served…you won’t be disappointed.

I went to this place to get Catfish. My wife, 2 kids, and myself walk in, and we wait, and we wait, and we wait. There were no instructions to seat ourselves or anything. No type of hostess. The part that bugged me the most about the wait of about 15 – 20 minutes was that there were 2 open tables, not clean, but open, and the 2 waitresses came and went right in front of us without saying a word to us. They looked at us, but didn’t say anything like I will be right with you or anything. We didn’t leave because my wife is catholic, it was lent, and for some reason Fish restaurants are rare around here. We finally were seated, and got a look at the menu. I was shocked to find that a 3 piece catfish dinner was $ 16. That is ridiculous. I am from Tennessee, and every Catfish place has all you can eat catfish for about $ 10. I ended up ordering a 1 piece catfish with shrimp. It came out, and the grilled shrimp was cold as if it were setting out for a while after it was grilled, and I got about 10 fries. The one piece of catfish tasted pretty good, but not good enough to warrant the high price tag. I was very disappointed, when I go to a mom and pop shop I expect Great service, good food, and decent prices, and this place did not provide any of the above. I would never recommend this place or will I ever go back.
