I visit this place often for my produce as their prices are normally cheaper than your average Key food. Also, the shelf-life is better than your average supermarket. However, I do not purchase any dried or packaged food as I’ve found a lot of expired products on their selves — big no-no! Parking is decent as they have a small parking lot in front and the side street normally has a few available spots. Most of the employees speak Spanish which isn’t helpful for all patrons, but they try to help whenever asked. Overall, it’s a great spot for fresh veggies and fruit. Decent prices. Decent parking.

The place is disgusting. Stinks like dead animal in here doors are wide opened its 25 degrees outside. Expired product, rotten fruits.

I go here at least 3x a week to pick up fresh produce. Average selection, decent prices. Five stars if they added a fish/seafood section.

A more appropriate name for this place would be rotting mango. I stopped In while driving by and was shocked to see so much mildewy, moldy and fermenting fruit in one place. The selection was pretty basic too except for exotic mamey fruit which I was going to snatch up until I saw how mushy and inedible they all were. Why does the owner/manager here think its ok to keep selling fruit like this as if nothing is wrong? Also no organics and no frozen vegetables?

The place may have a good selection but they have left those dogs out in the frigid temperatures. Even if they are just guard dogs, it is not acceptable to let dogs roam on a roof — especially not in freezing temps.

The first thing you’ve gotta love about this place is the free parking lot. A rare gem in the Queens shopping experience. Next is the quality of the produce — much better than what you find at Stop&Shop. Also much more reasonably priced and a greater selection. I get my hot peppers, various potatoes, onions, plantains and Bok Choy along with an organic lettuce mix and assorted tomatoes. Then there’s the meat & poultry in the back. Definitely family-size cuts but worth the price per lbs. Hold your nose & wear a sweater… it’s a butcher after all. No long lines, various grocery needs you might need in a pinch and great customer service!

I have been shopping here for at least 10 years. At first I would always stop on my way to Pathmark in Ozone Park when I resided in Bed Sty. For the past 5 years I have lived in the city Line area of East New York. This has been one of my major shopping spots. Love the variety of reasonably priced fruits, fresh veggies and ethnic products, EVENEXOTICSTUFFYOUCAN’T FINDOTHERPLACES. Because of the great prices on these items, I am able to experiment with new recipes without messing up my budget! It’s not a luxury location and sometimes it’s a bit crowded. But it’s worth a stop for anyone who wants decent food items at a great price! It was even featured on Top Chef a few years ago when it was in New York! It a good spot…

Located just off of Atlantic Avenue & Rockaway Blvd, this Farmer’s Market(sans the booths) is conveniently located. I know they call themselves a supermarket, but they’re freshness and style is much more like a local market. Offering fresh produce, butcher’s meats, etc… you can do all of your shopping and getting healthy, fairly cheap, and more natural foods. In addition to the aforementioned products, you can also get the usual assortment of world products like teas, herbs & spices, etc. Overall, it’s a good option for the neighborhood, or beyond(given its convenient location and private parking lot. There’s also a car wash and filler-up station nearby so you can accomplish a lot in a short time without having to go all over the place. When you have functions that you’re hosting(or near the holiday times), then it’s a pretty good option to find more natural, fresh products you need(just what you should get out of a «farmer’s’ market» or supermarket).

Has everything but fish, the only con is the meat is packaged for families and not for a single guy like me, the butchers will cut it to size for you however. The cashiers are the best anywhere and smartest also, they work without scanners they just use their brains(I hope they pay them well) or just give them a nice tip. they keep the lines moving fast and people here load full carts, they also have packers to bag your stuff. Try getting on a line at Pathmark and you’ll know what I’m talking about. The parking lot fills up on weekends but you can alway’s find a spot on the street after going around a few times.
