I stayed at the Beachcomber last weekend with my boyfriend’s family and the hotel itself was incredibly lackluster. Cons: Everything is damaged in some way; paint peeling off the walls, locks and handle to the balcony door so rusted I was afraid to touch it, dents and dings everywhere, etc. We had to screw the bathroom door handle back on and spent almost a whole day having to use a toilet with a broken chain before someone came to fix it. The beds and pillows were a complete joke. So flat and hard. This place was too expensive for the state of the room. ALSO the free breakfast? Fruit Loops, chocolate donuts, bagels, yogurt, and juice. That’s it. Parking is mainly across the street, which isn’t terrible but kind of annoying. Pros: It’s right on the beach and the pool is okay. I didn’t use the wifi while I was there(I know I’m surprised too) so I can’t comment on that, but I would advise against staying here unless you get an INCREDIBLE deal or don’t really care about any of the things listed above.

CONs — Only 4 stars due to the WIFI. WIFI cost $ 11/day. BUT — I tethered WIFI from my phone to my laptop. Learn to do that before you go, only if you have internet on your phone. Also, we had a car so the following wasn’t a problem, but it’s at the end of the beach road so there is not many public places to eat /drink close by. PROs: We loved it. 2 decent beds. 2 Flat screen TV’s. Small breakfast of yogurt and muffins that we didn’t expect. We were at the end of the 2nd floor and found it to be very quite. Beach views are great. Handicap lift for pool(which we didnt’ need). Full size fridge. Small oven. And I think all rooms have a private balcony with two chairs. Not large enough for breakfast tables. Bathroom was decent size with counter top space. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. HINT, try to get a room 3rd floor or higher. We had a lot of landscaped palm trees in front of our balcony that we felt were interfering with our view.

Pretty gross. Just got back from a 3 day vacay there. The first night I slept on a mattress covered in piss stains, so bad it seeped up through the sheets and my clothes smelled like urine. I wanted to vomit. They brought a new mattress in and I was relieved that it only smelled like mold. Stains are everywhere. Carpet, couch, tile. The room was damp and the ac put off a mildewish smell. I brought my own fan which helped dry the room out a little. I got there and immediately the ambulance showed up to tend to a drunk dehydrated lady by the pool, but the employee couldn’t go out and see what was going on because she was the only one there. It took several minutes to wait for her to get off the phone and check me in. Don’t even bother with the breakfast or wifi. The pool was supposed to be closed at 11, but every single night there were people in it after hours. A lot of unsupervised unruly kids. One guy even set up his portable charcoal grill right on the pool deck with flames shooting everywhere. A group of people spent a good deal of their time shouting off their balcony at passerby’s in Spanish during the late hours of the night. And where were the staff to control and take care of these things? Nowhere. They just let everyone run crazy. It’s not even spring break. So to sum it up, it’s nasty, dirty, stinky, loud, uncontrolled, crap. I would’ve used chaos but its not that exciting. Just plain crap and like Scott H. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

First the positives. It’s on the beach. That’s about it. Terrible beds, terrible bathrooms, terrible TV’s with mangled screens, A/C units that are subpar, worst continental breakfast in hotel history and the list goes on an on. Not worth more than $ 35 a night for a «suite». The beds they claim are«queens» are full size at best. False advertising on everything about this room. Oh, and paper thin walls, so don’t plan on getting more than a couple of hours of sleep per night. They also charge a hefty fee for wifi and the connection blows. Showers for oompa loompa people(I am only 5’7″ and I have to bend down to wash my hair). If they offered me a free room to come back I would rather pay to stay somewhere else. I could add more but I think you guys get the point. Thumbs way down to this place.

Stayed here many years ago on Spring Break. The room was decent for the price, but the location ISNOT near where all of the other spring breakers will be. We had to regularly walk over a couple of miles to get to and from where everyone else was.(Down by Sharky’s, etc) WIth that said, other than the location not being prime, it was a pretty decent place.

Stayed at the Beachcomber many times. While it does need some updating and could stand some renovations(painting, furnishings), its a great value for the money. The pool and hot tub are nice and its location is terrific.
