Went in for lunch the place was empty. We stood by the wait to be seated sign about five minutes and finally a woman comes out of the back (arms covered in tattoos and hair wrapped in a black rag) and she grunted that we could sit wherever. I ordered a turkey sandwich. It was so dry I thought I would choke. My dining partner had the quiche not fresh. While we were dining a waiter who worked there came to get his check. They didn’t have his check so an argument pursued. He ended up quitting because he said there was no business therefore no tips. He left, then our tatoo hostess left us sitting in the restaurant while she went to the parking lot to talk to someone in a truck. We asked for our check and when we paid she asked would we come back! I was actually kinda scared while I was there. I can’t imagine they will last.
Can’t give less than one star but would if that rating was available

$ 9 for a chicken salad sandwich and some chips? Errrr… Hello??? This is Pace! Service was ‘adequate’ at best. You just can’t justify paying what they are asking for the food and service you get.
I’ll be surprised if this place lasts. Which is sad, considering it would really be nice if it could make it.
Either lower your prices, or give people something worth what you are charging.

This place is awful. There’s a sign that says wait to be seated. When someone finally acknowledged me, she said just go sit anywhere. I requested 4 waters as 3 were joining me. When it arrived, I asked for a straw. She subsequently brought some but only gave one to me. The others had to ask even though she had them right there. We had to ask for water throughout our meal. Our slowly served meal. We got salads with flavorless chicken and sandwiches that tasted like they had just run down to Winn Dixie and grabbed bread from sale rack and random cold cuts. We were asking several times what we’d ordered and how check was to be split?/Did she lose our orders? It’s a wonder we ever ate! Poor service flavorless, overpriced food ($ 9 for my sandwich). I’m glad I didn’t have to be somewhere, such as back to work, in an hour. It wouldn’t have happened. My first and last visit.

Every thing about this place reminds me of a little shop in Santa Barbra I love that it’s a wine centered shop with the amazing fresh sandwiches my favorite so far is the London broil to the delicious and craving inducing Mediterranean hummus Save room for dessert and have the French kiss.

Always a treat to find a new, fresh place like South Market. Relaxed, comfortable, friendly and fun. Great wines at good prices. I’m now a fan of their moscato.
