The Granite Store and More

I purchased one of the small slabs with the bull nose already done. It was perfect size for my bathroom. It was very inexpensive. I also got two sinks. The installers were terrible. The glued it down before dry fitting it. To make the plumbing and sinks line up they had to sand down the back of the sinks. They cut the backsplash wrong which resulted in a poor install. The surface of the granite is pitted throughout and I went back in to the store and none of the displays are that way. Bottom line– you get what you pay for.

We were in the market for a new kitchen cabinets and counter-​tops. We went to Home Depot and paid $ 79 to have our cabinets measured and priced. We were shocked by the pricing from HD and stopped at The Granite Store. I had always noticed their building from 680 next to the Harley shop.
We met Kathy, sent her our measurements and photos of our kitchen. A few days later we sat down with her at the store and she showed us a 3D layout of the kitchen on her monitor (free of charge). We tweaked the layout to match our needs, which she was quickly able to do.
She revised our price as we made design changes… and her final price was still much less than received from HD.
We decided to use The Granite Store and met with Kathy again to pick the counter-​top, back-​splash and floor tile. (we ended up getting kitchen, entry way and laundry room all tiled and still at 60% of price of HD for cabinet and counter-​top only)
We were presented a schedule for the work, which Kathy changed to meet our schedule.
The first day they were supposed to arrive… bam…right on time. They completely demo’d our kitchen cleaned up and were gone by 5pm.
That evening I received a call telling me that the cabinet guys will be there the next morning as scheduled… but then… bam, right on time the next morning. They installed all the lower cabinets… by 5pm they are cleaned up and gone… a little later, I receive a phone call telling me the counter top guys will be arriving in the morning. On time again.
The schedule was met each day. The workers were very polite, neat and courteous.
The final product is fantastic! We are thrilled with our new kitchen.
We highly recommend The Granite Store. This really could have been a miserable experience with the wrong contractor but this really was a good experience from start to finish.

If you DONT want helpful customer service, then this is the place to go. Couldn’t get the salesperson to help us. She was very disinterested in us or helping us in any way. We had to keep searching her out to get her attention. We came ready to buy — it would have been an easy sale — but we left to spend our money elsewhere.

Don’t let them work on your house. We had them install countertops in our bathroom and kitchen on different times. The barroom came out ehhh. I should have never let them do my kitchen. 1^st they did the demo and tore apart my walls just taking off a 6inch tile backsplash. I had to hire somebody else just to repair it and they could not believe the damage they did. Then when it came to putting in the countertop they tried to install the wrong one. Then when they did install the correct one they botched the job. The seams look terrible. They chipped the island. Overall it just looks bad. On top of it all. I was not at the house to sign off on the work and the installers pressured my wife to sign the paperwork saying the job was good before I could look at it and she did. Now we are stuck with a bad job. I reiterate don’t let them do you kitchen.

I had a kitchen counter top — two pieces at very good price for the material w/​plumbing done by the Granite Store, the project just completed last week.
From the get-​go, Kathy could not have been nicer. She is knowledgeable and helpful. Kitchen remodeling is a series of decision making and endless of compromises. Kathy made my journey a lot easier.
Kathy, thank you for being so patient and supportive. It’s a pleasure to do business with you..

We’ve shopped for our own kitchen for awhile and finally found The Granite Store & More in Pacheco for our cabinets, prefab counter tops (quartz), and used the Lotus sink, our kitchen was not a very big, but needs 16 pcs of cabinets and 3 pcs of counter with installation, it cost us only ½ of what we quoted where else.
From the first visit to the store through the completion of job, they’ve done a excellent job, very knowledgeable sales staff to experience installer, we were pleased with their service, happy with their pricing and most importantly their faster turnaround. We will defiantly come back for our next project and highly recommend to our families and friends.

Terrible place to deal with. Tried to do business with them last year and it did not work out. tried again this year because we wanted to do business with a local company. All we asked for was a cabinet design and a quote. We were told they would have it to us in two hours. Never received it. Called them. they said they were too busy-​could maybe have to us Monday afternoon. Our contractor wantred the layout today and we were ready to order the cabinets. this place completely dropped the ball! Guess they are sooo busy they can turn away business. We also own an apartment building and would have gotten our cabinets and granite thru them…20 units! If they cannot even deliver on a promise to get us a drawing and quote for one small kitchen. they are not experienced or equipped to deliver for 20 units.
Don/​t waste your time with this palce-​they absolutely do not care about your business!

This is a wonderful store for viewing granite countertops & other kitchen & bathroom needs. We particularly appreciated the help & expertise provided by Kathy Gonzales, the store manager, when we were searching for a granite countertop. Their granite prices are very competitive & we would highly recommend this store.
