This is a convenience store/​gas station. It’s not Whole Foods. Deal with it.
The Indian dudes who run this place are generally super cool. They’re friendly and professional. They never get pissed off when I show up with a handful of loose change. They’re happy to open the till when I need to swap my coins for bills. Also, they always let me use the air pump for free when I need to top off my bike tires.
You’ve really got to hand it to the employees here. A lot of the customers at this place are. .. shall we say. .. trash. Plenty of tweakers in this area. I’ve seen some of these dirtbags yell and cuss at the clerks, but they take it in stride.

The pumps will take forever to fill up your tank. I’ve been sitting here for 5 minutes and I’m barely at 13 gallons.
Plus it’s a pain to pull in and out of here with traffic and the way the pumps are laid out.

The staff here is always friendly and polite. The store and gas pumping area is always clean. And they always have a deal on Red Bull which is nice because I drink way more of it than I should!

This Valero is the gas station part of A-​1 Liquors. The gas station is convenient on the corner of Center and Pacheco Blvd. and always has its share of shady characters going in and out of the Liquior store, but I have never been bothered by them or approached for $.
