Best acai!!! In san diego!!! Hands down the best! Their acai goes nuts is better then Crack! and good customer service too! The food is delicious and fresh! good food takes a little time and this place is definitely worth the wait and there prices are unbelievable$ 5.50 for the small acai and that is like a lb of food! and only $ 6.00 sandwiches I think I might have died and this is heaven! Super fresh I love the spring mix on the sandwiches and there bread and there whole wheat tortillas are the best! Best part is that you can tell the owner of this place Jennifer does care about the people that eat here and want them to be healthy!!! That’s hard to find these days!

I wrote you a private message on Unilocal but it said you hadn’t been checking the messages regularly. I also messaged you on Facebook and never heard back. I also called to speak to a manager and never received a call back. My review: I am writing because my fiancée and I both ate a breakfast bagel sandwich at café by the bay last Thursday. By early Friday morning, we were both extremely sick and had to go to urgent care, receive shots and prescription medicine(all of which we paid for). We both missed multiple days of work due to this as well. The cause was food poisoning and the only food we had both shared was the egg sandwich, not to mention it was the first thing we both threw up. There is no question where the food poisoning came from since it was the only thing we have both eaten the same of. The doctor at urgent care confirmed that it was ecoli poisoning. Please contact me, this type of health issue is disappointing and frankly not acceptable.

Great little place ! Awesome menu– Acai bowls are wonderful! They have bagels and sandwiches and wraps too. Veggie friendly also! The prices are right and the Acai is amazing! The peanut butter they use(yes get peanut butter on top) makes the bowl so amazing! There is a small parking lot which is nice — you can typically grab a spot. The girls there are friendly and always playing good music! Definietly a spot worth visiting for your morning meal or an afternoon snack or lunch! Always have great daily special, too!

Took 25 minutes to make a veggie sandwich with only 3 people ahead of my order. DONOT come to this place if you’re working within a time frame, they work ridiculously slow. My order only started being made after I asked for a refund because I didn’t want to be late to my appointment.

Without a doubt, I am here every weekend. The café itself is situated right next to another smoothie shop. I feel like this place is authentic because there is nothing over the top or fancy about the café itself, I tend to hate when some shops try to be too hip with the whole acai craze. Café By The Bay just seems like your local mom and pop shop. I love getting the Paradise bowl because they mix mangos as well. Sometimes they run out of fresh strawberries to top the bowl and will have to substitute blueberries — which I don’t like as much. If it’s a busy day, expect to wait. I love this place!

Love the acai bowls! I enjoyed acai goes nuts and my daughter enjoyed her paradise acai. I do agree there is a bit of a wait, so don’t go if you’re in a hurry. The staff was fine despite the crowd. Keeping it simple, if you’re looking for a good acai bowl, this is a great place.

Great Acai bowls, but it wasn’t too easy to find and there was only one girl working but she was working hard to get our orders out fast!

In town for a wedding at paradise pointe(see my review), & decided not to get screwed more than we already are considering the ridiculous prices of rooms, so we found this place on Unilocal.Yummy, well priced, healthy fare. Burritos are all $ 6& are made with wheat tortillas, avocado, choice of meat… The only reason that they get 4 instead of 5 stars is because the avocado they used in my wife’s salad was black. Everything else was on point.

Waited 30m for two smoothies. Never again. Zero sense of urgency. Cleanliness overall did not seem like a worry for them. I will never come back.

I go to Crown Point Coffee everyday almost and absolutely love them but today I was craving an acai bowl and I came to this establishment for the first time. I ordered an acai bowl and they forgot about me. I waited forever and once they realized they forgot about me they treated me worse. How does that make sense?! Luckily my receipt with the dollar tip was still on the counter so I could cross it off. I understand mistakes are made but don’t be even ruder to a customer because of it. The food isn’t good enough to put up with bad customer service. Sorry, Crown Point Coffee!!! I will never stray again!

Amazing Acai bowls– definitely the spot to go if you are trying to get healthy food. They make their Acai with a tea and no Apple juice which saves you all those grams of unwanted sugars. The café has their own parking lot which is nice because it’s on a busy road. Very cute spot close to the beach which great food and drinks! It’s a mom and pop shop, they are very hands on and professional which is nice to see these days.

I stopped by this neighborhood joint for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the food and prices. The California carne asada burrito was great and only 6 $. It was hot, fresh and had very high quality ingredients. Definitely will be back for sandwhiches and more!

Don’t go if you don’t have the time to sit and wait for your food. Food isn’t anything special and even know they have 6 + people working in there… It takes forever! I got a bagel with cream cheese and was amazed. Never going back.

Acai Bowl or the Pitaya Bowl is the loaded and healthy breakfast option in the little café tucked away off of Ingraham Street in Crown Point. What burgers are to Rocky’s the Acai Bowl is the Café By the Bay. So loaded and filling. There are a few parking spots and plenty of street parking. The line to the coffee shop is usually out the door, but you can order some quick sandwiches and healthy options here which is usually a great fix after a morning on the water. Post workout and doggie walkers are usually here on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I’ve been wanting to try the acai bowls here for a while, so I stopped by the other day around 11am and ordered the #2 bowl with peanutbutter. There were 2 people that had shown up before me and already ordered, so it wasn’t busy, and it took 25 minutes for my acai bowl! Almost a half hour for a small acai bowl, I couldn’t believe it. I thought the acai and whatever they blended it with(tasted like a whole entire honey bear of honey) was way too sweet and too runny, like a soup, which made it the messiest acai bowl to eat ever lol. The people that worked there were nice, though.

This place is amazing. The Acai bowls are fantastic and you must get it with peanut butter! Haven’t tried the sandwiches yet but for how good everything else I bet there good as well.

Service tends to be slow, but it takes time to create their beautiful acai bowls. Bowls taste fresh. My favorite is the tropical blend acai bowl it has organic acai, mango, blueberries, strawberries, banana with apple juice. Topped with sliced bananas, strawberries, honey, granola & coconut. It’s not watery and for a large is only $ 7.50 compared to basic places! Food is okay I’ve only tried their steak quesadilla. It’s alright for a quick bite. This is my acai bowl place forsure!

Love, love, love their breakfast burritos! I tried an acai bowl for the first time ever at Café by the Bay and I am hooked. Fairly priced, delicious, and fresh. Food takes time here but they make everything fresh and so it is well worth the wait!
