Love that this park is gated and has a clean restroom. Bring toy cars for your kids to play on the track. Tons of toddlers here on most days. Huge trees line the fence for shaded parking. Park can get hot in the sun. Don’t forget sunscreen!

Growing up in Pacific Grove, I went here all the time as a kid. It’s a great place to hold a picnic or a birthday party.

We enjoy Caledonia Park at least once a week. It’s clean, spacious, and best of all, fenced in! I also appreciate the fact that the park is partially shaded to protect us from the California sun. There are two large play structures and various other small«toys» throughout the wood-chipped area. Great park for my toddler but would be great for older kids, too. We like to pick up a coffee from PG Juice and Java and head down to the park so the kids can blow off steam. The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest in the world, but they’re usable. Caledonia is a fantastic PG park!

This is a jewel of a park in Pacific Grove. There are two separate modern jungle gym areas, each for kids of different ages, a basketball court, a field for softball or soccer, and lots of area for kids to run around in. It even has a tetherball pole! It has a restroom, a drinking fountain, some benches, and a couple of picnic tables. Caledonia Park tends to be less windy than the rest of PG, so it can be a good place to go even when the weather is less than clement. The play set areas have wood chips, not sand, on the ground, which is a lot less messy than sand. This is a good place for children as soon as they can toddle, all the way until they lose interest in such«childish» places as playgrounds. On the first weekend of December, they bring artificial snow to the park and let kids slide down the«snow» hill created on the BB court. They also have a mini petting zoo, bouncy houses, and a few other attractions, and Santa comes to visit. Downsides? * No barbecue equipment(not necessarily a negative, though) * Cigarette butts in the wood chips(probably provided by local juvenile delinquents) * Often cold, windy, foggy(in other words, it’s in Pacific Grove)
