I hired Rick to repair vinyl flooring damaged by my previous tenant. Rick was prompt to reply when I called and completed the work within a day thereafter. He did a great job on the repair: flawless.

Rick Baumann is a craftsman. He replaced the carpeting in two of our rooms and they look and feel terrific. We appreciated his careful attention to all the details — from re-​sizing the doors to prevent drag and wear — to leaving everything clean and back in place. His costs are reasonable and his experience invaluable. Rick advised us on the perfect carpeting for our needs — Magic Fresh by Beaulieu — which neutralizes odors and is perfect with our big ol’ dog lying around the house. My hardwood floors were in bad shape. There was water damage from a leaky door and significant wear since I let them go too long. I had about four different floor guys come out to give me an estimate. 3 of them said there would be minor repairs needed and the rest of the damage could be sanded away. Rick came and did a thorough assessment and disagreed with the other three and showed me what other sections needed to be repaired. The extra repair cost was minimal. I was going to the trouble of moving all of my furniture out for painting and the floor work. I wanted the job done right. Rick went through my plan of replacing the leaky door, the painting, the moving, etc. and made recommendations. The painters finished early, so Rick adjusted his schedule to help me get back into the house more quickly. The floors turned out great. The sections that were repaired look fantastic and the finish is beautiful. I would enthusiastically recommend Rick. He left the worksite clean as well. I was expecting lots of dust like the last time… no dust!

I cannot say much about his work as we never got that far with him. I repeatedly tried to get a quote from Rick on a floor refinishing project that needed to be completed ASAP as I had told him, After recieving the quote via email, I immediately replied to him asking when he could start the job. He replied that he would call me in the morning before 10am. At 12pm, I called him and asked him about his availability to which he said, I have to check and call you back. I was put off again and again and treated as if my project was not important. He said he had a few jobs scheduled in between yesterday and the next morning. I expressed that I was frustrated by having to continually follow up and he said that he didn’t need my job and we should just go our separate ways. Nice customer service Rick. You and your business partner need to communicate A LOT better!
