Amazing place. Had a last minute need for hairstyling (going to take a photo with my favorite celebrity) and fortunately for me Jeanette had a cancellation.
She did an AMAZING job on my hair and it wasn’t too expensive.
Plus, they have a lot of cool stuff there like feathers for the hair, foot jewelry and glitter. Definitely my kind of place.

After moving to Pacifica 5 years ago I tried different salons. Then I found Sue at Obsessions, and I’ve been a happy camper ever since. She is happy to do what I want. She knows how to cut my thick wavy hair — a hard thing to find. She is fast and professional, the shop is clean and spacious, and the location is terrific.

I’m really picky about stylists. The owner of this place is absolutely amazing. Give her creative license and let her fly. You’ll come out a new woman and fall in love with yourself. The prices are reasonable, so make sure you tip well. Also, don’t go to her with boring stuff because it’s an absolute waste of her talent. You can go anywhere for that.

I have ultra-​fine, wavy, medium brown hair that is wonderfully soft to the touch but has no other redeemable qualities. Most stylists find it extremely hard to cut evenly, let alone stylishly. I also discovered, through this salon, actually, that in addition to being hard to cut, my hair is hard to dye and keep from fading, so I’ve given up trying to do much with it and pretty much represent the typical 20-​something who just wants a good haircut without any special services or frills.
Luckily, I discovered Sue about six haircuts ago. Sue has really fine hair too, so she naturally knows a lot about it! She has given me consistently cute, on-​trend short cuts that don’t need too much styling. She’s really fun and interesting to talk to, too!
So if you have fine and annoying hair like mine, I suggest asking for Sue.

I have wanted to have purple in my hair for years. I have tried it once before a few years ago with another stylist and it just didn’t work. And it seemed like everyone else I talked to was either scared or stumped and gave me only bleaching options because of my very dark hair. I walked in to Obsessions and told Jeannette what I wanted to do. She not only totally got what I was going for but created her own eggplant/​violet concoction and it looks amazing! She gave me a purple glow that is gorgeous. It’s very subtle indoors but when I’m outside (especially in the sun) it just glows! Plus, she gave me a great haircut to boot! I’m thrilled with Jeannette and love my new funky purple glow! Thanks so much Jeannette! Obsessions Rocks!

Aimee Fabbri — Esthetician
I’ve come to Aimee for waxing and facials, and swear by her and recommend all of my friends.
Aimee was really patient with me while waxing. She was quick and it was relatively painless, well as painless as it can be. She knows which wax works best for certain areas, etc. I moved to NY and can no longer go to Aimee, but have called her when I had wax stuck and other random problems to get her advice on what to do/​what to use to get it out.
She is the best!!!

I’ve been going to Obsessions for years now, and i must admit i love this place (: I go to Sue for haircuts&coloring…I always end up leaving happy. I go to Aimee for waxing as well, her room is a nice calm setting and she’s a very friendly person. She also helps me with make-​up, they sell bare essentials there which i love! Overall, all the girls in the shop are always smiling&it’s an amazing experience everytime I go in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! (:

If you want service, a great cut and color at really reasonable prices (but cares when your talking about your hair) and a warm a welcoming feeling. They are fun people who enjoy what they do and make everyone look better than when they came in.

Went in for a color touch up and at first the stylist had no idea how to achieve my color without bleaching. No, no bleach, just single process. Fine.
Then was talked into adding highlights to my already very processed hair. «It’ll add some depth, your color is flat». Well, ok, if you really really think so. Needless, to say I had frizz galore and breakage for months after. More kink and fried looking hair than I could shake a stick at.
The next stylist I went to following this couldn’t believe that anyone would actually suggest highlighting already very lightened and fine blond hair.
And at $ 130 + for the privilege, I think I can find better ways of dropping such coin without hair breaking off.
Maybe their cuts are better than their color services?

Where else can you get your beauty and surf at the same location, I ask you?
I was first attracted by the mineral makeup sign in the window. I came in for a consultation with Aimee Fabbri and love the Bare Minerals line she uses. Her suggestions for color are always right on. My mom and I both have sensitive skin, so I brought my mom down to Pacifica during her latest visit to SF and now she is into Bare Minerals, too, plus Aimee waxed her eyebrows and she looked 10 years younger!
So now Aimee is my aesthetician, too. She does dermabrasion, waxing, you name it, and is also a certified massage therapist. Awesome combo, you couldn’t meet a nicer person. I love coming to Pacifica and here is another reason to make the trip. Plus, now I look years younger too…
