My 10 year old daughter just completed a week of summer camp at SVE. She LOVED it and learned a lot! I surveyed most of the other horse camps from HMB to San Bruno and SVE won hands down. It’s a safe, clean, nurturing environment for kids and horses. If I was a horse, I would want to live at SVE!

We have always loved taking lessons with Sun Valley Equestrian, but we are over the moon excited about their new location! Chloe She feels constantly challenged by her lessons and gains confidence every week. I cannot say enough good things about the instructors, the facility and our overall experience with them!!!

It is a 20minute drive from my city home to this lovely country getaway in Pacifica. The weather is suprisingly sunny as it is inland from the beach. The horses are well cared for, instructors are wonderful with kids and adults alike and Diane, the owner runs the place like clockwork and with a very personal touch. My 8year old has been riding here for a year and has become a strong, confident rider. She has also learned so much about horsemanship. We can’t say enough great things about Sun Valley. Try out the summer camp, too, which the kids adore.

What a wonderful experience for kids and adults. For more than a year, our son and daughter have been taking lessons at Sun Valley Equestrian and it has taught them so much about their abilities to take on new things, respect for animals, the benefits of some hard work and the patience it takes to ride these beautiful horses. Diane and her team of instructors are terrific at finding the right balance of fun and interaction with the horses, instructors and even the other riders, especially during the week-​long horse camps. The new facilities and trails are excellent and riding there is a highlight of each week. We love it!

My daughter has recently started riding and horsemanship lessons at Sun Valley Equestrian and she couldn’t be happier. The highlight of her week is coming out for her riding lesson and she is extremely excited to attend the summer camp this summer. I feel so fortunate to have found Diane and her staff — as I think their love for horses and passing down their passion and knowledge to the «next generation» is evident in every aspect of their business. My daughter has worked with several of the trainers and they have all been top-​notch. Safety and learning how to care for the horses is top priority. I have never seen such well-​cared for and loved horses and the staff and community at the ranch make so many efforts to include the children in extra interactions with the animals, from feeding to cleaning up to caring for the tack. I feel very lucky to have found this riding program, and all within 15 minutes of San Francisco– incredible!

I board my gelding at Sun Valley Equestrian and couldn’t be happier. There is a wonderful arena to ride in with beautiful scenery surrounding you. I’ve seen many riding academies and Sun Valley is one of the best out there. They have several different trainers to bring out the best in you and your horse. They are able to cater to beginning riders as well as advanced riders for lessons, schooling shows, etc. Their students are taught all aspects of horsemanship so they understand safety as well as a bond with the horse they are riding.
The trainers are knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to give a helping hand if you need it. The trainers are highly skilled and each have their own specialty. There is a multitude of knowledge and years of experience in this barn. The owner, Diane, is a great business woman who cares about her staff, students, horses and her boarders. This is a rare thing to find. Her business is truly an equestrian family!
