Nestled in the Washington mountains is the small town of Packwood! It was Saturday, 10.30 am. We knew, it was a little late for breakfast, but after the task in finding a parking spot, we decited for *Cruisers pizza’. The coffee came in a big carafe, what we appriciated and yasted great! The servings were good prepared. and filled the whole plate up! Also good! My husband made big eyes! Later the cook told him, that she makes 4 eggs, so you canshare it! Now, who would share a meal so good? We left satisfied and in awe of that beautiful winter scenery!

I don’t know how this place deserves a good rating. It is ok, but just barely. Lots of flies and a spider crawling around. That ended up on my husband’s shirt. The place also has cobwebs on the roof. Don’t bother upgrading to the onion rings either. Definitely not worth it. The service was fine.

We visited Cruiser’s Pizza while visiting the Packwood Inn near Mount Rainier. The small town of Packwood does not have many restaurants so we were excited to see a pizza place. We ended up ordering two medium pizzas — one pepperoni and one sausage. The pizza was average, but nothing special. I thought it was a little too cheesy/greasy. Their gourmet pizzas looked more interesting but were much more expensive — nearly $ 30 a pizza. The restaurant is small, outdated, and a order at the counter kind of place. Not bad, just not great.

Stayed for a night in town after driving through Mt. Rainier. There are only two places open after 7pm in town, this place and the saloon next door. As exciting as the idea of going to a saloon would be, we decided to come here because we wanted something quick and easy. It is a cute diner-style place with a sweet waitress behind the counter taking orders. The place was half empty when we walked in, and it looked like a popular place with the locals. We order the medium Combo pizza and an order of fried pickle to go, and was told that it would be a 20-minute wait. I was surprised by the wait time, but we decided to just kill some time by going to the supermarket next door. After picking up the pizza, the sheer weight of it surprised me, and when I finally opened it, I realized that it was a ginormous pizza. The filling was nearly the same size as the pizza dough and the cheese was probably 2-inches thick. I personally though the pizza was terrible, it was oily, salty and the crust was soggy. But the bf thought it was amazing. So I guess the takeaway from this review is that hungry guys will probably like it as it is extremely filling and very substantial in size. I disliked it because it felt like I was just eating an overly cheesy oily minced meat pie. Wish I took a picture!

Honestly, the pizza was pretty tasty but if we ever make it to Packwood again and are craving pizza again, I’ll get it TO-GO. Overall if i was just rating their pizza, i probably would give Cruisers 4 ½ stars. But there are other factors that go into a review… First of all, there are few dining options in the area, and cruisers is open late(i think 11 on a Friday night) so they earned one star back for that. Where they lost stars was in costomer service. I should clarify that there were two polite girls who I should have got the names of to personally thank. They actually said things like, «thank you for coming» and«I’m so sorry, but this area is closed for cleaning. Would you mind moving to the other side?» Nothing that would stand out at most reataurants, but since everyone else had treated us as if we were inconveniencing them, these two short interactions probably saved their restaurant from loosing two stars in their review. The customer service from each if the other employees was terrible. We stood at the register trying to order pizzas for several minutes before the gal taking orders even acknowledged us. She tossed our drink cups at us and avoided any conversation whatsoever. When our salad was delivered, it was tossed on the table. «Thank you!» We said as the gal walked away. A bit later the pizza arrives, «thank you!» We cheerfully say again. This time, «uh huh». Seriously? Nobody ever asked how anything was even though the multiple employees walked by our table multiple times. When we left, the same two polite girls wished us a good evening while everyone gave us looks as if to say«good riddance». When we got to the car, we both immediately remarked on how unwelcome we felt. Glad there were ither people in town who served as ambassadors for the town of packwood, otherwise we would have had a negative impression of this cute little town. Written based on a trip in July, just posted late.

I believe my wife and I found the perfect pizza to please us both, crunchy outside crust for me, chewy inside crust for her, topped with a bunch of food tasting toppings. The pizzas are big, justifying the price, would definitely eat here again!

This pizza is so good! You can do half and half on the toppings which is great for a couple. The ingredients are fresh(even the mushrooms!) and the crust is delicious.

Surprisingly good! From the looks of the place — and yes, they could apply a little TLC to the exterior — I wasn’t expecting much. I got a personal sized pizza with cheese, salami and artichoke hearts. The sauce was nice, the crust was cooked perfectly, and the pizza was really good. My husband was in the mood for a good old-fashioned cheeseburger and that’s exactly what he got. Grilled bun, good meat cooked perfectly, and just nothing at all to critique. Large serving of fries — — too large for older customers — but we were really impressed and pleasantly surprised.

Got an order to go — Lg Garlic Chicken with extra sauce & chicken. Should not have done that, put me off pizza altogether… the chicken were small diced cubes of processed meat product and there was touch sauce(even for extra). Should have asked what the local favourite pizza was and ordered that instead — I suspect that the kind folks don’t get many request like mine. Nice clean family restaurant — very kind and attentive personnel(I’m a bit biased, I’m partial to Packwood and the folks there) — I’m saying that my experience probably was singular and not the norm. Again, probably best to order what the local folks order — that is definitely what I’m going to do later this year camping at Ohanapecosh CG.

THE place to go for food in Packwood! This place is totally casual and family friendly. You order at the counter and find your own table. They got a lot more stuff(the burgers looked great and they serve breakfast too) than pizza. We got a large #7 gourmet pizza w BBQ chicken, bacon and pineapples and clam strips. The pizza was wonderful — perfect combination of sweet BBQ sauce, pineapple and salty bacon and cheese. They have a nice selection of beer on tap too.

Wow! I’m not sure why it shows $$ for cost. The 4 of us(2 couples) tried the western omelet. They brought 2 plates two the table and we told her we thought the second plate belonged to our friends. Nope! We should have split 1 omelet 4 ways! Half an omelet FILLED the plate with the hash Browns that came with it. The food was great! A couple that came in warned us that their pancakes are…(she held her hands about 16″ to 18″ apart).

GREAT pizza!!! Any of food is your average diner pre made burgers etc. but the pizza !! There’s some kind of crusty delicious crust and the sauce is great, not too acidic. Staff is friendly

It doesn’t look special, neither does this hamlet in the forrest on the way to Rainier National Park but I got an very well prepared veggie omelet with cooked-just-right hash browns. This is more than just a pizza and beer place for the biker crowd. A really good omelet isn’t easy to do: it shouldn’t be oily or have browned eggs. The veggies should include more than just peppers, onions and tomato. This omelet had mushrooms and broccoli.
