Perfect place to fill out your stomach. We were visiting Antelope Canyon and Horseshoes Band over the last weekend, this place was highly recommended by our friends. Indeed, I will also highly recommend this place for you to enjoy the BBQ. Personally, I’d prefer Brisket(more juicy) over Pull Pork(less juicy). Check out the Groupon for Better discount !!

For a little BBQ joint in Page, AZ this place hits the spot! We came out here for a tour of the Antelope Canyon and decided to stop here for lunch. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and service is prompt. The BBQ wasn’t the only good thing, we had some wonderful hot links and a great cobbler. Their ice cream selection is stellar as well!

OMG this place is soooo cute. As a converted gas station, this BBQ joint is the busiest spot in town and offers free live music every night. The wait can be long but the service here was so welcoming and friendly, I felt like I fit right in. Communal tables with red and white checkered table clothes and stacks of hay for seating in the waiting area makes this place feel like a backyard shin-dig. Next time I need to bring my cowboy boots. Yes the food is pricey.. . BBQ is always pricey. We got the sampler plate and everything was flavorful, smokey and tender, but it was their buttery moist melt in your mouth stick to your teeth corn bread that got me yearning for those summer nights back in Page, Arizona. And don’t forget your ice cold beer or sweet tea.

My husband and I had dinner at Big John’s on Friday of the thanksgiving holiday. Positives: we enjoyed the food. We tried the brisket and the ribs. The ribs were very smoked and the meat fell off the bone. The brisket was moist and with a great sauce. The colesaw was excellent and we repeated. Negatives: the service. The staff was clearly overwhelmed by the demand. There were two lines for the counter and they were only attending one of them. It took them around twenty minutes to add our name to the waiting list for a table. They told us they had run out of ribs and we ordered brisket. Later we heard them offer ribs to other customers. When I heard that, I ordered ribs but they lost my order. We were seated with another couple that we didn’t know because they didn’t have enough tables. We didn’t mind. They had also ordered brisket. When our food arrived they only had one brisket left for us and the other couple. The waiter said that whichever couple didn’t get brisket could get ribs! The other couple was faster than us switching to ribs. We finally kept the brisket and ordered ribs on the side. The staff kept mumbling that they were so surprised how full the restaurant was in a random day in the winter maybe forgetting that it was Thanksgiving holiday. To sum up, come here in a quiet day and come early or there may not be any food left

Plus points for roasted peanuts. I liked the casual Texan décor and the no-frills barbecue vibe of this place. Their smoked barbecue was absolutely delicious and beans was such a happy addition in the cold weather. The lady serving us seemed to be charmingly forgetful. She forgot my order of cornbread muffin and I was not even mad at that cuz she was so genuinely apologetic.

If you’re looking for a nice, bbq meal while in Page, this is a good place to go. They have some nice smokers out front and a diner-esque feel inside. A fair number of tourists here(wonder if it’s because this place already has relatively high and plenty Unilocal reviews), myself included. They smoke and only salt and pepper their bbq meats but there’s this slightly spicy bbq sauce on the tables. We got the bbq sampler which came with 3 meats such as brisket and sausage. It was pretty tasty and good for what I was looking for in Page to fuel up. Their sides include Cole slaw, potato salad(only thing that isn’t made in house and tastes that way) and cowboy beans. Prices are on the slightly higher end for what you’re getting but I’m not sure what else is around in Page. Service was good. The server checked in on us periodically. Overall, a decent bbq spot in Page if that’s what you’re looking for.

We have been disrespected! Pls educate your staff on properly entertaining customers, especially tourists! We do not want to think that we have been discriminated but that server, a fat, curly haired woman, definitely made us feel unwelcome!!! And to think we were just inquiring your menu and requested to be seated outside. She gave us the menu and commanded us to sit down instead of asking what we want. Not even a smile! Wth! And when she heard my mom’s request of being seated outside she replied that we «go ahead! But I don’t go outside!» EXCUSEME?! WHATKINDOFSERVICE! We are so upset and your restaurant was our first stop here in your town! SHAME! To that woman, be thankful we are educated or else we would have stayed and really made you feel how shitty you are at your job and as a person! NOSTARS!

I’m usually not a big BBQ person so I ordered a simple salad there. However, my 3 companions loooooved the place so much that they ate there every night we were in town. Foods were all pre-made so they served extremely fast. Large quantity for very reasonable price. Free peanuts Even offered a really generous amount of BBQ sauce. Corn bread was amazing probably because they soaked them in butter. My only problem is that they had a lot of flies in the restaurant.

If your going to eat BBQ in Page, eat at Big John’s. Four of us ate family style and shared the brisket, pork and chicken. All of the meats were moist and cooked perfectly. The sides were more than space fillers. Both the slaw and the beans are first rate. No penalty on the stars, but in Texas they serve diet Dr. Pepper. Five stars for what it is: Arizona small town BBQ.

If you’re visiting Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, this place is a must try for lunch or dinner. It’s practically located right in between the two! Parking is actually a little tricky. They have a small lot around the restaurant. Otherwise it’s street parking. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area. The indoor seating was pretty small. The outside seating area was large and wide open. If you sit outside, you can see a couple of the giant bbq grills they use! Smelled so good! The service was great. Very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Great pork and beef! Very moist and flavorful. Good portion size for the money. The bbq sauce is a little sweet, and I kept pouring it over all of the meat! We also had the peach cobbler which was nice and warm with generous ice cream scoops on top! Great way to finish the meal! All in all, great bbq joint! Highly recommend this place!

Excellent restaurant pour manger a l’américaine !! Comptez 20 dollars par personne pour un repas complet incluant le plat principal a base de viande grillée au BBQ, une boisson et un dessert. Le tout en extérieur, accompagné de musique country live !! Le service est rapide et agréable. Côté boissons né ratez pas la «bière» Grand Canyon qui est en fait une Ale. Évitez le vin servi dans des verres en plastique scellés par un opercule en aluminium !! Côté viandes, le menu propose du bœuf, poulet ou porc grillés au bbq accompagnés ou non de beans, coleslaw et patates-mayonnaise. Le menu illustre chacun des 14 plats par une photo. Nous avons pris l’assiette a 10 $ incluant du bœuf dans du pain a burger, des beans(flageolets) et du coleslaw. Le bœuf était excellent et le coleslaw vraiment bon et frais. Testez la sauce bbq !!! En accompagnement j’ai aussi pris un muffin au maïs(cornbread), original ! Enfin côté dessert, principalement de la glacé. Si vous voulez rester américain prenez le soda à la glacé vanille, composé de root beer avec beaucoup de glacé a la vanille !!!

Great ribs. Good brisket and pulled pork. Average sausage but still better in most places in US. Waiter was friendly. They were preparing for evening love concert but we couldn’t stay longer. I would definitly come back for those long barbecued ribs!

Sehr cooles BBQ. Wir saßen draußen auf Bierbänken leider im Rauch vom Smoker aber gut so ist halt BBQ. Sehr engagierte nette Bedinungen. Sollten wir nochmals nach Page kommen, kommen wir bestimmt nochmal vorbei. Das Essen war typisch BBQ. Schön rauchig perfekt gegrillt. Und die Portionen sind auch von der Größe sehr ordentlich. Hatte eine gemischte Platte, kann ich jedem nur empfehlen. So hat man alles mal probiert.

Visiting Page, AZ for vacation as I’m sure many others are doing. What a pleasant stay with great landscape markers to see! Decided to come on a Saturday night… always a good sign when you see BBQ smoke, hear live music, and see plenty of people. THEGOODNESS: – Menu: Love the pictures. It makes it so much easier to read and navigate. Not to mention, everything looked tasty. I recommend the sampler plate as it let’s you try a good variety, but the ribs are wonderfully tender. – The BBQ Sauce: AMAZING. The meat itself was good but along with the BBQ sauce, it is amazing. It had a special kick to it that is hard to describe and hard to eat without! – The Environment: Love the southern Texas feel. They even had country singers on stage. THENOTSOGOODNESS: – Not much to say. I felt the meat was good but moreso because of the BBQ sauce. The meat itself, although good, was probably above average… not amazing. Together with the sauce, however, love it. WOULD I COMEBACK? Yes. Honestly there aren’t THAT many restaurants in Page, so this easily climbs to the top but it also maintains credit of its own… love the BBQ sauce. Must try!

I loved the baby back ribs. They fall off the bone. We also got beef and pork and smothered everything with their amazing bbq sauce. My only complaint is why is there no white wonder bread? I got Grand Canyon beer(the light one) which was pretty good. The corn bread is a little dry, the cole slaw was refreshing, and the corn on the cob, was good. We spent about $ 25 a person for really good bbq. You can tell by the legit smokers in the front. GREATSTOP after antelope canyon and horseshoe bend!

First, I’ve to say this place has tons of flies flying around me trying to steal my food. I didn’t like that, it’s really annoying. I appreciate a place with some hygiene. I never been to Texas, so I’m not sure if the BBQ meat there are supposed to be dry and hard, but here, the meat is definitely taste that way. I’ve ordered the Big John’s Sample Plate(this is what my server recommended), Pound of Beef Brisket, and the Corn. The Big John’s Sample Plate included chili beans, photo salad, toast, beef brisket, sausage, baby back ribs, and pull pork. The only thing I like on this plate is the pull pork. The rest was just not my thing. The beef brisket was really dry, even with their homemade barbecue sauce, it’s still really hard to chew. I have to give up eating because my jaw was hurt from chewing, and with all those flies around me, I think my appetite was already lost before the food came. I don’t recommend this place, but if you are a fly lover, or dry meat and sore jaw are your thing, then… go ahead.

We had lunch here 8÷25÷15 and loved it. Great BBQ food, wonderful service and a nice atmosphere with cafeteria style seating. At night they have a live band and line dancing. If you are in Page you have to check this place out. We had the mixed BBQ plates and Grand Canyon beers. I thought the prices were good for the amount of high quality food you receive. I would go back and recommend it to you.

Stayed in a place near Big John’s Texas BBQ. We saw these jumbo smokers and had to Unilocal it to see what time they were closing. It was few minute walk from where we stayed at and excited to try this place out! It was packed but we managed to find seating near the live music. Service was great, the guy that was taking our order was helpful. Reasonable prices, they offer Grand Canyon Beers. Got the sampler plate that came with pulled pork, chicken, bbq beef brisket and ribs! Along with bread, coleslaw and beans. It was perfect for two people. Yummy bbq, great country music, live band, and fun atmosphere. It was a great experience!

Great place to stop by if your visiting horseshoe bend in AZ. My boyfriend wasn’t as fond of this place, but I still think it’s decent considering the prices and location. We shared a combo plate and nachos with brisket meat. I love bbq in general, and so it’s hard to disappointment me. I will say that I’ve tried better BBQ though. The meat tasted fresh off the grill, but I didn’t find anything too special about it. I was hungry after our mini hike, and so I still enjoyed my food. I also think it’s the best food you will find in this town. The nachos wasn’t as impressive, but I do like how it had generous meat portions for $ 10. Different pros and cons, but overall 4 stars. I’d recommend eating inside if you want to avoid smelling like BBQ from the smoke.

There aren’t very many options after 9pm on a Saturday night in Page. Luckily, this place was open! The place was packed upon arrival. Luckily, people come and go quickly. Picnic tables with shelled peanuts await guests. Menu is pretty simple. I ended up ordering a kids meal(pulled pork sandwich, chips, and soda) since I wasn’t too hungry. Nothing too noteworthy except the portion was just right. I did indulge in 1 rib. The flavors were really smoked in there. I think the best part about this place is their homemade bbq sauce. It had a little kick to it. I was disappointed that they ran out of salted caramel ice cream. There’s at least over a dozen ice cream flavors at the counter. You can try different samples. There was enough salted caramel to sample, but not enough to make as a scoop. Service wasn’t too bad given the # of people that night. Overall, not sure if I’d come back again…

Haben hier nur was getrunken bei live Musik im Freien. Dazu gab’s Erdnüsse for free. Zum gemeinsamen Bierchen am Abend auf Bierbänken und abundzu mitsingen ist diese Lokalität bestens geeignet. Der Smoker direkt nebenan könnte bei einigen einen erneuten Heißhunger auslösen, ob der belohnt wird kann ich leider nicht sagen.
