The Saturday market was small, but varied and we got lots of produce and delicious local honey. I would recommend following up your visit here with a trip to Maku’u on Sunday just for the sheer volume, but SPACE is not to be missed.

SPACE rocks my world! The Saturday morning markett is not to miss. Lots of vendors. You can find local and organic foods to eat, raw to cooked, vegan to everything eater, and get stocked up on local produce and staples like honey. Do get a green smoothy, coconut based, smooth and sweet. Also, this is a great social time as much of the community comes out. SPACE is so much more also: Seaview Performing Arts Center for Education. Many of the communities youth go to school here and I personally have much more to learn about this incredible SPACE! Plus, the is a giant play ground: D

I really love this place. I know it by its weekly market but it is so much more. It is a performing arts space as well as intentional community. SPACE stands for Seaview Performing Arts Center for Education. I know they teach circus arts and have had the pleasure of viewing children performing what they have learned. Really fun people. The market though is amazing. Lots of vendors. The community grows its own food and has farms from around the island come too. There are artisan breads, raw foods, artisan soaps, hand made jewelry, food vendors making very delicious foods and smoothies. There are health vendors selling superfoods, essential oil concoctions, etc. fresh coconut water. I can’t say enough about this place for fresh, local veggies and goodies. I bought a lovely copper ring from a sweet man who makes extraordinary jewelry. A male friend also bought a beautiful copper ring for himself. I miss this place!
