So much to do in this little olé community park… not-so-cleverly called, ‘Community Park.’ There’s multiple playgrounds(though I think one technically belongs to the grammar school on the out edge of the park– it’s still open to everyone during non-school and daylight hours), a skate park, an outdoor amphitheater, a picnic pavilion, walking/bike path, and two big baseball fields in mint condition that are open to the public for FREE. There’s also an aquatic center and an indoor performing arts center that are open seasonally for a relatively nominal fee. The performing arts center has small productions of popular shows like Monty Pythons Spam-A-Lot and more. In the summer this park hosts a pretty decent 4th of July fest put on by the local Jaycee’s organization with fireworks and some bands that are actually pretty rad. I come here on the regular because I’m re-learning how to ride a bike… which is much harder and scarier than I would’ve imagined. I also like this park to pack a blanket, some picnic supplies(mainly Hot Cheetos and Takis), and a Frisbee… because I’m super in to flying disks right now.
