Oh the days before Fannie May closed and reopened under new ownership… How I miss the perfect swirls on the chocolates so you could actually tell what it was before poking a hole in the bottom or taking a bite out of it (I never did that). Oh the perfect caramels so creamy and smooth… oh how I miss the REAL Fannie May…
So this review really goes out to all the Fannie May locations. Compared to the original Fannie May, the new version is terrible. The Chocolate coating is thick, clumsy and not as smooth as before. The caramels are terrible — sugary and crusty — no longer smooth and creamy. The candy is «ok», but definitely not worth the Fannie May premium price. The only thing that I’ve tasted that is still as good as it used to be is the Chocolate Caramel candy bar. The caramel inside is still ooey gooey good.
It’s sad that it’s not so great anymore… I used to LOVE Fannie May… now it’s only «so so».
