The staff at this salon seem so rushed sometimes. It’s a shame because I do feel they do a good job usually but today they acted like they wanted to get you in and out. I had to tell the girl to file and buff my nails because she neglected to do so. I am not picky on my pedicures but do not want to seem like I’m being rushed out especially if they do take walk ins. I come in for the hot stone massage but I’m really going to have to reconsider coming back after all these years.

Friendly, clean, fast, and decent acrylic nail fill-in. However it was expensive for just a fill-in($ 45 plus tip). Usually it’s $ 25-$ 35 anywhere else I’ve been. I also didn’t like their manners in asking for a tip, and then telling me next time it needs to be in cash.

I love this place! I’ve been to many nail salons and none compare to Smile Nails. They are all about the customer. Christmas gifts, free birthday manicure, and for every service you get points to later apply. And they do a great job! I’ve never been disappointed as long as I live and work in this area I will always go to Smile!

Smile nails is my absolute favorite nail salon. I live in the city but everytime I come to the suburbs I make sure to stop here. Regular mani lasts for almost 2 weeks! Everyone that works there is so great!

I received a birthday coupon for a free manicure in the mail for my daughter, 11 years old. She had her nails done there for her birthday the previous year. When we arrived we were told that the coupon was a mistake and it is not for children. I showed the gentleman the envelope that the coupon came in. It was addressed to her. He insisted it was an error and only for adults. I asked, what are you saying? You will not honor the coupon? He said, no. We left under served, under whelmed and will not ever go back. My thought is even if it was a mistake why wouldn’t they honor their coupon and provide customer service in the hopes of gaining a loyal customer?

I came here for the first time on New Year’s Eve. I was very impressed by all of the services they offered. I got a pedicure and it was very relaxing. It included a massage, hot towel, hot stones, and paraffin wax on my heels. Ann did my pedicure and manicure. She was so nice and did a wonderful job! All of the other staff were very friendly as well, I definitely will be back!

BEST nail salon ever!!! They go the extra mile for so cheap! They are extremely nice as well and do an excellent job! It is the best place to get a mani or pedi by far! Don’t go anywhere else!!!

Probably won’t come back. Pedicure was nice because it included a hot stone massage and paraffin wax but $ 25 for a fill in seemed crazy so I had high expectations. The nail polish job was awful because there were air bubbles that popped plus the next day one of my nails fell off and the rest of my nails are lifting already! I could pay less somewhere else and get a better fill. However the employees there are nice and friendly but that does not cover the nail job that I paid $ 50 for plus tip.

I will most likely not return to this salon. My no-chip manicure started chipping less than 24hrs after my appointment(this was a 1st for me). My pedicure looks great however, if you are looking to relax this is not the place for you. I had one person start my pedicure and another lady finished. It was a little strange. You are rushed through your services and for the price you pay… i feel like they should take a little more time with you. I will say the salon is clean and the ladies are very sweet. I just have been to much better salons.

Went there for the first time over the weekend. They take walk-ins. They were really nice. They give you a hot stone massage and paraffin wax on your heels with the«standard» pedicure. They also put your hands in these little lotion gloves while they give you your manicure. They have a cash back rewards program. As I understand it 5% of whatever you spend gets banked and when you have enough rewards you can use them towards a service. I will be back. :)

I won’t go anywhere else in palatine to get my nails done. It is clean and the staff is nice and so welcoming. There is free coffee and tea, and always a movie playing(no weird news/talk shows). The no chip manicures last at least two weeks, and don’t peel. Their pedicures include extras such as paraffin wax on the heels and hot stones. My feet always look great after their pedicures which last at least two weeks on my toes. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for manicures and pedicures ! Clean, decent prices, good work, and pleasant/organized staff.

I was looking forward to get a no chip manicure based on the reviews. I’ve tried pretty much every nail salon around this area(I’m a no chip fan) and there’s nothing special about Smile Nails. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was really nice and polite, the place was clean and well kept, but the manicure was just meh… very basic. I also don’t think their prices are cheap, they are about the same or higher than other nail salons in the area. I paid $ 40 + tip for a french no chip. An hour after getting my no chip I was trying clothes at the mall and noticed that two of my nails were already chipping. This has NEVER happened to me before, I went back the same day and they fixed. But now I’m really skeptical about how much this manicure is going to last based on that. Bottom line this will be my first and last visit to Smile Nails.

Very relaxing and awesome service will definitely come back again. It’s my first time here. Free chair massage and back and neck massage with pedicure. No complaints, can’t get better than that. Place is clean and peaceful as well. I plan to recommend to friends as well.

Such a nice place to get your nails done and the location is good too. The strip mall is mostly occupied and has a big parking lot. It seems like they now have a new owner and it feels like they’ve upgraded a lot of things. Better than before!(And the free wifi works!!!) Ppl are so friendly and skilled. Seems like they are trying as best as they can to please all the costumers:) good service! Love it! Love it! And love it!

I have been going to Smile Nails for a few months now. The pedicure here is amazing… you don’t have to look at a menu for extras they are included! So, you get a sweet stone massage and amazing parafin treatment for your heels. The no-chip manicures are also stellar! As you get your manicure, they have a moisturizing treatment they apply to your hands, which is great for Chicago winters. The women are all very nice and try to establish rapport with the customer versus talking to each other in their native tongue. Great selection of colors too!

I loved this place, the best nail salon I’ve ever been to without paying a arm and leg. The pedicure was amazing, the things they included was the perfect touch to keep clients coming back. It’s something I’ve always said I would do if I ever owned a nail salon. And trust Me, i work in the beauty industry, it’s hard when there 5 salon on your block alone. But they are so friendly, I had Kay and Ellen, they were nice and sweet, and did a amazing job. They give you a Lavender heated pad, help relax your shoulders, that was amazing and it smelled so good. They really make you feel relax. My husband came with me, and they had the most comfy couch he ever sat on, they offer us tea or coffee, water. I feel that they really take pride in there work. Thank you guys

LOCATION A strip mall that is only half-occupied… surprisingly close… next to a Thai place that I tried once and didn’t like… Oops back to the review. SALON The ambiance and layout are not the greatest. Not sure how long this place has been around but going by the printout signs taped to the wall… it seems like they may have just moved in… feels like new business with low start up capital. The free WiFi didn’t seem to be working… Upside… they try REALLY hard to get and keep your business. PEDICURE The extras for this pedicure are nice… but I winced a couple times when she was clipping… and I get the sense that the person I had wasn’t that skilled… my ingrown or something is sore on one toe. Soak and massage are standard… but the hot stone massage and parrafin wax for the heels… was nice. Toes seem to look good… but smudged on the way to the manicure station or something. She should have cuffed my pants I think. When I wanted to leave no one finished prep for me… guessing because I hadn’t added the CASH only tip when she collected the service payment… I was waiting to do that when I was leaving… had to do it myself… deduct one star… even though I gave normal $ 15($ 10+ pedis, $ 5 for mani’s) tip… not coming back. MANICURE It was good… or looked good. No ouchies with the cuticles… but one finger chipped a couple hours later. Minus another star. SUMMARY A heating pad for my shoulders was nice but ask for my jacket first or wait til I take it off… There’s a frequent customer program that seems a little complicated. 5% credit to accumulate for free services later. Not sure about that one… punch cards work fine… like every 11th free or whatever. I think they just want your mailing info. Service extras and knowing your name are nice… but it’s all about the cake… not frosting… for me.

My favorite in the area for the price. Friendly staff. Comfortable massage chairs. They take their time, in a good way, and make sure I am happy with my manicure/pedicure experience. They mailed me a card for my birthday for a free manicure.

I’ve been going to Smile Nails for years and I’ve always been happy with my manicures and pedicures. I received a free manicure in the mail for my bday from them that I finally got to use. I walked in and I could barely recognize the place. It recently went under new ownership. It’s always been nice and clean, but they updated the place with new manicure and pedicure stations. Julie gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever had and I got a manicure from her that was equally as good. Everyone was so friendly and nice, it made for a nice relaxing hour.

The week before going on vacation is a process which involves a lot of spending… I stopped in this morning requesting a standard $ 12 manicure. As the Nail Technician and I started chatting about travel plans, she suggested I invest in the $ 30 No Chip Manicure. She assured me the nail polish can last up to 3 weeks. I had no idea there was such a thing! Basically, it requires special primer, nail polish, top coat and heat lamps. I’m a skeptic so if the nail polish chips before I leave on Saturday, I have time to stop in for complimentary repair.
