Grand Valley Marathon

I recently ran the Grand Valley Marathon in Grand Junction CO on May 10, 2014. The organization that ran this was lacking professionalism. At the half way turnaround point. the person manning the half way point table was chit-​chatting with in front and blocking the sign indicating that it was the half way point. I ran past the half way point by several hundred yards before I realized something was wrong. Ya think he might have looked up from his conversation to say something. Or maybe if he was hired to to just be a drone at the table that maybe there would be some better indication that it was the turnaround point instead a small sign on the ground behind the table. This company was so cheap that they didn’t provide lanyards for the finishing medals. They just handed out the plain medal. I am from out of town and I take this seriously. I don’t run much but this is my 5^th half marathon in 8 months. This is definitely the worst run half marathon I have participated in.
