Can’t fault the place. Ken is fantastic, friendly, funny, personable, down to earth and knows he’s got a good product.
We loved a few wines but went home with the 2012 cab sav. Plenty of snacks in the tables, fire place going in the open tasting room and no charge for tastings.
Will be back, no doubt.

Loved this vineyard. One of the best vineyards in the area. The wine is pricier than many other surrounding vineyards, but the tasting was more informative, and the wine is much better than most others in that area. The winemaker was very knowledgable and friendly.

What a great place. Stands out from the other wineries… You actually get to see HOW the wine is being made. ken and his staff are great!

It’s a real, working winery, with an outside tasting area. The owner/​winemaker was pouring the wine that day, which is a great touch, especially for an oenophile. Excellent, well-​aged wines. The attention to detail is evident in one of the better wineries I’ve been to.

My fiancé and I had a matchless experience at Hermosa Vineyards this weekend. Hermosa means «beautiful» in Spanish and this was nothing short of the truth. From the moment you walk up to the tucked-​away oasis you start to feel right at home.
These are the best wines that CO wine country has to offer. I love the variety of wines and the fact that you get to try different ages of the same variety — 07 Cab Sauv was my favorite and my fiancé loved the Viogner. Owner/​Winemaker Ken is a remarkable human being. He created the most personal experience for us and showed us around his wine-​making operation as he closed up shop. You could tell that Ken puts so much hard work and heart into his wine, and being a gracious host just comes naturally.
Can’t wait to enjoy our wine & we are already planning a trip from Denver back to Hermosa Vineyards.

Had an absolute blast at Hermosa over Labor Day weekend. Despite having grown up in Grand Junction, I had actually never been wine-​tasting in the area and wasn’t sure of where to go. This place is perfect and Ken is a great host. We will definitely go back :) All I can say is GO HERE.

Amazing! I love this place, beautiful scenery! Great people, the staff is more than accommodating! And… they have pita chips! I would give more than 5 stars of possible! A must do in Palisade!

Fantastic Syrah and a gracious host. A real winery to tour. The drive is relaxing and well worth the few minutes.

We read the reviews and thought this place would be amazing. After visiting, we could not disagree more with what everyone has said here. We felt like we were being rushed out of there, and as soon as we walked out of his garage after the extremely fast tasting, he closed his garage on us so he could go join a group of women who were there before us. We weren’t offered any service, we couldn’t even order a glass if we wanted. He made us feel like we were inconveniencing him by being there. Would not recommend or go back. Plenty of closer wineries to visit in the future who will get my business.

Our funnest winery with exceptional wine and a great host. My sister-​in-​law wanted cherries and everywhere we stopped they had either sold out or had bad spots on them. So as we were driving into the winery she asked my husband to pick her a few. He picked 3 cherries and she ate them.
The tasting room here is outdoors and Ken encourages you to taste all of his wines. They are great. So while we are happily tasting Ken is giving us a history of the winery and wines. We are all having a great time. Then he comments on how they just sprayed the cherries and it takes a couple of weeks before you won’t get sick. The look on my sister-in-law’s face was priceless and I had to hold back the tears. Of course he was just kidding. He said if you purchase $ 200 of wine it would cure it. She still wasn’t sure he was kidding. Thanks Ken for a great laugh! Sorry about stealing the 3 cherries but we did purchase wine. :)
The Syrah was exceptional and our group favorite. But they all tasted great. Ken only sells his wines at the winery.
Afterwards he invited to take in the view from his deck and we met his daughter. Great view, great family, great winery!

Kenn’s hospitality, wine knowledge, and simply AMAZING wine keep bringing us back to Palisade. Every time we go we buy a case — and savor every drop of it. His reds are especially amazing. New this year (summer ’15) is the Cherry Port — wow is this stuff good!

Ken was very knowledgeable and just plain fun to be around. We had little knowledge of wine tasting and he was eager to teach us. We picked up a bottle of the dessert wine. This is was our favorite vineyard in Grand Junction area.

Exquisite wine selection located in a beautiful, quiet country scenary served by Ken, the winemaker and perfect host. His hospitality and charm compliments the wine to make the perfect wine tasting experience. This is my new go to spot when I want to get away from Denver and just relax!

When I go wine tasting, my favorite places have good wine, good people, or both. Hermosa Vineyards has BOTH, making it a standout among the many western Colorado wineries. Ken (owner) loves making wine and he is a true craftsman. Every wine he makes is great, but the Cabernet Franc is my top pick.
If you are visiting the area for wine (and you should!), stoping at Hermosa Vineyards is a must. For those of you that live in Colorado, but have yet to visit the wineries in Grand Junction/​Palisade (including Hermosa Vineyards) you are missing out on an amazing local experience.

Really loved our whole experience here. Ken was so warm and welcoming and his wines were phenomenal! He had a cab franc that we bought two bottles of but if we could we would’ve bought an entire case for sure! Such a smooth, full bodied juice. Ken treated us like we were guests in his home. Highly recommend this winery and wine!

This place is amazing! Ken really knows how to make some amazing juice! The cab Fronc was unreal! I have never liked cab Fronc until now.
There is a reason this winery has 5 stars. Make sure you stop in!

Hands down the best winery we visited while in Palisade. We drove in from Estes Park (where we live), never having been to the Palisade before. Suzanna spent a lot of time on the internet planning out the different wineries that we would visit. What a treat to meet Ken.
This is definitely not a «big box» winery. It’s small, inviting and intimate. Just the way we like it. We made friends with Ken instantly and even came back later in the day just to hang out. It’s hard to pick a favorite wine as they are all so good. The Syrah was probably our favorite.
We’ve spent a lot of time in Wine country both in Virginia and California. Hermosa Vineyards exceeded our expectations of Colorado western slope wines. Thank you Ken and we’ll definitely be back!
