Large selection and friendly service. They will have all the usual items. However, if you’re looking to stock up on your Macallan 18 (or other top end high price point items) you may have to look elsewhere.

Best booze in the area. Nice selection of California, French and Spanish. A wall of refrigerated beer as well as multiple varieties of soju. Best prices in the area and always something on sale.

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY
Stopped by real quick just to buy beer with dinner from a restaurant across the street. Even though I don’t really know about different types of liquor products, I could tell they stock numerous products because I found 2 different kinds of beers from Czech Republic that I had been looking for since I came back from study abroad in Europe.

Update: after contacting A&P customer service line and describing the situation, I was told by the rep that this is indeed corporate policy of A&P to not accept returns and exchanges of liquor products, but nevertheless was promised that regional beverage manager would get in touch with me. The next day I received a call from a very respectful gentleman, who told me that there is no such policy in A&P, and if the product was bad, it might be returned. He also told me that he already contacted the store in question and I can stop by for refund or exchange anytime.
Don’t hesitate to fight for your customer rights!

Cliffside Park, NJ
Love this liquor store! It’s the only one I’ll go to in the area, even if it means going out of my way. The price is cheap or just what it should be, but the selection is what keeps me coming back. If you’re into booze like I am you’ll find yourself staring at all the beer for twenty minutes trying to decide what to get. They don’t have quite as large a selection as Total Wine, but it’s definitely worth going to over a corner liquor store. Wine and whiskey selection is good too.
Also, stop in on a Friday night and you’re likely to get a free shot of something they’re sampling at the door.

The best place around for libations. The selection is great, the prices are always fair and the staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. I go out of my way to shop here.

OK, so this is my personal favorite. It’s close to my house (which might make me biased), it’s rather inexpensive (although not the cheapest place I’ve ever been to), and the staff rocks (seriously cool folks). Good wine, beer and spirits selection, lots of parking and for you city travelers, about 5 minutes from the GWB.
Stop in and compare to your favorite spot and correct me if I’m wrong. I just hope I don’t end up standing in line too long :)

I’m surprised no one has said anything about them before. Their prices are pretty good, I’ve found the best prices here for numerous wines that I haven’t found elsewhere, and the staff here are very friendly.
