Gateaux Bakery

This place isn’t anything too special. Their green tea bubble tea tastes very artificial (one of the worst in Palisades Park), and their coffees are very run down. Prices are average. There’s hardly a bread selection around 7pm; it may be better in the morning. The only reasons I give it three stars are because it’s a good place to study with free wi-​fi and the staff is friendly.

Good foods and teas. Need to improve coffee quality. Cakes are awesome.

i wandered in here after dinner one night in pal park with my parents because they have bubble tea. after walking for 10 minutes saying i wanted pat bing soo, i ended up here, lured by their beautiful posters of cups of bubble tea.
bad idea.
they did use real coffee, but please, was it necessary to use that much simple syrup? i thought my teeth were eroding and i was getting cavities on the spot as i drank it. i fished out as many tapioca balls as i could and tried not to drink anything, but the damage was done. my stomach hurt from so much sugar. at least i didn’t get a cavity.
otherwise it’s a pretty cute place and very clean. but there’s a bunch of these places, so i’m sure they’re mostly the same.
