Keumsan Samgyetang

Only place with a decent Samgyetang (Rice Stuffed Chicken in Broth) around the area, hence the name, but when i called for take out the person who was taking the order was not only rude, but took forever for someone to actually pick up the phone. If you want better service they like it if you eat there, because that means the servers get tip in which they barely get any from take-​out.

Best korean soup ever in this area. I lived in Korea for few years and fell in love with Kimchi soup. could not find a good Kimchi soup in several places in NJ. I finally found this place few years ago and super happy about it! Good food, OK service. Their Kimchi soup is not on the menu anymore but still can order it if you ask for it.

I am not sure what their positioning is and the value that they add to the all other Korean restaurants in the area… but their food is a OK. not the greatest but just very mediocre… Only thing good about the place is that it is near by King Sauna and not very crowded…
The dishes that I got are not what they are known for but they were ok…

I like this place more than other K-​restaurants in Palisades because liquor shop is right next to this. Food is soso, and kinda pricey.
I can tell thet they put lots of MSG which makes me sleepy right after eating. However, this is good place to drink! and super easy to park a car. you don’t need to pay stupid vallet parking fee!

I was super excited to return because the chungukjang I had my first visit was amazing. Sadly, this time I ordered a normal bibimbap, and there were three issues with this.
1) When I tried to order for my bf and myself, the server kept trying to convince me to get things about twice the price of the things we originally wanted. She wasn’t even being subtle about it.
2) When the bibimbap arrived, I tasted each banchan before mixing it all together, as is my custom, and the bean sprouts gave off a rotten smell. Just to make sure, I chewed some, and sure enough, it was rotten. I told the server to take it away and make a new one without the sprouts.
3) She just brought the whole thing back, with the egg on a different plate. Her opinion was that the hot egg was making it taste rotten. How ridiculous! Anyone could tell the bean sprouts were inedible.
Such ridiculous behavior I have never had to deal with in all of my years going to a Korean restaurant in New Jersey.
If they think they can get away with this because we’re young, they are sorely mistaken. We represent the new generation of customers, and they will never see my face or my friends’ faces ever again.
