Community Family Players is a non-profit enterprise which is a live theatre enterprise. This summer they are performing ROMEOANDJULIET. in 2011 they performed MUCHADOABOUTNOTHING, in 2010, they performed MIDSUMMERNIGHT’S DREAM, in 2009, they performed ALICE, an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. The performances are both innovative and entertaining. Here’s why! Last year’s MUCHADOABOUTNOTHING was based on a wild western theme with cowboys and the 19th century feel of the showdown at the OK Corral. And that’s still Shakespeare, with gender-bender acting-up with girls playing the men’s parts with mustaches and such. MIDSUMMERNIGHT ‘S DREAM was set in the environment of a special 1960s hippie epoch. ALICE was just pure fun, with all of Lewis Carol’s characters coming to life. This year’s performance of ROMEOANDJULIET will be a surprise because it is Wm. Shakespeare’s play set in a contemporary Florida seaside boardwalk environment. Now you gotta see this!
