I thought I bought a Groupon for DeAngelos’s by the Sea, which we had been to before, but accidentally bought it for DeAngelo’s by the Bay. And DeAngelo’s by the Sea would not accept it, although they are owned by the same person. So we went with 4 friends to DeAngelo’s by the Bay. First, the previous reviewer who indicated that she could not find it is 100% correct. It is in the Publix shopping center and it sits off to the left of the Publix but with no real signage. It sits back in an «alcove» area. The place was empty. We had 6 total, another couple came in, and then 2 people came in and sat at the bar. Our waitress/server was, in a word, nasty. She was not friendly, she was not happy, she was not helpful, she was slow, she was rude, and when we left her a tip she deserved, she got angry. For her demeanor/attitude alone, we will never go back. None of us. So they lost 6 possible customers. The food was just«okay.» Keeping in mind I am an Italian from the northeast, I know Italian food. And this was just«menza menza.» I would not go back for the food. I got the Chicken parm and pasta. The pasta was over cooked, the gravy barely covered the pasta, was a little watery, and lacked flavor. The chicken Parmesan had the same bland gravy but did have a descent amount of cheese and was an okay portion. The one good thing? The chef came out and spoke to us and he welcomed us when we arrived. Seems nice enough and advised they were cutting the restaurant in half and making a club on one side and keeping the restaurant on the other. Advice: Do not waste your time. And shame on DeAngelo’s for not accepting the Groupon’s at both DeAngelo’s and Jake’s, on A1A in the Publix shopping center.

Excellent food. What is more important than that. Looks very clear. Looking forward to when they have the pizza oven repaired. The only con I find is the distance from the parking lot to the restaurant but really worth it. I love the eggplant parmigiano. I can taste it now!

Came to have dinner(6 January) at 4pm. The doors were locked so we waited around and finally at 4:20 I called to verify the hours of operation. The woman who answered the phone stated the normal opening time was in fact 4pm but today they were having ‘issues’. I had to ask what time they’d be opening, if at all because she wasn’t offering additional information, and was told possibly around 5pm. I don’t understand why they didn’t post a sign on the door explaining why they weren’t open as soon as they realized they wouldn’t be opening at 4:00. That is definitely not good customer service and we won’t be back(we are new to the area and had never been there before.)

Best Italian food to be had in the county. Very nicely decorated. My husband loved his veal parmesan and my chicken marsala was perfect in every way. Usually I take home half of my meal but I kept eating because it was so delicious. The other couple with us raved about their entrees also. We agreed it was our new favorite restaurant and will be steady customers. Only problem was that it was not lit up enough on the outside and could be missed.

Decided to give them a try… and I must say we were pretty darn impressed! Pros; shrimp scampi, was delish. Stuffed mushrooms were good but needed to be a little bit hotter, stuffed clams, not my cup of tea, eggplant rollitini(spk idk, lol), good but again could have been hotter. Lasagna was spot on and had a ton of cheese. Cons; business could make a killing of they had better marketing. The restaurant looks closed from the parking and not signage with lights. My dish the rigatoni Napolitano was good but too much olive oil. Which I totally blame myself as it was listed in the description as being the base of the dish. Overall great customer service, meals were cooked to order, easy going atmosphere and… I’ll be back!
