In response to the response by Crunch: let’s stay with the facts: Here are the fact, for which each can be substantiated with written proof 1. On the 29th of August I inquired at the front desk what steps I’d need to take to cancel my membership. One of the long time employees told me I could do this there in person, which I then requested. She said however I had to pay another annual fee first. This is incorrect as my payments were up to date on that day, no payments were due. Nevertheless, she did not accept my cancellation request.(this is shown in the logs at the gym and confirmed via email)(cancellation 1) 2. That same day, 29th, I requested cancellation in writing and received a confirmation of receipt. My account was still in good standing and I owed nothing on that day.(email proof of receipt available)(cancellation 2) 3. August 30th: Another written attempt to cancel my membership: proof is available(cancellation 3) 4. Tuesday September 1: Another written attempt to cancel my membership: proof is available(cancellation 4) 5. September 7th: The gym finally responded to a registered letter for which they had to sign to receive(all at my expense) still, no cancellation accepted. I had to pay another $ 10.55 because now another month was due. Obviously now due, as the gym had not accepted my cancellation for more than 10 days. So, they simply delayed accepting my cancellation until the next amount was due. SO, they would not accept my cancellation until I paid for the next year and month. If I did not pay, they would keep billing me, so I had not choice, they blackmailed me into paying. SO I did, so that I could get rid of these awful outfit. SO, at my expense, I had to send a registered letter with a check. They finally emailed me a conformation of cancellation.(cancellation 5) So, they just delayed accepting my cancellation until they could bill me more. I know paid for a year and a month which I will never use. It cost me close to $ 100 dollars just to get rid of Crunch Gym, not counting the hours of work. So, a strong piece of advice, don’t sign up with Crunch Gym, unless you want to pay for the rest of your life. Their response talked about me stealing equipment during a class. Yes, really. A nice way to try to deviate the discussion with a lie, obviously. But, it does remind me to post the police report on my iPhone 6 being stolen at this very gym, facts with proof.

So i joined about a month ago and so far feeling great. My son and I joined… More so motivation for me. The equipment is easy to use and lots of them so no waiting. Gym is clean and doesn’t smell like a dirty locker room. As i have experienced with other gyms. The membership is definitely affordable for what i need. They offer classes as well. I have taken a few and all great. I did go for personal training coaching was a free session but basically wasn’t for me and a bit pricey for me. I’m a self starter so i have no issue getting started. I come in with a plan if I’m not taking a class. So far so good. I feel great and sleeping better!

Great staff, very nice GYM, clean, not too crowded, new equipment and location is perfect. The music is not too loud. I always look forward to going there for my daily work out.

Great gym!!! Gary is «awesome», he’s a great personal trainer and I highly recommended him. I’m a pilates trainer and was looking for some motivation after a long day of work. He not only motivated me but taught me things I’ve never done, while making sure my form and posture were right on. Anyone looking for a trainer should ask for him!!!

There are a few things I really like about this place. First, it’s about as inexpensive as planet fitness or youfit, without BEING planet fitness or youfit. There are no loud colors, no bizarre weight limits, none of that nonsense. Second, the staff are really friendly, both the front desk staff and trainers. They are willing to work with you but they know when to leave you alone, no constant interruptions or anything like that. The only thing I can’t speak for are the classes, since I don’t go here for that. Parking can suck sometimes, since it’s a fairly small parking lot and right after work hrs you see people driving around in circles trying to get a space, some people making up their own parking spaces on the side of other, you know, actual ones. I don’t question it though because they’re probably really important. Not the gym’s fault

This morning at Crunch fitness really irked me. My mom and her friend are visiting me from out of town and I brought them to the gym with me at 7 this morning. The gym was almost empty(as usual). I have the peak membership so I can bring a guest for free, and had a 1 day guest pass for my moms friend. Apparently you can’t use a guest pass at this gym unless you have a local ID. Not even a Florida ID, just local. This really annoyed me because why give out guest passes if you can’t even use them? Annoyed, I paid $ 15 for the additional guest which seemed like robbery. I have been to much nicer gyms and have only paid $ 10 for a guest. Thank goodness I had cash on me, or we would have been turned away at the door. Super disappointed in this lack of customer service.

This a great gym with great potential! Brand new equipment, overall friendly staff, clean locker rooms, great prices… everything you’d expect from a gym. I have lost hope in people though. No matter what gym I attend… no matter what time of day I go… there will always be an A-hole, douchebag, disgusting narcissistic son of a gun who won’t wear deodorant, won’t clean up, will hog equipment, won’t re-rack weights!!! OMG! It drives me insane!!! Not to mention muscle heads who grunt and Justin Biebers on steroids who go to the gym to hang out and flex in front of the mirrors *eyes roll* I give up! LoL

I recently joined this gym and personally I think it’s the best value of any gym in the area. At $ 20 a month for peak membership you simply can’t beat it for what this gym offers. The machines are fantastic with a simple click weight system instead of using your standard pull pin. I love the Hoist machines! They are so unique in the way they use your body to create both negative and positive resistance. All new equipment with all the free weights rubber coated to reduce noise in the strength training area. They have classes in pilates, yoga, strentgh training, cardio, ab training and much more. They even have a full Crossfit section and classes. Crossfit membership alone at a Crossfit gym would run you $ 60 or more a month! Crunch has all the benefits of a Planet Fitness memebership including tanning but it’s way better then Planet Fitness and you won’t set off any lunk alarms. Which should no longer even be used there since Planet Fitness removed freeweights in their gyms(horrible move)! All in all I highly recommend you pay this gym a visit. The start up cost is still very low around $ 40. You simply won’t find a better value in the area for gym that offers as much as Crunch Fitness.

I’m a new member and overall I really like the place. I’m familiar with Crunch from when I lived in Atlanta, GA. I love the concept they have where if you don’t use the aerobics classes you don’t have to pay for them, the 2 levels of memberships was a great idea. The price is right and I’m so happy I cancelled at YouFit. I love the free weight area and also that it’s not super crowded. Locker room and shower area is clean and well maintained. The only beef I have is one that is ongoing at every gym I’ve been a member of for over 20 years, and that’s people not re-racking the weights after use, it’s not just a FL things, it’s a TN, GA, VA, CA, AZ, and the list goes on thing… — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — November 2015 — I wish the gym was still like it was when I wrote this review last year. The place has sadly gone downhill. Cleanliness being the number #1 issue I have, and lack of management attention or follow up to complaints about it. In fact, I know another member who is cancelling because she swears she got sick from the dirty equipment. The current cleaning crew(if you want to call them that) hang out in the utility closet or handicapped bathroom stall yapping on cell phones and the place is gross and dirty, the showers remain filthy. I have notified management 3 times, yet this continues. Excuses are made, problem remains. I wish this was still a gym I could be proud of, like it was. I’m shopping around. I could go on about other issues, but what’s the point, management doesn’t care anyways. 12÷1÷15 Cancelled membership.
