So we came first time ever, and it was amazing. First the place looks awesome, great décor dim lights and a vibrant bar scene, with patrons having a drink and enjoying the music. The service was impeccable and i was surprised to see the prices were very fair both on the food and wine menu side. The drink selection and specialty drinks were awesome. I had an oyster shot very interesting and yummy. Then we had wine, Italian Montipocello, very good, the Summalier suggested it. He also came and poured our wine a nice touch. Now the food, steaks were awesome I mean the best I have had in a while, perfectly cooked and the sides were nuts, good asparagus and these crazy tater tots, i mean crazy good. My wife had the Picana top sirloin it was so good wow. Those steak sauces were so good i was happy trust me. And they have like six to choose from. Desserts crazy and after dinner drinks of course. What a place a true gem with perfect food and ambience.

A bit full of itself, but food is good. Service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Cranky, non-attentive staff.

Wow, this is my second time that I have visited this restaurant and I can not say enough good things about the service I received. The hostess and bartender were friendly and the New York steak served Odell Beckham style was delicious. This is the nicest place in Palm Beach that I have found and I can’t say enough good things about the staff and this restaurant. I really enjoyed hanging out there and I really like how I was treated when I went there.

Was looking forward to trying this place — the web site looked sophisticated and menu quite interesting… But, was treated exceedingly poorly at the bar. 3 young women bartenders with a half empty bar and lots of attitude… We couldn’t get a drink! And weren’t alone in this — the 3 people next to us had been there for some time and were also being ignored. We were all seen, just not serviced. Note to staff: — graciousness and work ethic count in the competitive world of restaurants. One of the gentlemen next to me called over to ‘the girls’ numerous times, only to be nodded to and ignored, again. Finally after 10 minutes a waitress appeared behind us and took orders. When the drinks finally came they were as poor as the service –My drink came half full & the woman next to me said it was the weakest drink she had ever ordered… There seemed to be no manager in sight, which was obvious by the TV program choice: Blood Sport Fighting! Just lovely… When 20 somethings who have probably never had a fine dining experience are put in charge, it doesn’t bode well. We finally just paid up and went to one of our regular choices– so sad!

Swanky atmosphere. Nice spice up to the regular Florida night life. Had a great night with the best galfriend. We had dirty martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives, Kobe beef carpaccio, tuna tataki, the wedge salad and more delicacies! Must go :)

After going here this past Thursday night I can see why they have 3 stars. And after last night having dinner with my wife and our friend who is involved in a restaurant group that has opened over 10 restaurants from ft lauderdale to Miami, and telling her our experience, I was compelled to write this review. My wife and I had reservations this past Thursday at 10 and were seated immediately. We started with drinks and appetizers. My wife had some pear concoction that was amazing. We ordered the tuna tartare and some shrimp appetizer. The tuna was above average and the shrimp was out of this world. Off to a great start… or so we thought. For entrees I ordered the bone in ribeye medium rare, and the wife ordered the full filet medium. We also ordered the truffle mash, brussel sprouts and the mushroom trio. Our food arrived not long after they cleared the appetizers and as we cut into our steaks. My steak was cooked throughout and my wife’s was bloody rare. I knew right away that our temps were switched. At the finer steakhouses, the waiter usually stands near by to make sure they are cooked to the requested temp. This was not the case so my wife and I started picking at the sides.(The brussels and mash were amazing, mushrooms nothing to write home about) When the waiter finally came around I had mentioned to him that I believe somewhere along the line our cook temp were switched. He agreed right away with my wife’s filet and got the maitre d. Before taking our steaks back, the maitre d asked me to cut open my steak, as if to prove to him it was medium. I found this tacky. After proving to the panel of judges and my peers that my ribeye was medium they took both our steaks back… along with all of our sides. 25 – 30 minutes later everything came out again. By this time we were both not very hungry as it was 12:15. After a few bites I had them box everything up, which ended up getting thrown into the garbage 2 days later. I couldn’t stand the sight of it in my fridge as it was a mere reminder of the whole fiasco. They comped 2 whole drinks, but I wouldn’t have even noticed unless the waiter pointed it out, as our bill before tip was $ 250. The two drinks that were comped we unnecessarily ordered and didn’t even drink. We were just so bored in between round one and two of the entrees coming out. Those of you who have stuck with me on my play by play of the night are in for a treat. The coup de grace of the whole night came at the valet… My wife and I get in my car and I look over to her and she looks at me… at the exact same we ask one another if they farted. The valet guy left us a stinky truffle for the ride home. My car didn’t air out until I was at Brazilian! Needless to say, I will never come back and keep my weekly business on the Island at Buccan. The food is much better, my bill is usually ½ the price of this night, the atmosphere is more genuine Palm Beach and valet doesn’t leave any surprises!

We decided to come back again for dinner on a Saturday night. Last time we were here in January right in the prime season. Now it’s out of season and not as crazy on Palm Beach. What a difference in the«scene» that I spoke about in my previous review. We had a 7:45 reservation and unlike last visit, we got sat immediately. Service was really on point. We started off with a couple cocktails then appetizers. We shared the MM Caesar Salad and the Octopus Carpaccio. Both were delicious! The Octopus was so tender and its garnished with some capers, watermelon, and arugula. Really good dishes. For our entrees I decided to try the MM Steak which is the 16oz Picanha with a habanero chimichurri. The steak was perfectly cooked, although the chimichurri didn’t work for me, but I didn’t care because it was on the side. Lola went with the Seabass again and it was perfect… again. We added the grilled asparagus on the side to round everything off. Anyway, this time everything really worked. If you’re a local and don’t want to deal with the craziness now is the time to go. Wasn’t crazy loud like last time, but still happening. Also if you go a bit earlier too that helps. We will definitely be back again… before season starts back up. Enjoy!

Why on Earth this place has a 3 star review before this one is beyond me?! From the moment I walked in the door, I was impressed! First, the staff-really, at least the front of house-is gorgeous! I mean, model-material and the look like the came right off the runway at New York Fashion week! Right off, a visual feast! And by front of house, I include hostesses, bussers, servers, wine gurus and managers! All real lookers! Couldn’t see the back of house, but I have no doubt this restaurant is first-class all around. The menu was fantastic, full of variety from charcuterie platters, salads, a raw bar, fine cuts of meat, fresh ceviche, and truffle based & assorted sauces, to sides of lobster mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries with honey crème fraîche-the choices are significant! The chef sends a ‘gift’ to the table and tonight’s was wasabi peas and a smoke-flavored spiced corn. As a now Paleo eater, finding Bison on the menu deserves an applause. I noticed another diner enjoying a pink salmon filet that caught my eye because of the delectable presentation. The décor is beautifully lit and a simple display of gold metallic, shimmer-y accents of tile; candles casting off a soft glow and an elegant bar displaying beautiful bottles of wine. Our waiter was Todd, who was incredibly attentive and an overall elegant man, who took great care in making our first time dining in this establishment a very wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this to others as it was recommended to me from my realtor at Illustrated Properties. We look forward to dining here many times in the future as Palm Beach becomes our second home!

Great food! Noisy — for some that’s a «lively atmosphere»; for me, it means I have trouble conversing with all at my table. Name of the place = «truth in advertising» in regards to its bar scene; which is replicated in many cities nationwide at steakhouses but without the establishment’s name providing the billboard for such. .. i.e., apparently, the same lounge lizards of the disco era are merely aged ~40 years and hanging out in the bars of fine steakhouses nationwide where, similarly, a bevy of lovelies vie for their affection. .. or at least a shot at their portfolios.

So I’m a bit torn on this one. On one hand I really enjoyed the food, it’s amazing. Our party of four had two prime strips, a filet, and one Sea Bass dish. Everything was cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. I always order steak at a steakhouse but I have to say the Sea Bass is outstanding. Our two sides, truffled mash and tater tots, were both really good as well. Also the service was very attentive and prompt. I also recommend trying the different sauces for the steaks. So now for the other hand. It’s über uppity. The name of the restaurant really is a double entendres. I mean I love Palm Beach and most of its restaurants(especially PB Grill) but this place takes the cake. It’s almost like pretentious is on the menu. We had a 9:00 reservation, but after a few checks with the hostess finally got sat at almost 10:00. Drinks at the bar while we waited were equally challenging amongst the beautiful people saddled up to it, but once they arrived were delicious. I guess you have to just take it all in stride and laugh at the whole scene going on in there. So just take it as a heads up what you’re in for. I would probably go to Okeechobee Steakhouse for a similar meal, slightly more reasonable, and with a whole lot less attitude before I go back. However if you love the side show then by all means go to MM. Enjoy!

Ok… So I travel between California, Dallas, Chicago, Florida, and New York… I live in Michigan and have been all over the place. Meat Market is a 10! The only 10 I have ever given to any restaurant in my 35 years on this planet. From ambiance, food(every course), service, plating, and of course selection… It’s a 10 across the board!!! Consider this, I have been to every top 10 steakhouse and Meat Market blows them away. Go for for the tuna tartare, shrimp, ceasar, brussel sprouts, and long bone rib eye!!! PS… Coffee is a 10 too Enjoy

The ambience at the restaurant is very nice. Nice bar, nice lighting but there remains alot to be seen. mainly with the medicore-decent food. Upon first entering the steakhouse, we were greeted with a very loud bar near the entrance which i didnt mind, but it made it difficult to communicate with the hostess it was that loud. Not your traditional quiet steakhouse if thats what you are looking for. But i will say, the food is just decent. This place would never survive in a foodie city like NYC or Atlanta, where i traditionally enjoy USDA prime cuts on the regular. I couldnt even eat my house salad because the dressing had a very salty taste to it(not the goat cheese). I also ordered a Makers Mark and ginger ale which im near positive was bottom shelf cheap whiskey(illegal service) as id been drinking Maker’s earlier that day. The Seabass i ordered was alright. it didnt seem the freshest, especially for florida seafood and not worth the price. I was disappointed in comparison to a seabass i had earlier that week that was literally«melt in your mouth» and not as chewy. The steak my friend ordered was pretty dry for a «special» on the bone new york strip. This was quite disappointing, lacking any sort for marble flavoring or natural juices. The Japanese Kobe beef goes for 21/ounce at Chops steakhouse in Atlanta. It is only $ 9/oz at meat market forcing me to question the legitimacy of the beef quality. I just dont think they use USDA prime cuts.(i wasnt looking for the certification on the menu(i just assumed prime)). In addition, the sides were decent. the mac and cheese was good. «truffle» mashed potatoes almost tasted like instant potatoes. Asparagus was good as was the creamed spinach. But its hard to mess those up. Overall i will not return solely because the food quality was not there. My hometown steakhouses(Bones, Chops, Rathbuns, McKendricks) are leagues above this place and dining here was a let down. Great Service though.

Great experience. Definitely one of the best places in south Florida to eat. Everything on the menu is amazing. We went for our anniversary. They definitely made us feel special. We had about 4 people checking up on us. We ordered the Grilled Octopus. It was prepared to perfection, and you will be surprised by a delicious ingredient. My wife had the short rib with lobster risotto. She loved it. I tasted it and loved it too. I ordered the 3 cut sampler. The meat was so tender it would melt in my mouth. Mandarin cheesecake for dessert. Perfection. I would return as many times as I can. Great place and great service.

Service and food were fair/mediocre. My server was unfamiliar with the specials and details of various cuts of meat. My wife and I each ordered a glass of wine which were reversed when they served them to us. Tuna tartar appetizer and Chopped salad were very good. Bread was also tasty and warm. For dinner I ordered the MeatMarket steak medium rare. The meat was essentially tasteless and 1⁄3 of the cut was well done while the other end was medium rare. My wife ordered the filet rare, and this cut although cooked properly was grainy, dry and tasteless. For sides, the creamed spinach was quite good but the truffle mashed potatoes were DRY. i will not eat here again, and first timers looking for a steak fix are better off hitting Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s, where although the ambiance is somewhat stale, the quality of food and service are reliable. Bummer

Meat Market has it all ! Amazing food ! Good Service and great atmosphere. I love coming here on Thursday night! around 9PM. I am a foody and this is my retreat. Some of my favorite dishes are the Cauliflower, Asparagus, and for main course the skirt stake, the Tuna Tartare, and the Sea Bass. All super fresh and of high quality. Clean and tasty ingredients. The presentation is done very well. This is a nice and cozy restaurant, with a great atmosphere. Dark but not to dark. With a large dining area and a lounge area for cocktails. Be sure to stop by! When in the area. It is miss or hit and this is certainly a HIT !

Ok, update on Meat Market Birthday dinner, it was an off night for me! I started with the mango wedge salad and for dinner had the 30 oz Waygu Rib Eye, with broccolini and tater tots. The mango wedge was mediocre and the ribeye was amazing! The tater tots were inedible, waiter and mgr agreed, we gave that back! the service started off great but dwindled for a a brief period as the two servers seemed to have forgotten then remembered me! I started to not feel well and left. Got home in the nick of time, i spent the rest of the evening violently ill. I just called the restaurant and spoke to Oliver, the manager, to alert him of my experience last night and he told me we can rule out food poisoning as that takes 24 to 48 hours to take place, so basically, i did not experience projectile vomiting and diarrhea for 6 hours from any contaminated foods from his establishment but if I plan on returning to dine, ask for Oliver and he was sorry I was sick … i am shocked at the reply I got, i told him to please look into the Russian dressing, truffle butter and bread accompaniment for contamination or spoilage from excessive heat. wahhhh so sad For Oliver: please review food establishment information on food poisoning… Incubation period can start hour to days, dependent on cause, type and amount if food ingested, please check with local board of health. P. S. Oliver, My family owns a number of restaurants in NY and we would never tell a customer she is a liar.

If it wasn’t for the half off on Signature Steaks on Sundays, I would not need to dine here again. We were unimpressed with the level of food that was served, especially being in Palm Beach. The décor was modern. Our hostess was friendly and accommodating. Our server tolerated our somewhat rowdy table. He was great! My starter cocktail was the Fresca Pepino, a refreshing cucumber based drink with a big block of ice floating in the center. That was the best part of my meal. The drink was delicious! Then I ordered my ribeye medium rare. They got the temperature right but they brought out the most misshapen cut I have ever seen. The cut had three«sections». I found this bizarre but it did have a nice size lip which is always a plus for me, that’s my favorite part. The meat and preparation was nothing special. For sides we had the tater tots, creamed spinach, brussel sprouts, truffle mash, and mac and cheese. The tater tots were huge with a crispy crust and mash-like consistency on the inside with a thick, spicy cheese sauce. Be careful as you dip. Half your tater can get caught because the sauce is that thick. The spinach was good and came with a sprinkle of bacon. The truffle mash was the best. Simple with a rich taste. Brussel sprouts were burnt beyond recognition. Mac and cheese had a crunchy burnt topping. The sides servings were small order 2 of your favorite otherwise you will run out quickly. Prices were reasonable, even at full price. Normal steakhouse pricing. There are many other steakhouses in the area that surpasses in quality and taste. Go there instead.

While the food was great, the overall experience was quite bad considering what we were expecting. The tables were extremely too close together. The table next to us had one guests’ chair touching our table for the entire meal. The woman at the neighboring table politely asked management if she could move tables so she would not be hovering over our meal. The manager had no alternative. We were left with the woman’s back touching our table for the remainder of our two and a half hour meal. We enjoyed our wine, a delicious appetizer and then placed our dinner order. The waiter let us know once we placed our order that it would take approximately 30 minutes to receive our meal. We were completely fine with this. The waiter came back to check in around the 45 minute mark to let us know we were 5 tickets behind. About 1 hour and 15 minutes later(and the wait staff consciously avoiding us) we finally received our food. Unacceptable in my opinion for a party of two. The manager stopped by to ask how things were. We let him know the food tasted great but the wait time to receive it was a bit excessive, especially for a restaurant of their status. Not seeming too apologetic, we then received a comp’d 11 dollar dessert for their ‘apologies’. Considering the price of our meal and the overall experience, I cannot say I’ll be back. The food at Palm Beach Grill is just as appetizing with quite a better dining experience.

All I can say is WoW!!! High end and sexy!!! The atmosphere sets the tone with hot set soft techno. It’s a live DJ with his own genre. Dry dirty martinis are spot on. Soft dark cool conditions. Service moves fast to place orders. I ordered the 12oz filet medium rare, asparagus nd lobster risotto. The filet is charbroiled outside medium rare perfect. I got a NYSTRIP because this was way too big for a filet. So they fucked up my order. The asparagus is the largest I’ve ever seen. Come with a hickory smoked sent. Very appealing. The lobster risotto. WOW! Spot on! And highly recommend this! I am very impressed that they monitor alcohol intake. There was a conversation with the medorde whether to give a couple another round. It was analyzed and evaluated nicely. Very respectively handled.

For a place called Meat Market, they should know how to serve good meat. I ordered a 6 oz fet mignon medium and, although it was cooked correctly, it was completely dry. It seemed like it was cooked at another time and reheated. We also ordered a couple of sides. One of them came out wrong and the waiter admitted to having input the wrong item in the system. The correct side didn’t come out until we were done with our meal and all plates were cleared. I also asked for regular tap water and an $ 8 bottle of water was poured before I could decline. Nothing was comped for the late food. Would never return.

Finally, we celebrated our wedding anniversary over a delicious, well-cooked meal! We got to the restaurant when they opened at 4 but only the bar was open for service and we didn’t want to eat at the bar so we returned at 5 when the dining room was open. The restaurant fills quickly so it’s smart to make reservations(we did at 4 to return at 5!). The restaurant was illuminated by candles in glasses lined in front of mirrors along the perimeter of the dining room. The walls and ceiling had wood tones and warm tans and the black glossy tables popped. Starts: They served a sour dough bread with a chickpea and sun-dried tomato spread and offered butter if we wanted. They also served complimentary wasabi peas and huge corn kernals in chili powder(like the Peruvian Cancha Salada snack). Loved the peas and corn — not a sour-dough fan. Appetizer: We split a plate of surface-crisp lamb ribs that were so soft that my fork alone pulled the meat off of the bone! The ribs are usually served in a hoisin sauce but I asked for it to be served on the side. The ribs were on a bed of sliced savoy cabbage, papaya, peanuts and cilantro in a light dressing. Entrée: We split a huge, 30 ounce«Kobe Beef Tomahawk Ribeye» steak. The bone was frenched and the meat was nearly blackened on the surface but mid-rare on the inside — PERFECT temp! It tasted wonderful but I was surprised that the meat wasn’t marbled, considering it was Kobe and a ribeye — both known for marbled meat. I don’t love fatty cuts but was splitting it with hubby, so I was fine with that but while soft, I expected it to be more tender. It could be that their steak knives aren’t serrated — we took leftovers home(and gave a bit to our dogs for waiting for their dinner) and our serrated knife cut the meat with ease. Side: We enjoyed a mix of sauteed Hen Of the Woods, Shiitake, and Tree Oyster mushrooms that were densely flavored. Sauce: The tasty wild mushroom and truffle sauce was gilding the lily — after having the sauteed mushrooms we didn’t need the sauce. The main server, Gonzalo, was great — he was friendly and personable while presenting the formal sentiment of the restaurant. The other servers and busers served/cleaned the table between courses to help deliver the perfect dining experience. A manager came over to make sure the meat temp was right and that we were happy. We finished the meal with coffee — served in a plastic double walled, handle-free mug. The coffee was boiling hot; perhaps that’s why their half and half was served cold(I was surprised because typically high end restaurants serve warmed cream — even my fav restaurant, Bellini, serves it warm!) I want to return to the restaurant to enjoy some of their other dishes — this steakhouse has a great selection of beef, seafood, shellfish, fish, and tonight they even had fresh ceviche! I think that no matter what I order the meal would be great.
