Fish lovers: run, don’t walk to this place! Beautiful, moist fish options with a lovely presentation on every plate. Take your time and have a nice drink at the bar before you sit down in this lively classy and upscale place. Once you take your seat, service starts with a smile and a nice basket of breads to enjoy with your beverage before dinner arrives. If you’re looking for a fairly energetic and bustling restaurant, then this is your place. You can kick back in your finery, take in the view and let the kitchen serve up some lovely food! It’s a special night out but it’s going to co$t you :-)

This is a popular spot in the ritzy Worth Avenue shopping area. Went here for lunch on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon in February. The clientele seems to be mainly well-healed silver-haired snowbirds but who can blame people for coming to this place? It’s classic Palm Beach — park your Maserati and sit at your regular table — «we’ll have the usual…» The menu is «Continental» — what does that mean anyhow? It’s a big menu of typically old-school American stuff with emphasis on seafood. I had the Worth Avenue salad, which was pretty tasty actually — lump crab meat, shrimp, greens, avocado, boiled eggs and dijon vinaigrette. My dining companion had the Nicoise salad with grilled ahi tuna which was just ok. I think the place could use a bit of updating, like most of the clientele. Anyone know a good Plastic Surgeon in Palm Beach?

I left my car with the Valet. When I returned the car had a $ 50 dollar ticket. I pointed this out to the valet car driver and he told me to give him the ticket and he would«take care of it.» He saw other cars with similar tickets and removed them from the windshields. I sent a certified letter to the Ta-boo restaurant asking about this parking situation and if it was being resolved. The answer came in the form of a notice from the Town of Palm Beach advising me that I now owed them fifty dollars plus a twenty dollar penalty. I called the restaurant and a person who identified herself as «Erica»” told me that they contract the work out to Prestige Valet in West Palm Beach and that someone would call me from there. They haven’t. You won’t see me back at Ta-boo anymore. Boo hoo!

Just the place for a great power lunch and some really good people watching. This place screams classic palm beach vibe. Come dressed in your finest casual Chanel clutch and slip on a pair of Stubbs & Wootons. The staff is friendly enough. We all got a different salad. The crab stack was a mound of fresh crab with avocado and a mango slaw. The worth salad has the most generous portion of lump crab meat and shrimp. The Nicoise can be ordered with fresh ahi tuna prepared to your liking, rare for me. I have to say it was one of the better nicoise’ s I’ve ever had. During your dining experience, ladies from local shops model select new items to solicit your business. It’s a little silly but for a lady who loves to shop, I enjoyed the previews.

What a shame, nicely placed restaurant in Worth Avenue with good ambiance for the area. But wow do they need to improve the service and change the chef. When we ordered a tea they brought hot water and forgot the tea bag. If we didn’t chase them we won’t have received it. My lemon sole francaise was delicious but the portion was more for a kids meal. One tiny filet that wouldn’t fill anyone. My wife’s dish came and the side only arrived once we had finished our meal. The busboy couldn’t wait to empty the table so that we lost any appetite to have the side, which was over cooked. We were so disappointed that we didn’t want to tempt our luck with desert. They just seemed not to care and be spread too thin.

My experience at Ta-Boo wasn’t as expected. The place was surrounded by annoying mirrors and had a very«old person» feel to it. They played annoying old jazzy music and all the food was beyond overpriced. For starters, I dined with a smoked salmon pizza which was excellent, but when my main course a $ 48 Dover Sole arrived, my opinion went upside down. I could make a better Dover Sole for under $ 20. The fish was tiny, had no taste and was well over cooked. I’d rather spend $ 48 on something half worth it. My sister ordered the Filet Mignon, and asked that it would be cooked medium rare. She received the Filet, only to see a flat piece of overcooked meat in front of her face. If your 70 years old and enjoy overpriced and not so finely cooked food. I would advice that you try this.

We have been to Taboo several times. The staff is excellent, from the hostess to the wait staff. I have never been treated rude. I do notice when I’m There some people could be very demanding and condescending. But I’m talking about the clients. Worth the stop in

We stopped by for lunch on thanksgiving after just driving into PB and I was surprised to find anything open at all– probably that’s why we were overall happy with this place. Seems like regular’s favorite– patrons were dressed up(love it) and the staff seemed to know them well. We sat at the bar and both bartenders were friendly and nice. My husband had the Worth salad which he liked and I had the shrimp salad which had very fresh greens and flavorful dressing but the shrimp were cooked to death and then cooked some more. Wish they’d go easy on them. Overall the ambiance and setting are as posh as you’d expect to encounter in a Worth Ave restaurant — not that there’s anything wrong with that.

So this is my second experience here and I have never been more disappointed. I gave an amazing review for my last visit, but I have to say I will not be returning EVER! Tim was our server and it honestly was the worst service I have ever had in my life. Tim and the rest of the staff were so rude from the Moment my party and I walked in. I guess maybe because we are fifty years younger than the normal clientele and they assumed We wouldn’t spend money? I’m not sure but the treatment was horrific. No recommendations, acted like all of our questions were irrelevant, treated us as if we were so beneath them. No manners were shown at all, for example, no how are you doing, no please, no thank you, no your welcome, no check back on if the food or drinks were tasteful, etc. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning and will be sure to spread the word.

Fabulous Bloody Mary, beautiful environment, and a fashion show of society to boot. Food was acceptable but not memorable. Caesar salad not served on cold plates, shrimp scampi and snapper dishes tasty but only good at best. Bread wonderful. Service impeccable and very helpful, despite the fact we were the simplest dressed in the restaurant.

This was our favorite meal of our trip in Palm Beach. Go for happy hour! The menu is fantastic and you can also order off the main menu. The Palm Beach martini was delicious. The smoked salmon pizza was to die for and the middle eastern plate was so good. The scene is even better. It’s location is prime!

Love it here! Met a friend for Sunday brunch a few days ago. It’s a charming place, very cozy. The host and servers were friendly and attentive. I had the Pistachio-crusted Salmon over Greek Salad. It was delicious. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. I look forward to returning.

I gave two stars because Ta-Boo had a number of glaring problems, and could not be eclipsed during the entirety of our meal. 1. Ta-Boo seated us quickly after a 15 minute wait, but they seated us in a far back corner of the restaurant. At first I didn’t mind, but the more I looked around, the more I realized that there were plenty of open tables in the main room. I looked at my parties clothing and everyone else’s and while there was a slight difference it was not out of the ordinary for lunch in the area. I decided to write it off as a fluke and continue waiting for our meal. 2. Speaking of waiting, our entire experience from entering the establishment and stepping outside of the building was approximately one hour and forty-five minutes. I knew things were taking a long time because our server deserted us numerous times throughout the lunch, but I didn’t realize we were approaching the two hour mark. I had to wave down the server for our app order, meal order, dessert order, and finally the check. It was like our server just didn’t care about us, or didn’t think our money was good enough for the establishment. This was unacceptable for a lunch. 3. We had a party of four and the prices were highly inflated. My salmon meal was forty-five dollars and I received twenty dollars worth of salmon at best. It was overcooked and the side dishes didn’t compliment each other or the salmon. 4. The apps were nice though, and that is why they received one of these two stars. I expected something like what we got for the price we paid, and the taste was fantastic. 5. The dessert was great as well. Slightly over priced but they served a proper keylime pie, with no artificial die, ingredients, or garnishes. They complimented it with a very nice raspberry emulsion on the side, which made the entire dessert come together very nicely. Overall I give Ta-Boo two stars. Their staff are inattentive, their food is over priced, but they know how to make a good app and dessert… so do many local restaurants near me though. This wasn’t worth my time or money, I will never be returning.

On a quick three day trip to Florida — first stop, Ta-boo. It is a weekday lunch but the place is filled with the Palm Beach pretty people. There is a nice buzz in the very crowded restaurant and while I am unknown I am treated very well. To be honest I am surprised. The food is good, prices are fair,(by N.Y. Standards), and the service is excellent. A good way for my trip to start.

Second time reviewing, millionth time eating here. Service: good. No reservation at 1 pm on a Wednesday. Waited about 10 minutes. Seated at the front(perfect). Hostess took our drink orders: it took a little while to get but came before the app. Server was ok. Food: Fresh burrata Amazing as an appetizer. Creamy and rich, served cold with yellow and red tomatoes, arugula, balsamic and olive oil. So good. I could eat this all day. Salt and pepper make it pop. Ta-boo Crab stack Really good. I recommend this to anyone who likes crab. It is a beautiful pile of fresh crab meat with mango salsa below and guacamole above. Very large pieces of crab and very good flavor. A small bed of lettuce makes it a filling dish. Not too much food. Ceasar salad (With fried calamari) Very good dressing, not too much. Good size. Exactly what a ceasar should taste like. Drink: Worth avenue cocktail –strong and fruity Palm beach martini –pineapple, sweet and mild Champaign phantom –mild, not too sweet Dessert: Ta-boo lust –so good. A coconut cream pie but some how better Cheese cake –very good. Needs tart fruit in my opinion but my family loves it

Not much has changed in the two years since I’ve been here. Crowded on a holiday week at lunchtime, We snagged a spot at the bar. The sound system playing«You Make Me Feel So Young,» which at 51 years old, I did. The older crowd consisted of men in golf shorts with Hermes belts and Lily Pulitzer-clad women with walkers. To the right at the bar was a New York attorney ignoring the«Use Cellphone Etiquette» sign and loudly making deals on his phone — to the left, a Bobby Cannavale look alike, hungover and checking out inappropriate websites on his phone. We had the Worth Avenue salad(crab meat, shrimp and capers lightly dressed with a Dijon vinegarette) and an amazing ahi tuna taco salad plate. Service was briskly efficient. When I discovered some lip stick on my martini glass, the bartender said that some things will always be there — just like Cher and cockroaches surviving the apocalypse. Ta-boo will be there too — as long as Palm Beach is — providing solid food and outstanding people-watching.

Terrible service. The busboys were bumping customers and blocking them from passing the walkways. The Chilean sea bass was smaller then the size of a credit card.

We descended on Taboo as a group of about 40 plus. The food and wait staff did an excellent job. I was very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. I would defintely put this on a must return to eat again here status!

Been going to this true PB gem my whole life and they never disappoint. The staff feels like family and the chef is always incredibly accommodating with food allergies regardless of how bizarre they may be. Always make reservations and be aware that their menu has long standing staples(steak salad for one) but also changes on a regular basis. Don’t be dissuaded by the age of the clientele. They know what’s up. Also, don’t be intimidated by the ridiculous cars and the valet in the front, which luckily isn’t as bad as the infamous(also delicious) Palm Beach Grill. No matter what car you may be driving at the moment, if you don’t care about making an entrance(gasp! the horror!) simply drive around the corner, park yourself, and walk through the back. No biggy!

Have never been disappointed here over these past three years, be it brunch, lunch or dinner. Staff always pleasant and helpful when deciding on dishes. Today all four of us liked what we had. One of my faves on the Sunday brunch menu was the Huevos Rancheros. Absolutely the best, and the tastiest with many flavors put together. All the sections of the restaurant are comfortable. Even better when the fireplace is on.
