They have the best Phillies in town!!! Clean and friendly place and reasonably priced.

This is one of those spots that you might drive by and not notice, but it’s worth the stop. There Philly Cheesesteak is a staple and super tasty, but also recommend the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, extra spicy. It’s really good. Little on the pricey side, but I have always had a good sandwich here.

Best spot for a quick chili cheese steak. 4 stars because you usually have to wait a while.

This place is one of my fav’s, not only are the employees timely and friendly but the store is super clean. Sometimes it’s a little warm inside but if that’s all that’s nothing. The food here is unbelievable, well what I’ve tried anyways, the fried chicken is amazing… A must quick stop if your in PD off of Cook street, and craving some fried chicken!

It blows my mind people give this place such glowing reviews. We ordered the Mexican Philly Cheese Steak with Joey sauce on the side and onion rings. The onion rings weren’t fried enough which is a pretty easy thing to accomplish. The sandwich was soaked in the sauce(I wasn’t sure what it tasted like. Awful btw) the cheese was supposed to be pepper jack but tasted like American and the beef was essentially cooked down to beef jerky texture. If it was closer to my house I’d demand my money back. It’s borderline inedible.

The philly cheese steaks were solid, but not quite as good as other reviews had me expecting. The onion rings were really good. Everything was prepared quickly. A good place for an inexpensive, quick, and decent meal.

So disappointed in the fact that they never have lechon. At first I was told it would be regular… and when ever I ask, they don’t have any. Longonisa is always good, but I know many that had their hopes for lechon only to be shot down time and again. Aw well… there’s always Indio.

Been coming here since I was a little kid and the food is AMAZING. Whenever I am back in the desert I make sure to get a cheese steak from here!

I come to this place all the time and the food is actually pretty good but it’s been twice already where I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and when I get to work I realize there’s no dressing inside. The first time I called back asking if I was supposed to get the dressing myself or if it was supposed to be inside with the salad. The owners wife said it’s supposed to be inside and offered me a free salad the next time I came in. This was weeks ago. Recently I ordered the salad again, and again when I got to work no dressing. Keep in mind I’m paying almost $ 8 for a salad I would at least appreciate to have some dressing to go with it. I call back and tell her this is the second time I get to work and realize there’s no dressing inside. I know I should probably check before I leave but most of the time I’m in a hurry after waiting 15 minutes for my salad and its already all packed in a bag but either way, it’s their job to include it. I called and she said she’ll give me a discount the next time I come in. Ive never been the type of person to scam people or lie to get free things. Shit if I’m willing to pay nearly $ 8 for a salad why would I lie I genuinely like the place. So when I come back two days later I start saying«Ya I called about the salad-» and she doesn’t even let me finish and rudely says«alright you want another salad ok that’ll be $ 4.50» and I’m like«what? This is the SECOND time you guys forget to include something and I don’t have time to come back«And she’s like«Ya and I’m giving you a discount. Idk what’s happening the guys said they included it» and I was like«they really said they included it?» I was surprised cuz I know some of the cooks they’re nice guys but c’mon this lady was pretty much calling me a liar and being rude. I told her«honestly mam I come here all the time(probably 2 – 3 times a week) and this is the second time you guys made a mistake I mean I don’t have to come here» and she just shrugged her shoulders and said«so you want it or not» All in all, I guess if you’re particular about customer service don’t come here and if you get a chicken Caesar salad make sure to check that the dressing is inside the bag before you leave.

Great philly cheesesteaks in a surprising location. It’s basically a liquor store with a great sandwich shop inside. All the locals seem to be here.

This os one of those places you just have to go to. They have just about anything you can imagine on their menu, literally anything and located inside a Convenience store. I got the Philly Cheesesteak and it was very good, how does it compare to others, I dont know. It was good tho. I dont usually order Cheesesteaks. Everything else that kept coming out of the kitchen looked very good. This place can get totally jammed during lunch time as it located around a lot of businesses so order ahead of time to go, otherwise you might not get a spot at the one long table to sit at. Check it out, I think you will really like it!

Alkobar is basically a local landmark, and especially a staple amongst PDHS alum. They have all your typical mini mart selections like beer, sodas, and junk food but the menu above the cash register is what draws the lunchtime crowds. They Philly Cheese Steak hype is so real! Trust, it’s the one you’ll compare all others to. It just doesn’t get much better! They’ve got everything from sub sandwiches to killer tacos and Filipino food. Every time I come here I remind myself to try different items, but I mean that cheese steak…

The philly cheese steak, fully loaded with jalapeños is always a winner! Do they even serve anything else? It wouldn’t matter. I’m stuck. It’s right around the corner from my work so even though it’s packed during lunch, it’s worth it. The 4 stars only because it’s always so packed with hardly any standing room and I can never hear when my order is called. It’s also a tad messy, which makes me too uncomfortable to stay and eat.

My son is addicted to the bacon Philly cheesesteak. As a surprise for him I always pick up the 16″ whenever I am in the area. It is such a fun little place in an industrial area. It’s so unexpected to find good fast food in a convenience shop. Grab a drink out of the coolers, place your order to go, or grab a seat at the high top tables and stools. I haven’t tried the Filipino food yet. The ladies are always friendly and patient with me as I ty to find something healthy to eat. Parking can be tricky when it’s busy.

I’m going to have to say… Wow. Who would have thunk it? An unassuming little corner liquor store/convenience store on Cook St. would have such good philly cheese steaks! I’ve been here twice now and tempted to try other things on the menu, but the cheese steak keeps calling me back… On another note, they also serve filipino food, which is just another twist to throw into this funny lunch spot! Try it out people, it’s yummy!

What an awesome little shop! Super unique as you walk in and find yourself in a gas mart type of convenience store. After a double take you’ll find that there’s no gas station in sight but all the candy/soda type of stuff is right at your fingertips. However, what sets this place apart is the food and the Philly cheesesteaks to be specific. An 8 inch sub with an oversized drink and fries for under 10 bucks with tax?!? Yes please!!! There’s a long bar table with condiments and things for a quick bite but wow. This has got to be my new spot every time I’m waiting for my car to get serviced. Service here is great as well and even the cooks are pretty attentive to customers– probably more so the dazed and confused looking ones like me.

This review is purely for the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It is to die for. I’ve been going here since high school and the Philly is still a winner! It’s a small convenient store — but in the back they have a kitchen. You order at the register. They have one long table with bar stools to sit at. It’s fairly ghetto — but the sandwich is totally and completely worth it. Throw some taco sauce on the Philly and you’re set!
