I love great food and it’s hard to find that in the desert. Other restaurants are not so good. Usually after I tried them I like to give my honest reviews. I came here with my family and This place was very friendly and the staff was very nice walking in. The food came out and not only looked delicious but tasted great as well. All my family loved there plates as well. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and nice little classy restaurant to eat in. We enjoyed it all. I will be happy to come back here again and bring more family & friends.

Prices are somewhat exceptional, but the cuisine is not. Definitely not«gourmet». Very small portions also. Capresse salad made with lettuce instead of basil. Rather disappointed. One great thing: the Spumoni. Delish.

Haven’t done a Unilocal review in a long time but this place deserves to be talked about. Love the décor(reminds us of our home town San Diego). The wine cellar, glass walls, traditional wood fire oven give this place a urban feel and the food and service is fantastic! The food is very Sicilian and so so good. The meatballs, eggplant, tuna carpaccio, and daily specials are excellent. We seriously crave their food here and haven’t been disappointed in the last 2 years. Belly up at the kitchen and watch them stuff their fresh pasta ravioli’s. I can’t say enough good things about Il Corso

Il Corso in Italian means the main street(or El Paseo, in Spanish). It may as well mean beautifully delicious, too, because this place is gorgeous and serves up sumptuous fare for its customers. The restaurant’s ambiance is rich and elegantly appointed withe high open loft ceilings, woven basket lights and a 100-year-old wood flooring and imported Italian stone sourced from an old Italian farmhouse. The interior is divided in two sections –one devoted to the bar and lounge area(happy hour runs from noon to close) and the other being the large main dining room(including a smaller, private room closed off by a reclaimed wood sliding«barn door»). A floor-to-ceiling wine cellar holds more than 300 bottles of wines originating from all over the world(California, Italy, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand). The bar’s illuminated glass wall of bottles separates the lounge and dining room. At the back of the restaurant a long marble counter serves customers where they can observe the chefs and pizziolas at work at the«il forno,» or Il Corso’s brick pizza oven. Seating is also available outside and street side of El Paseo Il Corso offers wood-fired thin-crust Roman-style pizzas, panini and a variety of innovative salads, with Pomodoro y Burrata being a favorite among the appetizers. The enters and meals are Mediterranean-inspired and include seafood, homemade meatballs, and imported pastas from Italy. And they say here that if it’s not on the menu, the chef can surely make it for you. I ordered focaccia pizza bruschetta with fresh tomatoes, upon recommendation, and did not regret it –the garlic and shaved Parmesan cheese, and Di Stefano Burrata with heirloom tomatoes were incredibly tasty and satisfying. This place is a great place to dine on El Paseo and the best Italian restaurant I know of in the desert.

All I can say is WOW! We dined here tonight for our anniversary. The service was amazing! We had the Carpaccio and beet salad for appetizers. Both of them were delicious. My husband had the Salmon prepared in a Champagne butter sauce and I had the Veal Piccata with fresh capellini with garlic and olive oil. Everything was crazy good! We had no expectations so we were so surprised by the absolutely phenomenal food. All I can say is please come to Palm Springs!!! Oh I almost forgot the Lemon Cello dessert!!! Everything was perfecto!

As a NYC resident we are extremely fussy about our food and service. Both were definitely up to NYC standards. The food was excellent and we received bot good and friendly service. They were also very accommodating in allowing us to have our little dog sit with us outside. We may be used to NYC pricing, but we did not think the prices were over inflated for what we got. Yogurt what you pay for no matter where you are. We look forward to returning to Il Corso on our next visit to the Palm Springs area!

Great place for happy hour, but dinner is a little too pricey for our wallet. Food, wine, service, ambiance all terrific. Class all the way. You cam watch the pizza maker working the wood fired oven and the chef overseeing all the detail in the kitchen. All of this shows in the presentation and quality of the food.

I’m sorry but I can’t understand any negative review for this place. We were visiting PS and I know the desert very well. We needed a place where we could take our dog that was traveling with us. We called last minute on a Sunday evening to get a table outside and they were super accommodating. When we arrived they brought a bowl of water for our dog, an immediate thumbs up for that. We ordered a perfect bottle of petite Verdot that was not only fabulous but served at the proper temperature, their wine list is amazing. We decided to share a few things. 1. Squash blossoms — YUM and the red sauce made me so anticipate my pasta dish 2. Beet salad — the Gorgonzola was top notch my only criticism is it could have used a touch more vinegar in the dressing. 3. Pasta ala Norma — the rigitoni was cooked perfectly, the eggplant was done just right and the red sauce was unbelievable . I’m a NYC Italian and I give Il Corso a solid 5 stars. oh and I have a famous last name that solidifies my cred… ol blu eyes out…

We had lunch here. The food was incredible. Great flavors and portions that didn’t have you leaving feeling like a blimp. The service was the best. As soon as we finished a plate there was someone there to pick it up, and our glasses never went empty. Delivery was prompt. My only critique would be the 80’s music. I like hearing Italian music when I go to an Italian restaurant. It enhances the experience so much more.

We were very disappointed with Il Corso. Most of the reviews seemed to be decent but our experience was not great. The setting of Il Corso is very nice. Décor is well done. However the service and food was a dud. Waiter seemed disinterested in us and it took a while to get our orders in. I must say the food was blah. My husband ordered the pasta with the boar ragu sauce and did not finish it, which in itself, is saying something. It lacked flavor and didn’t even appear to be homemade. Was not good. My daughter and I both ordered the $ 37 dollar branzino and again, it lacked flavor. Said it was served with a sauce of tomatoes, olives and potatoes. There were literally 2 olives, 2 small roasted cherry tomatoes, and 4 very tiny pieces of potatoes in the«sauce». Not at all what we expected. I say skip it.

Another feeling of being ripped off. Lovely atmosphere and chi-chi food presentation… as for the food… I’m still hungry and it tasted ‘fishey’ instead of flavorful. Once again, the server bestowed the honor if occasionally waiting on us. Back to Piero’s Pizza Vino down the street for tasty food, good service at good prices.

If I could leave no stars I defiantly would. my grandma made REALAUTHENTICITALIANFOOD. This tasted like food out of a can. You could clearly see the guys working in the kitchen but I would imagine they need more training and better ingredients. My 15 year old can cook much better than that. Also the most important part of my review was the FOODPOISONING my sweet friend got while we dinned there. The food kitchen coordinator was horribly rude, he cared not for my friend or her current state. I will be speaking to the owner and getting to the bottom of this. This issue should have been treated with TLC not rude, I do not care attitude. Save money try another place on El Paseo.

I had an appointment that was running late so I sat at the bar and ordered a martini. Little did I know that it was going to cost $ 17.00. Absolutely ridiculous and a real rip off.

We sat at a table this time. The four of us were very comfortable as the chairs are sturdy and the spacing is ample. We started with the Beef Carpaccio and the Stuffed Zucchini Flowers as appetizers. For the price I was not impressed. I thought we could have received more bang for the buck. My wife requested the Minestrone Soup and it was FRESH&CLEAN of fat or tons of salt. I recommend just a little more seasoning but it seemed like it was prepared within minutes of arriving at our table. For my entrée I selected the Swordfish. I love to have it blackened and it came out better than perfect. It was thick, juicy and the seasoning was a definite HOMERUN. I am not a fan of Spinach which was the side but I ate about half anyway. Next time I will substitute for Asparagus. After dinner, we ordered one of the best desserts I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The Chocolate Tort. It was simply DELECTABLE. Sweet, rich and light. It went very nice with the remnants of our red blend that was left. Jose was our server and he was approachable, helpful and talkative. We enjoyed two bottles of the Seabiscuit Superfecta and he was nice enough to share some family history. We all have interesting stories to tell. We just wish he would have refilled our wine glasses more. All in all, a very good time to enjoy each others company. We will return.

Amazing service: diligent and kind, 5 stars all the way! The sandwich wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but it was delicious and most people would love. I thought I ordered a refreshing balsamic mozzarella sandwich and it turned out to have prosciutto in it. A generous helping of top quality prosciutto. If you love dry cured meats you will be in heaven. I can admit the flavor was stellar, unfortunately, not my thing. All the flavors were very fresh and of very good quality. The salad on the side was delicious and not sure how it was crisp and cool on such a hot day! :) I could tell great care was taken in food preparation.
