It’s In the Bag

Do go there if you want clever and quite helpful travel related bags, tools & eclectic devices. They are the kitchen kitchen of the travel scene. I love the name embroidered tags especially for cruises. Not too pricey & this example is a godsend for all travel.
However if you’re a nervous-​Nellie traveler who needs a ton of support just to make little decisions, then Don’t go there thinking the staff will be empathetic, listen generously, and make your decisions for you. Ok call behavior sometimes on the abrupt side, but if you can get over yourself long enough to realize what a real benefit a shop like this is here in the desert, then you will appreciate it for what it can be and do for you, simply a fellow traveler.

The owner is AWFUL! I called said I would be there in 2 days to pick up my bag, he shipped to it my house at my expense and now I have no suitcase for my trip!
Do NOT take your bag here for repair.
Then he was RUDE and insulting after his mistake!

I purchased a luggage set based on information that the salesperson gave me. Medium size suitcase with carry on. I used it, what a nightmare. The system is forward heavy, with the carry on attached. The carry on has a design flaw which was acknowledged during my phone conversation with the store salesperson. The entire system, will randomly pitch forward. I did not request a refund, although I should have, $ 450, down the drain. The gentleman I spoke with, offered a partial store credit. He was not rude, I just don’t want to go back. I was told all 4 wheel system are prone to fall over. Really? So millions of travelers are constantly having to pick up their luggage off the ground in airports all over the world. Having traveled a great deal, I just don’t see this! In particular flight crews, no! This is a poor design, he knew exactly what i was describing, but they sold the products anyway. The wheels extend out so far, that it adds approximately 3 inches to the size of the suitcase, and is therefore, not carry on compatible. Be careful. I purchased a Tumi with recessed wheels and front legs for stability not cheap, but worth every penny. Be cautious when you purchase from this store. I have a cheap Cal Pak 4 wheel suite case and carry on, guess what, it doesn’t pitch forward. Very disappointed in store.

Amazing place, best customer service I have ever experienced and the quality of their repairs are second to none

We have been regular customers for years. I called to report a problem I had with one of their products. The owner of store became nasty, told me he had been in the business for 45 years (implying that I know no thing) and insulted me in response to my complaint. His words — «you just don’t want anyone to tell you that you made a mistake.» I will never do business with them again.

Matt was a great help and very knowledgeable of the products. Was able to find TSA locks here for our Briggs & Riley wardrobes. Great selection of luggage and accessories at this store located in the shopping center next to I HOP restaurant. Thanks Matt!

If you are looking for a travel store that has integrity, practices customer service and values their customers, this is NOT the place for you! We have been customers for years, but when I came into the store and asked about exchanging a travel hairdryer that I purchased several months ago that does not work properly, the owner asked if I had the receipt. I told him that I probably did not, and he rudely said that without a receipt he «could not do anything» because many other stores sell the same item. I reminded him that I was a long time customer and that I would not lie about a $ 35 item that I just wanted to EXCHANGE and he still was not willing to offer any help whatsoever.
We had heard from several of our friends that the owner was a real jerk, but now we experienced it for ourselves. Not sure how people like this stay in business, but I guess if people are stupid enough to tolerate such abuse they can get away with it. You can be sure we will never step foot in this store again.

This place is pretty cool. A little bit of everything. My wife and I ended up with new hiking outfits. We both are very happy with the clothes. The owner is very passionate about what he sells and it was obvious. We recommend this shop.

Finally, a store who puts the customer first. Great knowledgable staff. I would drive from L. A to give them our business. Superb.

I’ve been here twice in the last year. While they offer a wide range of good travel products they are way overpriced. But worst of all is the VERY rude, offensive jerk who is the owner/​manager. I don’t know how he manages to sell anything by insulting his customers when they don’t accept his ‘advice.’

I purchased an expensive line of luggage, Briggs and Riley. The zipper was defective and returned, the staff was arrogant and the owner gave me one hour to come and pick up the defective luggage or it would be on the curb. Not a good experience, not worth the investment. Good luck if you buy any product.

This place is amazing. They have everything you can think of. I love my new computer bag.

This place feels a bit like Travel Smith meets The Sharper Image (remember them?). Good selection of luggage and travel accessories.
