I absolutely love this Whole Foods it’s always clean, staff is friendly and helpful and it’s always stocked with all my go to healthy foods that I can’t find anywhere else. We absolutely love the restaurant here the food is always fresh and you can’t beat their Friday deal fish and chips and a beer for $ 10 …honestly one of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had its light and fluffy and fresh not heavy and greasy.

I usually enjoy coming to whole foods for their coolhaus icecream sandwiches, which I can’t seem to find any place else, but tonight was definitely a let down. We walked by 6 people, all looked at my fiancé and I, and not one said anything, not even a smile. I’m sorry but when I’m paying 4.99 for each ice cream sandwich, I expect at least a smile. I know these people are not mute, they use to be much friendlier. And at this time during our season, you need to be on top of your game as an employee. Such a bummer. Good thing you guys carry my ice cream or I wouldn’t make the trip from La Quinta.

I have been to WF in OH, FL, HI, and several in Southern CA, this one, in terms of customer service is the worst. There is not even an attempt to be better oriented to the customer which was always a mainstay for WholeFoods. You have to call out to someone behind a counter for help where in every other Whole Foods they would approach you. They need guidance and a manager who inspires and focuses employees on the customers not on themselves and each other only.

Whole Foods is awesome, so glad they decided to open one up locally. Little bit pricier than your average grocery store, but you won’t find a lot of their items in an average grocery store. It is fun to just go walk around and check out what they have. They have a really good juice bar, and smoothie bar, usually come here after workouts and get a smoothie, the people working at the smoothie bar are very friendly, smile, and display good customer service skills, they know how to make a smoothie properly, and their prices are pretty good, compared to other juice bars in the area. They have only messed up my smoothie one time, but other than that it’s been great.

What a difference a week makes. One Saturday we leave Whole Foods wholly satisfied as the woman at the butcher counter went out of her way to get us the meat we wanted. We even bought some bacon that we hadn’t planned on buying. That it all turned out so wholly delicious helped too. Yesterday she was not there. We waited for someone to show up. WIth the store so busy it was a surprise that no one was personing the counter. Finally a man came out and was just the polar opposite of the help we had last week. We walked away buying nothing.

So thankful to have a Whole Foods! It makes being a vegan/vegetarian so much easier! They have vegetarian sushi!!! And so many vegan items. I love coming here to get a superfood beverage, or coffee. On the plus side, they are starting to lower their prices and have more affordable deals on organic food– which makes supporting a business like this so much easier. Also I love all the cashiers because they’re so down to earth and always make for good conversations. I really adore this whole store.

We’re a family of four and sometimes crave a buffet but haven’t found one we all enjoy so Whole Foods is the closest to it. We come here to eat, maybe shop for some beer and sample some meats. We’re not fancy folks so we enjoy the bar tremendously. The kids get their little trays of their favorites and the hubz and I split some calamari and enjoy mostly anything off that menu. For me the portions are just right but my dude thinks they’re small. The good thing? We’re eating in a market so there’s food all around… If Cardenas had a bar we wouldn’t even make it to Whole Foods but for now it works.

They get one star for vegan donuts but often run out. Hello, bake a few more… The management is poor. Limited vegan items. No matter what I ask it isn’t stocked. Hint. No one likes vegan Apple sausage but the Italian ones are never stocked. Limited vegan baked goods. No in house choices except for breakfast items. Expensive place and a waste of time. Produce expensive and not good Cheese poor choices. Plenty of wine and booze. Always leave there unhappy The attitude is that, hey we’re whole foods and the only game in town. My husband likes chicken salad but they can’t make one without making it with weird ingredients, nuts, chipotle, grapes… Go to Ralph’s and Jensen’s better choices and cheaper.

Here’s the scoop It’s sort of located inside the WholeFoods market. Fish and chips were great. But what you don’t realize is that everything inside the market is «on the menu». That’s right. You can shop for anything you like and then bring it into the tap-in restaurant and cook, eat, or drink it Bottle of wine you like? Buy it and there’s NO corkage fee! Nice piece of meat you buy in the meat dept? Great, buy it and bring it in for them to cook it. You can add it to anything in the restaurant or simply eat your groceries without buying anything else. Neat concept

Definitely one of my favorite grocery stores in the desert. Fantastic bakery, great meat and fresh seafood department. I love their pizza bar and hot foods bar. They smoke fresh meats daily and the staff is so friendly. They have a great selection of gourmet breads and make fresh sandwiches. They also have a sushi chef preparing fresh sushi daily. Their produce market is grand, and they also have a fresh juice bar and a coffee bar.

WORSTWHOLEFOODS ever! I was so excited to come back to the desert for the season and have the new whole foods open. What a disappointment. Every time I have walked into the store, I have walked out frustrated because it seems as though there are always ATLEAST(if not more) 3 items that I can’t get because their shelves are NEVER stocked. In October, I overlooked it thinking… «It’s not season yet, I get it»… But nothing has changed. I find myself on a regular bases asking to for a product in which almost 100% of the time they don’t have in stock… From romaine lettuce, frozen Applegate chicken sausage, Le croix water, vitamins, skim milk, bread… These are only a few items which should typically be stocked at all times given their staples. I spoke with the GM, who one day approached me as I was shopping to ask if I was finding everything alright given I’m sure the look on my face. After expressing my frustrations gave me his card and said to call should I ever have the issue with lack a product again… Well, it’s every time I come in the store. As a regular whole foods customer it breaks my heart that this is such a shitty store. Not to mention the food bar is absolutely disgusting and not attended to. I’ll pass. The icing on the cake was when I walked into the store and that same GM greeted me with … «Welcome back to the worst whole foods ever»! REALLY!!! I am a customer and this is how your going to greet me with sarcasm because you can’t do your job! It compelled me to write this review as well as reach out to whole foods corporate.

Wholefoods is the BEST grocery store in the Desert. SERVICE always fast and friendly. The variety of Products are welcomed, especially since I am Meal Prep Chef, my clients demand variety. The staff is never not busy, but they stop and acknowledge you and ask if you need assistance. Now thats service. My best experience came from a late lunch at the bar/restaurant located inside. My server was very helpful in suggestions on the menu. Cayla must have seen how tired I was, and she just took over and made me so special. The foods she suggested were PERFECT, she also suggested the perfect wine to compliment the meal. Before long my mood had changed and I renewed. Now thats what you call full service with a smile!!. Thanks Wholefoods.

Again disappointed in the lack of customer support and the length of time to check out due to very slow checkers who seem to want to carry on long conversations with people when there are people waiting and waiting. Stopped in the café for a drink, no one came to take my order(waited 5 minutes), then stood at bar for awhile before being asked«what you need.» I’ve always enjoyed shopping at other Whole Foods across the country, hope the Palm Desert store makes it and improves service.

I’ve tried to enjoy this store as i’m a fan of the Whole Foods Market Brand. I just cannot shop here anymore. The store may look new and shiny on the exterior but upon closer inspection this place is a mess literally and figuratively. They never have all the products on the shelf. I’m not talking 1 week or 2 weeks without finding a specific item i’m talking consistently over a period of months have gone by were I cant get everything needed on one trip. Now I know this is bound to happen but when months go by and every shopping experience is ruined by either empty shelves, rude customer service or bland tasting food in the buffet area I know something needs to change with the staff? the training of Whole Food staff at this store? because my experiences in the San Diego & Orange County area Whole Foods Markets were far superior to this Meh place of business. So much hope but this store is not delivering a pleasant shopping experience

I have been a loyal customer of Whole Foods Markets for years. Having just purchased a home in Palm Springs, I’m very disappointed in the Palm Desert Store! Here are the store challenges: –It’s shockingly small size and selection. –Service counter staff does not make eye contact and they don’t even say, I will be with you in a moment. — They now offer self serve pizza, that’s kept warm by heating lamps, are you kidding me?! This is what you offer one of the most affluent communities in the country? Who is running the show here, I think it’s time for some serious change. This«new self serve concept» that WF Markets is serving up, will only ruin them! They are focusing too much on making deals and at the cost of customer service and quality!

Stopped by Friday for their Fish, chips and a beer special. It was amazing! Fish was fresh and fries were hot and crunchy. I dont think I have eaten anything here I would not have again. You really cant beat the prices and especially for the quality of the food!

This location get worse every time I go there. I emailed the corporate office and didn’t get a reply. Here’s some photos on last visit to the store. I see this on several visits a week. How would you rate it? The soup pictures were taken when I walked up I didn’t lift the lids. They were like that when I arrived. Neglected.

Usually this is one of my top whole foods locations along with the one in culver city, today just wasn’t their day. Furthermore they were not fully stocked full of nasty attitudes and unsanitary habits. Today it was a sequence of events that really got under my skin. First I went to the restaurant inside the store ordered some lunch, after my order was taken I’m waiting around and just so happen to glance over at the cook. He decides to rub his fingers across his nose never changed his gloves and continued to make food. There is certain etiquette to have when preparing others food and its called food safety. This comes first, should be taught during training and applied during the job. Don’t be lazy people WASHYOURHANDS! How hard can that be? Because of this I couldn’t stomach to purchase the food I ordered gross. Whole foods was on a mission today never seen them off their game like today I’m a regular here. Thirdly I look over in sushi one of the chefs was charging and texting on his phone. Do you know how many germs a cell phone carries??? And heading on his way to roll someone’s sushi. I’m just thinking to myself who hired these individuals… Thirdly I go over to where they make fresh oven baked pizza. One of the young ladies over the counter is digging deep in her ear for wax with her gloves that she’s been handling food with. But wait she’s not finished, after she decides to dig in her nose. When a customer points it out she’s humiliated in denial like she did nothing wrong and said«I haven’t touched any food yet» but its principal sweet heart you don’t do that around food. So she decides to wash her contaminated hands and had a nasty attitude while doing so. This really sucks that I have to leave this review at one of my favorite whole foods locations. I spend way too much money here to receive the type of treatment like I gotten today. Lastly as I’m walking out the store I figured maybe I’ll be safe purchasing a fresh squeezed juice. LOL why did I think that when this store has been on a roll today? Lady in the fresh juice section took out the trash and had no intention on washing hands and changing gloves. Due to everything that occurred today it will be a very long time before I return to this location.
