Drove from our home in Beaumont specifically for this store. Unilocal says hours are from 10 – 6. We got here at 415 and the store said it was closed until 430, or so I thought. 430 came along. Nothing. So it turns out I guess the employees take a 2 hour lunch. It’s funny cause they close at 6. So they are open from 10 – 4 then close till 530 and close at 6. I love the products, but will not be buying from here. I would much rather buy online from now on. Unprofessionalism at its finest.

I went to Art of Shaving for the Royal Haircut and Shave. Beatrice Aranza has to be one of the best barbers in the desert. Precision and expertise are on full display at her chair. This experience change how I get my hair cut and shave. First of all, above all its a great hair cut and shave. But, it comes with all of the amenities of men’s spa. I especially like the fact that they wash your hair after the cut, this way all of the fine hair cutting don’t stay in your hair and on your scalp. The haircut was a good ol’ fashion cut with straight razor finish. The shave, was an experience in and all of it owns. Of course it starts with the hot towel, but then there are several skin treatments along the way, and finishes up with«cool» towel to close your pores. Men, if you want to treat your self to an experience, go get the Royal Treatment at the Art of Shaving, it will change how you look at a haircut and shave.

I am growing my goatee longer and felt the need for a trim, better than I could do myself. The Art of Shaving Palm Desert and Master Barber, Beatriz Aranza, provided the professional expertise I was seeking. Being bald, I was expecting an experience that one would receive in a barber shop. Instead, I received a spa treatment for the face. From the moment I sat in the chair, Beatriz provided the gentle touch, care and attention to detail. She inquired as to what exactly what I wanted done and then asked for permission before tweaking areas that she felt would deliver the service I sought. From the trimming of my goatee, to the warm towel placed to prepare the skin for ointments in preparation for the exceptional shave, to the cooling towel and after shave balm, The Art of Shaving experience was superb. I look forward to returning again!

My husband was doing some research on «The Art Of Shaving» before we went in there. he was ready for something new. He has very sensitive skin and his hair grows fast and thick… and he was tired of the cheap razors cutting him and still not having a smooth shave. So when we went in, we kinda knew what he was looking for and the sales manager Tracey was AWESOME!!! she knew the product well and pulled the items we were already thinking about. She helped us put together the whole package(that saved us money) Later that night my husband tried it out… and he wasn’t used to the feel of the razor and wasn’t used to shaving a new way. so the first time wasn’t that great .but in 2 days he tied it again, and completely better feel for how to use the razor… and he has had«THE Softest, Closest Shave Since» I will be making an appt for him to get a Royal Shave soon… he deserves it(after all he pampers me all the time.) its his turn now… and I really liked the staff over there. We will be going back soon to royal shaves as well as continue to buy our products there.

The location at The Gardens on El Paseo is very new, so I can understand that there may have been some growing pains as reflected in some of the other reviews, but my Royal Shave experience was all that I hoped it would be. This isn’t just a shave, it’s a full facial grooming… eyebrows, sideburns, ears and back of the neck included. The experience is both relaxing and invigorating.

Took my husband here for«The Royal Shave.» First, the critique, the store had just gotten a shipment in that they were unloading. The only access to the storage room door was through the room he was getting his royal shave in. Everyone was nice but they were all constantly going in and out of the storage room to unload boxes. This made the shave WAY less relaxing than what it could have been. I’m not trying to sound high maintenance, it’s just that we never splurge on stuff like this so it would have been nice to fully enjoy the process without all the interruptions. As for the shave, he loved it. He said it felt really good and it made his face so incredibly smooth. He also really loved the neck shave and short shoulder massage at the end. I recommend going on a day with low traffic like during the week and making sure they haven’t gotten in any shipments.

Had a shave at the Art of Shaving in Beverly Hills(great), and looked forward to this one opening. Not the same experience, not even close. Never going back for a shave. However, I do use it for purchasing products.

My last haircut wasn’t so great and a new Art of Shaving just opened near me. $ 40 for a haircut! But I thought I’d splurge. Nice shop. The odd thing was that they did the hair cut and then the shampoo!? Plus they did not dry my hair afterward. So I left with a wet head. Plus the haircut isn’t quite right at the back. Anyone every had the shampoo last and not dried? Is this standard for the Art of Shaving?
