Pizzeria Tuscano

Driving down Hwy 19 one afternoon, I remembered reading about a new pizza restaurant opening up nearby. A short search landed me inside of Pizzeria Tuscano.
The building is substantially taken up by the big kitchen, with a couple of tables inside and outside. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu choices that looked very good, but my appetite was only enough for a slice. And when the large sign on the wall says «Giant Slices $ 2», I’m sold.
While the kind owner said he didn’t have any fresh slices available, he would be glad to bake one in about 10 minutes… excellent service. And in about 10 minutes, my Giant New York Style Slice (talk about truth in advertising!) arrived covered with mushroom, green pepper and onion. The thin crust was baked well, with substantial portions of tasty cheese and toppings that were fresh. Another nice touch was the table tray with oregano, garlic powder, & red pepper, and before I could use any of them I was asked if I would like fresh parmesan from the refrigerator. Ahhh, why can’t all pizza places keep the parmesan fresh instead of growing stale for weeks (and sometimes tastes like months) on the tables? Big points from me on that alone.
The value at Tuscano is very high… you could definitely fill up here for just a few bucks of slices, but you’d likely rather take home a whole pie for leftovers. I definitely want to check out the rest of the menu.

My husband and I decided to try this place opening day evening. We ate here before but it was under old owners. You can tell the New owners have spent a lot of time getting this place ready for the re opening. WOW! Looks Amazing, the Pizza Is Awesome, and the best thing Service, when was the last time you had good service? I know it has been a while for myself and my husband. We were greeted by the owners Steve and Dawn You can tell with these people really care about there new Pizza place. they were Glowing like they won the lotto. It was also Clean! And the place was packed with people and we still received good service. I would return again and tell all our friends family and co-​workers. I think we shall also plan our Grand daughters Birthday here. Prices are also reasonable! i hope the New Owners keep up this Great PLACE!
