Best bbq I’ve had in a long time, service was good, but the food was amazing I will be back.

Well I heard a lot about this place. I could not wait to try it. So we went and I was bummed. The brisket, pulled pork and chicken we really dry. Ribs had no flavor but they were better then the other 3. I felt the service could have been better. Our waitress acting like we were putting her out. So I do not think I would go back.

My fave BBQ place. Only downside is that I crave it most on Sunday’s when they’re closed :(our family gets catering from them all the time. They catered my bridal shower, gender reveal party, and many family get togethers. Love this place !

I’ll make this short and sweet — the ribs were greasy and fatty. Beans tasted canned and coleslaw watery. The pork nachos were pretty good but are only topped with cheese wiz, pork and jalapeños. It was very pricey for what you get but our server was very nice and attentive. Lastly, there were spray bottles of windex everywhere, and they use them to clean everything. Blue Windex is not a a sanitizer it’s made to clean windows. They were spraying it close to where we were eating, and all I could smell and taste was Windex!

BBQ really doesn’t get any better than The Pig! This is a great place to go if you are looking for a fun, laid back atmosphere.

Had ribs here last nite and got food poisoning. Ribs were undercooked, cold and chewed like raw hide. waitress was nowhere to be found. Ozona pig came highly recommended but was a major dissapointment

Take my word with a grain of salt as I’m from the midwest and haven’t had much bbq, but I know good food when I taste it. This place serves good food. I had a brisket plate and my girlfriend had a pulled pork plate. Both were delicious. Good enough, in fact, that I think it might have ruined Chicago bbq for me. It has a dive-bar feeling and the atmosphere is great. I’d gladly go back.

Holy Pig! This is some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had! I’m so glad it’s so close that I’ll be taking everyone who comes to visit, Here!

Slightly disappointed with our last visit to the place, usually a go to for good BBQ, however; with 30 – 45 minute ticket times and not much attention to the customer it’s hard to give this visit a 5 star review.

My family eats here frequently and we decided to use the ozona pig to cater our rehearsal dinner and it was the best decision. Bobby, the catering manager, was beyond wonderful. She helped me put the order together that best fit our needs. Her and her team set up the food and had it ready on time. The food was a big hit with everyone at rehearsal. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you come from the south and know what true BBQ should taste like, this is it folks. Thank you Bobby!

Have been a fan of Ozona Pig for a few years. Was introduced by a local from the surrounding neighborhood. As it isn’t really on the beaten path. However when you find it you will enjoy some of the best in Pinellas. I really enjoy their smoked turkeys during the holiday season. However there are so many great items on the menu. It is hard not to make a pig of yourself.

The pig is our favorite BBQ spot in Tampa bay. We have loved coming here over the last few years and recently used them for catering a party we had. They are just plain awesome! Affordable, friendly and just good food. Love the pig!

Incredible! Went here on a Thursday night and enjoyed a wonderful meal outside with my puppy and friends. The live music was great! If you are in the mood for a sandwich order The Captain with smoked cheddar instead of Swiss. Go crazy and substitute Mac and cheese for your side. You won’t be disappointed.

We eat at OZONAPIG often & tell others about it. We are Memphis BBQ lovers & very picky about our BBQ. The taste test is the meat — bare with no BBQ sauce– theirs is Fantastic. Delicious smoky flavor, not greasy and yet juicy. Perfect. We took another couple last night. We started with onion rings. Crisp, not greasy. Perfection. I got Pulled Pork, baked beans(fantastic!), slaw, deviled egg, Texas toast. Both our guests got the same but one got Garlic mashed potatoes instead of slaw. Hubby got BBQ sandwich, beans, slaw. Our friends loved it as much as we did. Plus locally owned and operated by Sweet people. A quaint little building like old time BBQ joints found all over the south. Wonderful food.

First of all, if you want good, legit BBQ, you need to come here. We have had the ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken wings, tamales and the bread pudding. Everything has always been great! I just wish they were open on Sunday’s. I’d be here weekly! You must get the tamales and the bread pudding. Unexpected greatness! Decent beer selection. The server was awesome!

Man we must have come on an off day as there was no way the food would result in these great reviews. $ 40.00 bucks for two people having a late lunch. Food was meh, the server talked up on how great the food was. We tried the tamales they were so dry and crusty they needed BBQ sauce to soften them. Hubby had brisket I had shrimp. Shrimp tasted of freezer burn. Brisket showed no smoke ring and was not that great. Canned overcooked greenbeans, soggy bread, even the hand cut fries were a disappointment. We will not be coming back.

By far the best cheese burger in the area! Consistently cooked to perfection. I don’t know how they do it, but the bacon is excellent and is not greasy. Add the onion rings and it’s the perfect meal. We’re looking forward to trying the ribeye. KEEPITUP O PIG!

Ozona is a very unique, hidden, not well known or understood, tiny town within the Tampa Bay area, filled with special places. You won’t find a chain restaurant here, ever! Only in Ozona… We decided to try Ozona Pig and we did enjoy a well-prepared BBQ meal complete with ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket plus deviled eggs, texas toast, beans, cole slaw, and mac & cheese. Sounds like enough food? You would be correct! The BBQ was very tender and moist and not overcooked or dry in the slightest. While the ribs and chicken had some seasoning, the overall flavor was not very smoky. The sauces were a bit underwhelming also. Hot was slightly warm but they had some bottled pepper sauce to spice things up a bit. The clientele were mostly wearing aged ball caps and ordering miller light while enjoying the 100% country music. Honestly, this isn’t my scene but perhaps it is yours?

Decided to try the ribs. Ugh. Gross. Burgers came out burned but tastey(to be fair, we did ask for well done) cheddar cheese is smoked too. My fault, I should’ve asked. But to me. It’s pretty bad. Easy to remove since it’s not melted anyway. To recap: Ribs — Horrible French Fries — Crap Can’t believe they’re in business at all. Never, ever going back. I still have that foul taste in my mouth… Ugh

I had initially visited«Ozona Pig»(no «the») at this same location, but apparently on certain nights of the week, Ozona Pig becomes THE Ozona Pig, a BBQ Gay Bar! I checked my girlfriend at the door and sat down next to a bunch of healthy looking gentlemen. We listened to a local band playing cover songs of Men at Work, Cher, and Barbara Streisand. The pulled pork was as good as always, and our server, Fawn, had a fabulous moustache! NOTE: The root beer on Gay Bar night at The Ozona Pig didn’t taste any different. 10⁄10 would visit again! Does NOT look like a gay bar from the outside, but it’s VERY hopping for the Palm Harbor gay community inside. And if you read this far, there is no Ozona Pig Gay Bar at this location. Someone has created a duplicate entry for The Ozona Pig.
