Very chill ambiance and friendly. Quality ingredients, organic, supports local. Excellent vibes and outdoor patio area. Enjoyed refreshing hibiscus wine from sons and daughters. Also has beer wine and cheese making kits and offers knowledgeable advice.

The guys who work here(Dane and Cory) are very knowledgeable and willing to help with your brewing questions or a suggestion on a good pour. This is more of a locals and beer lover’s joint, so if you like macros only, better check the ‘tude at the door. Their Flemish and Belgian selections are noteworthy, and the Stone offerings fill the top section of the middle fridge… on tapping nights the joint fills up and the back section opens. Make sure to say hello to Amanda.

Good selection, but very overpriced. I picked up some ingredients for brewing a few days ago and the prices are more expensive than any other LHBS I’ve ever been to. $ 1.75 for 2 Row, $ 9 for liquid yeast, and $ 3 an ounce for hops are the reason I won’t be back here unless I have a brewing emergency. The Funky Buddha in Boca has a much smaller selection but much better prices. Also charges a $ 3 fee for Amex cards.

my favorite craft beer place! Staff are just like family. good selection of beers in bottle and on tap. Great spot to hang out on weekends and just a relaxing place to go have a brew or two after a hard day’s work.

The secret tiki hut that no one knows about… well, a lot of people don’t know about. When we came here for a birthday gathering, we found out what this place is about. This depot is simply a homebrew store and they probably have any beer imaginable there. I can’t speak for the beer, but I can say that the cider is out of this world. Amanda was super on offering which we would like.

Of course BX Beer Depot is a place where you can buy brewing supplies and good beer, but this particular review is more focused on the tiki bar in the back. This is one of my favorite places to relax and have a delicious craft beer, without any of the annoyances that come with trying to go drink at some crowded frat-boy bar on a Friday night. This place is completely B.S.-free. The bartenders/servers are all extremely nice and really make you feel at home. There’s plenty of seating and the atmosphere is completely welcoming and unpretentious. You really feel like you’re surrounded by good people who are all here for the same reason: to spend time with great friends and enjoy some exceptional brews. They sometimes have live music, but it’s never obnoxious or overly loud like it can be in some other places. Their selection of beers on tap constantly rotates, but it’s always varied enough to ensure that you’ll find something to suit your tastes every time. Cheers!

I have nothing bad to say about BX. It’s small, it’s here for you, and it fells like home. The owner is a female, that alone should be a reason to support this institution. While some of the brews are a dollar or two more than at places like Total Wine, recall, you are supporting a local female entrepreneur here. They are insanely helpful if brewing is your thing. Don’t be in a hurry when you go here. Grab a beer from the fridge and look and listen. Lots to be learned from the minds that frequent.

BX Beer Depot is your one stop shop for all things beer related! Homebrewing equipment and supplies(not to mention kick-ass«how-to» classes!), delicious craft beer in bottles or kegs, and an awesome tiki bar out back that has live music and brews on a friday night. The staff are all really knowledgable and always ready to convert the new beer drinkers to the wonderful world of non-macro beer!

As someone who is new to the homebrewing scene, this was a great place to visit! When my wife and I drove up, admittedly our first impression was«looks kind of sketchy.» But being the types to not judge a book by its cover, we went in. Glad we did! When we walked in the first thing I saw was the bins of grain and one of the employees milling them for a customer. We were greeted by Noël, who took very good care of us. Every question I had(which were A LOT) he gave us very clear, consise answers. He even gave me a few pointers on what I should do for my first brew. He showed us around the shop and told us about the classes that they offer. Then he took us out back to there outside tiki bar where we enjoyed some craft brews. I had a Sierra Nevada IPA and my wife had a stout. Delicious! I ended up buying a few supplies and a Belgian beer kit. I’m looking forward to brewing the beer and going back to take a class. I will be a regular here!

I bought my first homebrew kit from BX and while I’ve been able to find everything that I needed, the quality, service, and price are on the sub-par side of life. It’s the only homebrew store(that I know of in South Florida), so when you really need an extra batch of yeast, where else do you go besides overnighting from an internet retailer? They have what you need to make a decent batch of beer, but I would not recommend due to the fact that: Smoking in a store that houses your ingredients /flammable CO2 is not necessarily what everyone is looking for, nor the dogs that randomly roam the store as well. While the dogs are nice, they dont necessarily need to be in a homebrew store. I do enjoy the fact that they do a decent job of promoting the craft beer scene in south florida: Tiki Bar tastings in the back of the store, craft beer kegs to go, an okay bottle selection, homebrew competitions, and pour staff at local festivals: best damn brew review, jupiter craft beer fest. It’s a decent store, but not necessarily my first choice when it comes to quality and price.

If you like craft beer(which I’m an enthusiast), and want a great selection, or a Keg for your next event, this is reason alone to visit BX. BUTWAIT, THERE’s MORE! The friendly and knowledgeable staff also provide the service of teaching you how to Make Beer(or wine), and sell you everything you need to get started(and excel). Not to mention tastings and growlers(gallon or 32 ounce jugs) of craft beer on tap they sell to go. We are regulars there, not only for the rare gem they are in south Florida, but they’ve become friends. There is no other place like this. Oh and Friday nights, live music, beer on tap, and occasionally some nice bites to eat!
