I wish they had no star .If you love your animals stay far away from this place their staff is incompetent their hours of operations and turnover of vets is beyond ridiculous and their wellness plans are a huge rips off. I am so angry at how they have treated me that I filed a complaint with the BBB after spending hours on the phone with their advocacy teams their medical director in cochella valley and others. Do not under any circumstances use this hospital if you love your pets. Feel free to contact for further information

I bought the plan for my two cats, and I am glad I did. They call me to remind me that they need appointments and the vets and staff have always been super friendly, and totally loved on my kids. (What’s not to love though, they’re gorgeous! ;) There does seem to be a rotating pool of vets, but each one has been very thorough, and loving. I really like the place.

Please do not accept or buy into the Wellness plan. My experience was terrible!!! When I first signed up I asked what the cancellation process was and they told me that canceling was easy and would just have to call the corporate office and I would not be responsible for the remainder of the balance or why else would I have signed up for a $ 550 plan. After my first visit I decided I did not want to continue with the plan and get referred to corporate to cancel. When I called their office they said sure you can cancel but you’re remaining balance is $ 350 which is the equivalent of the visit. Really? each visit has a retail value of $ 350+ but yet you charge $ 550. They definitely will leave this out of the conversation when you are signing up. Corporate is telling me that I have to call the regional Banfield where I went and ask the manager to write a letter saying that what I am saying is true. Really? In what world is the manager going to admit any misleading tactics. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!

This was by far the worst vet I have ever encountered didn’t even bother looking at my dogs legs just tried to up the bill to $ 900 I would not recommend you see her

This is an updated review as I am very disappointed in the vet’s inability to help my dog after numerous visits and medication after medication. I will be canceling and going to a different vet in the desert.
My dog Harper Lee is having issues with mites and all they keep doing is giving her the same medication which is NOT working as evidenced by her bloody chin, red ears and scabs on her body. It is horrible to see your dog suffer and I have gone there numerous times to get help. Recently I gave her a home remedy bath, this helped but I am still at a loss to help her completely stop itching. If anyone knows a good vet with expertise in this issue, let me know.

Banfield Pet Clinic in Palm Springs on Ramon Road ran by Dr. Shannon Janda and her trusty accomplice Christine at the front desk are pathetically incompetent and not qualified to go near animals. Thank you for excessively overcharging, mishandling my dog, and providing a rabies certificate with the wrong name and owner and refusing to rectify it. all to the tune of 385.00 I will get back from you.

When I brought my little doggie in after he fell off the bed and broke his leg, i wasn’t sure what to expect. Everyone is very nice. I liked Dr Janda a lot. Took good care of my baby and helpful and professional.

Dr. Janda is the best! She saved our cats life. If it wasn’t for her and her excellent staff he would not have survived the night. Even the follow up care was superb. I won’t take my animals to see anyone else.

I really like this place. It’s handy in that it’s right at the back of my favorite PetSmart store, and the staff is friendly and nice. They have gotten me in quickly when I needed an appointment, and they seem to care about me and the pets. One time when I had to wait a long time for a Rabies certificate, it was because they were dealing with a pet emergency where the pet got hit by a car! I couldn’t help thinking that I was so glad I was waiting so that her pet could be taken right away.

I am providing an update to the my review. I was contacted immediately by management at Banfield Pet Hospital regarding my Unilocal review and online comment. They offered to speak to me over the phone to discuss the matter. I spoke to Carrie, the Manager at Banfield Pet Hospital — Palm Springs, who acknowledge there were some things they could improve. I was assured that they do their best efforts not misguide pet owners or provide them false information. I also was explained the hospital’s policy for taking the pet to the back room to perform services. They have two main reasons for this, which are: 1) Studies show that 9 out of 10 pets behave better during health procedures when they are away from their owners and 2) The back room is where the equipment is location. In addition, I was reassured they try to do as much as possible in the patient room with you. But we as pet owners are free to ask anything to the vet and she will be as accommodating as reasonable.
So far my dog has seen Dr. Janda and her staff at Banfield several times now since his injury. He has received excellent care and I can’t complain about the services they provided. The clinic does get very popular, which should say something about their credibility. I will admit the price of the Wellness Plan can be steep depending on the option you choose. But if you can fully afforded, I would say go for it. At first, I was shock with the price but I feel it has begun to pay off. For example, the unlimited office visits are a big perk. This is has been extremely helpful for my wallet as my pet has gone for two injury check-​ups after the initial visit. I can say that I have been fully satisfied with their service. They are open seven days a week which can be really convenient.
If you have any questions regarding their service, I will be more than glad to provide honest answers about my experience with them. But I would recommend them :)

I am writing on behalf of a relative who is now grieving the loss of her beloved dog. For several months she was concerned over her dog’s issues with breathing, a swollen belly, and being thirsty and huffing all the time. Relative asked if it was allergies but was told the dog was «too fat» and needed to lose weight and be put on thyroid meds. After a modified diet and losing 10 pounds, the dog was still huffing and hot. Relative went back for another visit and was told to do an 8 hour observation test for Cushing Disease to address the swollen belly. Never was there a suggestion of an xray or bloodwork to be done to examine the belly. After the 8 hour test, relative was told the dog did not have Cushings and was sent home with no additional plan or assistance. The next day, she called to ask to bring dog in for more evaluation and was told «no» and that they didn’t have an appointment for a week because they were too busy. Relative finally decided to go for a second opinion with another vet and within hours the blood and xray showed a massive cancerous stomach tumor and no blood flowing through the dog’s body. She wasn’t hot or fat or allergic — she had a giant unfound tumor pressing on her insides! Ultimately dog was put down to save her from any additional suffering with this un-​treatable tumor.
Family is disgusted and devastated by the total lack of attention to detail and communication. Upon complaining to Banfield was told that specific vet had been fired. But this does not bring the dog back!
Stay away!!!

I have never written a review about anything in general, but I felt compelled enough to write one after my horrendous experience with this clinic. My elderly cat needed an emergency anema one Sunday afternoon. He was seen, treated, diagnosed also with chronic arthritis in his Hine legs as well from an X-​ray. I waited approximately a week to give him time to recover. His bowel movements had returned to normal but I still was concerned with his back legs due in part because he was straining to go to the bathroom prior to anema, on top of the arthritic pain. Somehow someway after the anemia, his arthritis issues had become more apparent and exposed. Trouble walking etc. I then requested that the facilitating Dr who saw my cat and diagnosised him previously with the chronic arthritic pain to prescribe him a medicine for this. My response was horrible. After a few days and messages I received word that only way for him to be prescribed anything is for me to bring him in again. I found this ridiculous due in part because they had seen him just weeks before. This clinic has extremely unhelpful staff and flat out are in it to charge you as much as possible. I. E. (there Care Package). The person I spoke to said that only way for me to get pain meds for my cat was for him to be seen once again as stated as well as a blood test. For those who don’t know, a blood test is not cheap, although I would have been open to it. The anema ordeal was quite expensive, as well as his follow-​up a week later. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. WARNING. YOU’LL BE OVERCHARGED AND WON’T HELP YOUR FOUR LEGGED LOVED ONE. HIGHLY RECOMMED VCA in Palm Springs or ANIMAL SAMARITANS in Thousand Palms. I really hope this review helps anyone. I’ve already reported this situation and I would encourage anyone with similar experiences do the same. Thank you

Dr. Drenning and Dr. Janda are one of the best if not they best veterinarians I have taken my beloved dog (Lucy) too :)
They truly care about the well-​being of the animals and owners. Wish all vets were like them :)
All nurses are very helpful and always willing to make a hard process easy.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED PETS TO THIS BUSINESS
one of my pets suposidly had a teeth cleaning at this location I was told he was fine returned a week later and was told he was fine .
due to his trouble eating and bad breath I went to Carter animal Hospital with my pet.
Banfield had lyed to me my pet had puss on his teeth, swolen gums bleeding in the rear, his teeth were in terible condition this was 3 – 4 weeks after the socalled teeth cleaning from Banfielld.
I had his dental work done by Carter’s doctor who was shocked and apalled that an other vet would have left my dogs dental situation continue .
I had there «wellness plan» witch i found out allowed Banfield to charge some times double the rate of other legitimate hospials for standard testing and exrays ect.
Banfield Company billed me for there hole wellness program by claiming that the services they renderd were equial to the sevices recived at there expanded rate when i asked to cancil there plan.
this is a rip off company there out to make as much money as possible with no care for your pets health only money !!!

I have been going to banfield for a few months. They convinced me to buy the wellness plan, I did and I wish I hadn’t. Every time you go in they over charge and find more charges so that you aren’t saving anything, I feel you are just paying more. After the year of payments, I will definitely find a new Vet.

We had to see the vet while on vacation because our dog refused to eat. It turned out to be bad news, but Dr. Drenning at Banfield Vet Hospital has been attentive, empathetic, and kind. We wish we could take her with us to see our dog through the end of her life back at home.
