See my prior review for history. I just want to update you all on what eventually happened. I kept getting the run around over the phone and they basically told me they had a lobby full of people they had to attend to before they could deal with the patients over the phone. So I immediately hung up and drove to the office. I arrived less than 10 minutes after she told me they had a lobby full of people and when I walked in there was literally not one person waiting! I’ve never seen an empty urgent room lobby before until that evening. I called the receptionist out for being a liar and demanded my lab results and then I left. I will never go back.

Came in for an eye infection. Was interviewed hurriedly by a not so nice nurse. Seen by a MD but was given a wrong DX&prescribed a med. not appropriate for my DX. If I did not seek immediate treatment I would be blind by now. This is a serious issue. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! WILL NOT COME BACK EVER!

Mark checked vitals and made sure Dad’s pacemaker was functioning properly. Apparently, the pacemaker has been doing its job because Dad wants to go 4 wheeling after we get out of here…

Had to go to an instant care for a terrible Bronchial infection and went to this one. Completely redone office and back patient rooms. Now a very comprehensive medical treatment office. Dr Crecilius
was very thorough and concerned, staff is now «the»
best ever. Thank you so much for all the great care! I won’t ever hesitate to visit this office.

Desert Oasis is well run and was able to take care of all my healthcare needs. Doctors are caring and knowledgable, they were willing to investigate why I was so sick. They listened to my complaints and worked with me to diagnosis what was going on; instead of just referring me to someone else.

Palm Desert Office — 9÷12÷2015:
Nurse attempted to draw blood, he had torn off the tip of the glove at a finger tip and when I saw this I asked him to re-​sterilize the area he refused. So I told him to stop and that I was leaving immediately. I suspect this nurse violated established procedures and OHSA regulations.
I will avoid this office in the future, I don’t want to chance a systemic infection due to a contaminated blood draw site.

Very efficient clinic with great people. Everyone is very friendly and things move quickly.

The doctors were very thorough and kind. The whole staff was very helpful. They helped me find my problem better than going to regular doctor. I would recommend them.

I’ve taken my daughter here several times and I’m very satisfied with this immediate care office. We are always seen in a timely manner. The doctors and staff are always friendly to my daughter too, which is a big plus because my daughter often get anxiety when seeing a doctor.

Urgent care center was good but were sent to collections after we had paid. Appears to have been mistake.

One of the best Urgent care facilities I have ever visited! The Receptionist Nurse, and Doctor were very caring and helpful, they did all they could to relieve my pain. I definitely would recommend this Facility!

I only give this facility two stars because there are a few good staff members who shouldn’t be under the general umbrella of this Urgent Care Center.
The facility is not clean, and it is old… This might be overlooked if the service was stellar, but, this was not the case…
Not sure why my son was completely denied the option to have a liquid form of medication. Not sure why they would give a child a medicine they cannot swallow. Not sure why a judgment was made about a child who should swallow pills…
When we called our pediatrician back home they were mortified by the treatment we received at this facility. They wanted the name to share this info with others…
Unusual experience. Bottom line we had to have our pediatrician call in the meds we should’ve been prescribed.
Pick another urgent care center. Don’t go here…

Although I live in Yucca valley, CA, DOHC in Palm Springs insists that I receive physical therapy in Palm Springs, not in Yucca Valley. Their reason: «Because your PCP is in Palm Springs.» There is an excellent PT clinic in Yucca Valley, CA, but I am not to receive PT there. DOHC’s referral employee argued this was their policy and I had to accept it. I asked for a copy of their written policy. «We don’t have it in writing, and I won’t discuss it with you any further», she said and hung up the phone. By her «logic», I am to drive about 80 miles (R/​T) with a calcified shoulder to Palm Springs for physical therapy !
I have been dealing with DOHC for several years. HMO insurances are mostly contracted with DOHC unfortunately. In Yucca Valley, we don’t have PPO’s or Kaiser. We are quite limited on choices. DOHC, aware of this limitation, obviously abuses its territorial power. I encourage everybody who deals with DOHC to speak up, make posts here, inform the insurance regardless the outcome, and contact officials with investigative authority over DOHC and report your experience. Not doing anything means letting DOHC get away with their poor services at our health’s expense. Changes come only when voices are heard.

Great Urgent Care Center! I was cared for in a speedy, friendly, and efficient manner. Would recommend this facility to everyone!

I have been with Desert Oasis Healthcare for about two years and I find the Urgent care, the Primary Care and the referrals EXCELLENT. Am I yelling? YES I AM. I’m soo sorry to see such negative comments from some people because I have seen nothing but expanding, professional service from both the administrative staff, reception and professionals that I am thankful I found Desert Oasis. If you are wondering if my rating of them is from very limited experience let me share with you a little of my health needs. I have advanced COPD and have visited Urgent Care on El Cielo at least 6 – 7 times over the past two years for flareups and other respiratory complications and ALWAYS had my urgent needs condition addressed and managed with both immediate care and referral at times to other services such as x-​ray or pulmonology. This year I went to urgent care for a condition of my knee giving out as I walked. I was referred for an MRI and a orthopedic specialist and two weeks later had tendon repair surgery on Valentine’s Day and then for Physical Therapy for 2+ months and now all is A-​OK. Two months ago I was diagnosed as needing Aortic Valve replacement. I won’t narrate all that occurred but suffice it to say that I had Open Heart Surgery one month ago, am recovering very well and feel that the whole process was handled totally, Medically & Professionally from start to today. I will be AS REFERRED by Desert Oasis joining a Cardiac Rehabilitation program next month after I heal enough to participate. ALL DIAGNOSED, COVERED, REFERRED and done by Desert Oasis. After one week recovery in the hospital I experienced atrial fibrillation, went immediately to Urgent care. They Stabilized me and then ordered an ambulance to have me taken to Desert Regional Hospital Emergency room where I was admitted for another week of treatment for this complication and since then released. I was, needless to say but I’m going to anyway, very grateful to Desert Oasis Healthcare Urgent care for Urgent and then the Emergency care I needed AND GOT! I later developed a blood clot in my arm and infection in my lungs. These also have been addressed to my satisfaction. So. I give Desert Oasis Healthcare 5+++ stars and, while accepting that it is made up of human faulty at times beings, that is a healthcare service I m so very glad to be a part of today!

I visited the urgent care in Palm Desert and had a wonderful experience. Fast, friendly, efficient. I have seen my primary care doctor Biljana Kostic several times and I think she is one of the best doctors I have seen in a very long time. Thorough, professional, caring. The health care advocates have been amazing too. I would give them all five stars. Sadly, the two stars comes from the administrative offices — particularly referrals. While on medical leave my employer cancelled my insurance and I had to switch to COBRA. What a nightmare. Healthnet says I’m covered — a week later DOH still says I’m not. They won’t call Healthnet. I have to call Healthnet and ask Healthnet to call THEM. In the meantime a specialist appointment that took me five weeks to get was cancelled pending confirmation from DOH that I was covered. Yes, five weeks. Cancelled. Still waiting to reschedule.

I’ve never had a problem at this Urgent Care. In fact, they know me by name, I’m there so often. Experiences are what you make if them. If you go in with a crappy attitude, you prolky will receive the same.

Worst of the worst. Expect refills to take a week, don’t expect to talk to a «nurse», they are mostly weakly trained, low paid, pissed-​off medical assistants. No one answers the phone in individual MD’s back offices, always voice mail. Don’t expect lab results or a letter. The MDs are faintly competent. Poor follow up, rude condensing managers. Honestly, there’s not one good positive. Having to deal with referrals is hazardous to your health.

Since I began health care and managed for myself, I have never seen BAD SERVICE relative appointments for both Primary and Specialty Care…7 Weeks to see your doctor, and 2 – 3 months for specialty care, Mine was for Dermatology. I am so frustrated dealing with these people, that I would sometimes prefer not to use their services. I am canceling my service with this outfit and moving onto Kaiser

This program tells you they will do «all they can» to help you, but instead send you around the block until you get too tired to continue.
I have a Proximal Torn Bicep with needs surgery to repair within 3 – 4 weeks.
Inter Valley Health Plan/​Desert Oasis Healthcare WASTED 3 months of possible repair time by sending me to places that refuse surgery and they knew it.
This is NOT a reliable Insurance company and will NOT provide anything other than your prescription deliveries. Don’t expect them to do anything, if an injury occurs and you really need help.
My fingers are crossed to try and stop my bicep from going into Atrophy and get it repaired… in 3 weeks when my Medicare kicks back in.
