PS Buzz Trolley

Took it once. Rode approximately eight blocks and then the «trolley» ended up dead on the side of the road for 20 – 30 minutes while the driver and another guy tinkered under the hood. I could have walked faster. Totally symbolic of Palm Springs, which is to over-​promise grandiose things and then have things not turn out right. Another unnecessary Measure J boondoggle brought to you by the City of Palm Springs.

No fifth start bc as others have mentioned, the one love map and schedule are impossible to use. It’s a cold 15 minutes on a dessert night in January. One would kinder at the bay/​room longer if there was a heads up.
Otherwise, it’s all good:
Free transportation!?! Come on people, I can walk real good but it’s a long way to every tiki bar in town! And I don’t want to drive on vacation. Or drunk.
It’s a great way to get a look at the demographic visiting & living here.

Great way to get into Palm Springs. Headed out its awful. The trolly sits near Las Conseluas for way too long. Take it to Palm Springs but Über out of Palm Springs.

I’m very glad they have this shuttle in Palm Springs, downtown area. It’s very helpful, it’s new– since Dec. 2014. Cute design, clean, free.
But there’s room for improvement. The map needs to be better, more clear for visitors. To really guide us toward the stops. We had to ask at the main desk at the hotel for the nearest Buzz stop, and I had the map and studied that already. I’m great w. maps, by the way.
Palm Springs has a strange geography, so the drivers need to me more helpful, they need a good voice-​over on the bus to announce stations.
We also had some adventures while we took the bus from hotel area to downtown (10 minutes max. drive to downtown and back) for dinner. On the way there, there was a guy, strange dude who hassled everyone and me in particular. The driver didn’t do anything about him! Otherwise, everyone on the bus was decent.
The Buzz stops near hotels, it shows up from 15 to 15 minutes all year around. Thursdays through Saturdays, from 11 am — 1 pm.
Also, on the way back, the driver was chatty w other tourists and we had to interrupt their conversation to ask him to stop where we needed to get off. The route back he took was strange and since he was that chatty we found out he just moved to Palm Springs a few months ago. So that’s who you hire for a shuttle to drive tourists around?
Great idea, helpful to have the Buzz whizzing around, but it needs improvements.

Tried out the BUZZ this last weekend — was so excited to hear about this great way to travel around town. Super short waits and clean and air conditioned! I agree with the previous review from ⁶⁄₂₆ — one driver was very unfriendly and we weren’t sure where the stop was — and he drove like a maniac. Our other driver (female) was incredibly friendly and helpful — and this was at 1am! She was a rock star! As a side note to the BUZZ — the app needs a little help — it was really confusing and I ended up just using your great map. Love love love this option and it is a great addition to an already amazing town.

A great way to get around town, for FREE! Operates Thu-​Sun, air conditioned and just awesome.
My only complaint, some of the drivers not very friendly or just jaded. Last week I specifically told the driver where I was getting off. Upon arrival he continued driving without stopping. I asked if he could stop. He said he would have stopped if I would have let him know … ??? Today upon arriving to my destination I was trying to get information about stops in general, the driver completely ignored me. Even as I thanked him for the ride while I was getting off the bus, there was no «you’re welcome» or anything, no response whatsoever.
Overall service is good, just keep interaction levels with drivers to a minimum.

It’s a fast, free and convenient way to get around Palm Springs. I’m a fan!
The BUZZ shuttle is a great transportation option for many of Palm Springs Downtown hotels, restaurants, sightseeing and shopping locations.
