We love this place. We have stayed here several times and love how quaint and quite this place is. Not only is the exterior, mid century modern, but the rooms are decorated in that era. Each room even has a record player and the front desk has a good collection of vinyls. There is a continental breakfast next to the pool and the mini pool area kitchen always has pops, juice, water, coffee available. The staff and owners are great. The next best thing is the 2 block walk to the main shopping and restaurant area in down town Palm Springs.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Pismo Beach, CA
We stay in the Hideaway every time we go to Palm Springs, and it’s one of the most enjoyable things about the entire city for us. It’s an ultra-stylish, ultra-quiet retreat just 5 minutes’ walk from the Palm Canyon drive restaurants and shopping. As noted in other reviews, the Hideaway is meant for a particular kind of traveler who enjoys the experience of staying in their hotel and relaxing, and maybe socializing with other guests at the pool or at the Orbitini cocktail hour at the sister property the Orbit In just down the street. We always choose the Dino’s Den room because it has a huge sitting area with enormous windows overlooking the pool, perfect for lounging with a book while listening to mid-century modern appropriate Frank Sinatra albums. There’s a kitchenette(a remnant of its late-1940s «motor court» days) but we’ve never used it; why would you when there are so many excellent restaurants nearby? We also love the friendly, personalized service. Bill and Elaine who manage the place feel more like friends than employees, and we always count on them for recommendations of places to eat and visit. I can’t say enough great things about the Hideaway.
