Definitely a nice little shop. We just went for ice cream, but they have hot dogs, burgers, and chicken sandwiches as well. I’d like to go back and try those sometime as well. The ice cream was good and service was very friendly.

Banana Split $ 6.95 made with 3 choices of ice crème and 3 toppings with whip crème and a cherry. Only thing which would have made this MUCH better was to serve it with two METAL spoons! Service outstanding. Should have wet ones on counter for folks.

This is my favorite place for ice cream. Ever. I am in love with the location and how cozy this little shop makes me feel. I would give 5 stars, but I wasn’t all that«cozied» by the owner. She insulted me personally and some of my peers have told me they have experienced the same thing. Great ice cream, and(mostly) great staff. I wish I could give this place 5 stars, because the locally made ice cream is awesome. However, the management is unfortunately not as «warming» as the actual shop.

Top notch small town ice cream shop. Great grub, super friendly folks and plenty of seating. Ice cream always makes me thirsty and they accommodate this with a drinking fountain with FREE water. Been here before and will be back again. I always leave completely satisfied.

If you are even close to Palmer Lake you need to make sure you get there for the best ice cream, EVER! This is just a little place, but it has the feel of a small town business that cares about the community and their customers. They offer some great hot dogs, soup, chili, sandwiches, etc, but the STAR is their ice cream… made right in Colorado Springs. The ice cream is full of flavor… if you order rocky road it will be filled with marshmallows and walnuts… YUMMY!

Get the apple pie! Ala mode. Good times even in the dead of winter. The owner is really nice. Check out the art in the back, and see the Palmer Lake star.(In the winter, after Thanksgiving) Best flavors are available, like cappuccino and chocolate chip cookie dough.

This is 5 stars for what it is, a small home made ice cream and sandwich place. YOU go in an old stone building, walk up to the counter and order your sandwich or ice cream. The ice cream is home made and excellent. there are a lot more choices for ice cream than the tubs you can see behind the counter. The list of additional flavors is at the end of the line near the register and you don’t notice it until you have made your choice from the flavors that are visible in the tubs. Be advised of the additional choices.

The ambiance, the hand scooped ice cream, and the friendly service make this a must visit spot in Palmer Lake. Don’t worry if you see a long line. They have friendly service that can whip through a line of a couple baseball teams in no time. Just slow down and enjoy the moment with your loved ones.

Great local place for homemade ice cream and decent unpretentious lunches. Nice place to take the kids on a summer afternoon after a day by the pool or hiking. The ice cream is very good, with more than 20 flavors available. None of that soft-served foolishness; thfabulousis is real, hardy, hand-scooped ice cream. I’ve stopped here a number of times during long bike rides(~65miles) to recharge, usually choosing a high-caloric, easy to eat delicacy like an ice cream shake. They to a great job. Most recently, I had a pistachio ice cream scoop that was fabulous. They use real pistachios not other cheaper nuts like almonds. I was also a pleasantly natural light green rather than the usual technicolor green-food color induced color.

We came here twice while visiting Palmer Lake in May. The ice cream flavors were delicious(I went with several folks and everyone loved their flavor choice). It also has a great atmosphere of the home-town type, and the house is, surprise!, made of rock and neat to see in and of itself. We loved it and I would totally recommend it. One parting note, stick to your favorite flavors and deny the urge to order the ice cream nachos. The scoops were quite small, and very soon(even though there were two people eating it) it was a mixture of six milk flavors combined with various topping flavors. Of course, if that’s what you’re after… My rating system(for the curious): Five Stars — Fantastic. I’d go often if I could. Four Stars — Really good. It’s likely I’ll return. Three Stars — Good, but I won’t seek it out for a return visit. Two Stars — I won’t go again. This could be due to food, price, atmosphere, whatever. One Star — I won’t go again and I suggest everyone follow suit.

This place Rocks! Get the locals feel, with great ice cream in a friendly package. If you have kids under four, they serve a great kid’s cone that shows you the heart in this old stone building. The ice cream for the rest of us is fabulous, with the Mango sorbet, or the various coffee flavored ice creams topping my list. Meander across the street and take a walk around the lake with your loved ones and some sweets!
