I have two ponds in my backyard both of which I built myself. Five Star was a very helpful resource in terms of equipment and material. I purchased the liners, hoses, and pumps from them. The staff assigned to this department is knowledgeable and helpful. I recently had to replace a pump due to a problem outside of anyone’s control. When I got the pump home I realized I’d purchased one that was undersized in terms of GPH. Not only was it easy to return but I was able to purchase the exact pump I needed that they had ‘used’ for a sweet discount. They are good folks, and it’s worth the drive from Springfield. They also have plants and flowers etc. One negative thing; a few years ago I bought a water plant there for one of my ponds. The thing was/is evil. It invaded the whole pond with runners under rocks and through the water and it choked out the bog area. Even though I’d gotten rid of 95% of it, chutes still continue to pop up. I refuse to move out all the field stone to try to ‘get it all’. Live and learn(to research before you drop it in the water.)
