Claude’s Creamery

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t busy but customer service was poor. The server lacked enthusiasm and the Ice Cream was just ok. The layout of the creamery does not flow well. The best part of the visit was sitting under the umbrella on the beautiful patio. I’m not sure if we would visit this place again, it was a bit of a disappointment.

My wife and I stopped here last night before we hit the Mahoning Valley Drive-​In. My wife initially considered the superman flavor but was turned off by the weird combo of banana & cherry so she settled with Mint Chocolate Chip Moose Tracks and I gave a go with the oddly titled «Something like Swifty Sneakers» (which was a creamy white chocolate ice cream with chunks of caramel and chocolate inside) I can’t remember the actual flavor name but it did have sneakers in it LOL. The Moose tracks tasted exactly like Mint Chocolate chip. perhaps the only difference is that the Chips were crumbled specks and not chunks? My wife was disappointed. I also didn’t much care for the not exactly uniform size of small, seemed like my wife got more than I did. It was good tasty ice cream and I would consider coming back when I am in Palmerton but not my top spot for Ice Cream.

Stood under the order here sign at the hotdog end and watched many ice-​cream customers get served before us as one of the three employees avoids eye contact with us. After being fed up, I approached one of the employees and he said it is all one line. Why didn’t anyone say anything to us? I left hungry. The worst part was, it was my birthday.

I give Claude’s Creamery a 2 star rating just because my boyfriend and I discovered this little ice cream shop last winter. It became our place to go almost once a week. Last couple times we went the not only did they raise the prices but the sundae’s got smaller and the ice cream portions were not up to par. Needless to say we haven’t been back in months.
Valentines day we decided to go for ice cream at Claude’s. Bad mistake! One person on staff (on Valentine’s Day) the place was pretty full the girl behind the counter looking flustered and annoyed took our order of 2 banana splits and proceeds to make them. The chocolate ice cream was completely empty but she scooped the container trying to get the last morsels of it for our sundaes, it was a runny disgusting mess. I asked her to use vanilla instead for mine she ignored me and continued scraping this empty container. I finally got her attention and made her remake mine with vanilla ice cream instead of the chocolate. She remade my sundae and they were okay not the best. As we sat down to eat the employee left and went down stairs and came up with fresh chocolate ice cream! She couldn’t do that for us we would of waited the minute it took here to do that for a proper split. My boyfriend claimed his cherries were bad. Mine were fine I think. We will not be back for a long time if ever!

A wonderful spot for Ice Cream lovers and also to bring your children or grandchildren all you see are smiles when people are hanging outside eating ice cream and the ice cream cakes and pies are really good. Make it a point to stop and try this out you will not be sorry

This is a very nice local ice cream joint, I do not think that they serve other creamery’s ice cream. The flavors seem too unique. The price is right and best of all they have a walk up window out on the street. My only real criticism is that it is really cramped inside.
