Simply Something

Was doing some downtown shopping in one of my favorite small towns for that sort of thing — Palmerton PA. Not a huge number of food options in town, so we decided to try Simply Something. We were the only patrons in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, which was a little surprising. It is a family run business, with the owner doing the cooking. One of her daughters was the server.
Ordered breakfast even though it was the afternoon. Portions were LARGE, and presentation was excellent, certainly fancier than what I would expect for breakfast! Nice, thick bread for the toast. Eggs were maybe a touch overcooked.
Place was clean, and obviously the owner cares and takes pride in it. Was very friendly and sociable, but they weren’t busy at the time. She said they had been much busier earlier in the day. The decorations are a little eclectic, but overall it is warm and friendly. It feels a lot closer to a sit-​down restaurant than a neighborhood sandwich shop, which is a nice change. Will certainly be back next time I’m in the area and hungry!

Not a fan!
Although the décor was pleasant and the presentation of food was enticing, the service was terrible. Our server was downright cranky and it seemed like we were posing an imposition on her although there was only one other table occupied. My soup was served cold and the waitress never came back to check on her table. When I finally got her attention she removed the soup without any words or eye contact.
No apologies were given. At first I was taken back by her lack of interest Then I felt terrible that someone so young could feel that miserable and unhappy.
I only hope that this young woman sees the goodness in life and get back her smile. Life’s too short to eat cold soup..
Best wishes to that young lady. I sincerely hope her outlook gets brighter.

Good food good service. Needs something to make it special tho.
I will come back. The place is clean and looks fantastic. The food is good and looks great. I’m just looking for a small little item to make this place great.

Great service. Food is very good. Portians are sized well. The cook puts a nice touch into everything we ordered

Great food for any time of the day, awesome omelettes, excellent grinders and superb pasta dishes, all delivered with friendly service. Easily the best spot of its kind in the area amd beyond.

Stopped in for breakfast — Pancakes — ask if they had Maple syrup and they did.
I asked for more Maple syrup (I did not get enough to cover the pancakes the first time) The waitress brought me some sugar junk, like I could not tell the difference. as soon as I poured it… what! I got up and left when I paid the check I asked her if they ran out of maple syrup «I guess so «not cool. Don’t Treat People like Fools.

Delicious soups, sandwiches, wraps, entrees, & breakfast. One of my favorite places to eat in town

Great place to get a sandwich, their breakfast menu was available during lunchtime too. The sandwich I got was packed! Blue chips on the side with a ranch dip are a welcome change from the normal sandwich shops greasy fries or bagged Herrs. I was confused by the pasta salad at first (it looked like cold spaghetti) but it was so good! I can’t wait to try more food from here, only complaint is lack of vegetarian options, but there are some. I would recommend and will definitely return.

A very enjoyable place for a quiet lunch. I had the chicken wrap and was very happy with it. They take the extra time to make the plates look nice. They include a side of blue chips and salsa that adds to your meal. They also include some fresh vegetable garnishes. This is a BOYB

This is really an exceptional local sandwich shop. The sandwiches seem to have been thought out and constructed with more care than the average run of the mill establishment. The prices are good adnd the atmosphere is serene. This is my wife’s favorite local restaurant and we hit it constantly on our way back from Allentown.
