Sushi & Rice

I ate the last Friday out of curiosity. Best part of the experience was the Coke to wash down the taste. One star is too generous but Unilocal forces me to rate it.
My theory is if I paid for it I might as well eat it despite how bad it is. I’ll start by saying I didn’t end up eating what I paid for. Yes it’s cheap but even cheap food should have some standards. Here’s my list of issues.
1) Cook sweating like he’s in a sauna while cooking, his shirt was soaking wet.
2) It tasted like they poured an entire container of salt on the food. It couldn’t even be classified as salty it was more like someone pour salt into your mouth till you choked.
3) thought to myself maybe I can at least eat the chicken, steak, and shrimp with the pink sauce. Instead I realized it was more like water with food coloring and salt.
4) then I noticed a little black hair in my food the length of the sweaty cooks hair I stopped eating and looked more, I found 2 more strands a total of 3 pieces of hair in my already gross food.
5) I went to go dump it all and the cook comes up and asks «Good right!» I just walked out.
Even the old churches chicken had better food.

They probably read earlier Unilocal reviews, since the lady at the register was courteous. I got my order in 7 minutes. Plus, it’s not expensive at all. I liked the Alaska Roll. I’ll be a more frequent customer there.

It didn’t do it for me.
Seems like no one wanted to be working when I walked in. It took the staff there, 5 mins for them to realize I was in front of the register. It smelled like a mixer of fried food, old water and bathroom cleaners.
Food: Ordered Miso soup and I Love Lucy Roll. The soup was the saddest thing I’ve seen. Nothing special about it. More water than everything. The roll was all right. At least it was made in front of me.
Cheap but not worth it!

No. No, no, no.
I don’t usually give out 1-​star ratings, but I’ll make an exception for this. Rice wasn’t great, the sushi was forgettable, and some of the rolls that I’ve ordered with shrimp had shrimp that wasn’t cooked thoroughly (it was translucent and soft, not firm). I was praying not to get food poisoning as soon as I found out it was still raw. Their chicken teriyaki is underwhelming. The wasabi didn’t have much flavor to it.
I’ll give them props for giving us eel sauce containers though. But still, I’d rather spend the money on Publix sushi (and Publix sushi isn’t even that great either) than here.

Food: This place specializes in Chinese stir fry and sushi. there are about 10 different sushi rolls to choose from which range from $ 7 to around $ 12. The rolls are a bit bigger than your average sushi roll. I wish they had more sushi rolls to choose from, including hand rolls. The California and spicy tuna roll tasted fresh. Wasabi and ginger are available at the counter but you have to ask for it. The prices are fair. The ac was not working the day I went as it was really hot inside the restaurant and parking is very limited. the restaurant looked clean.

Chicken steak shrimp veggies and spicy mayo habachi were all BAD I wouldn’t dare try the sushi the only reason I’m not giving 1 star is I didn’t get sick

I Love this place. The Food taste incredible. Cheap pricing, fresh sushi and the place is very clean.

3^rd time coming here and it is great. The presentation of the food and the taste is incredible. My girlfriend works right next to it and sometimes come after I pick her up for some GREAT food. cheap pricing and fresh sushi

I visited today and loved the dishes. Just one of our soups was a little salty but we asked and they gladly re-​made it for us and it was just fine. Maybe it has improved since opening. I’m not into fast food at all, but this place I liked.

My husband and I tried this fast food place and were not impressed. My husband got a stir fried beef dish and thought it was nearly ok. Intrude the sushi and some miso soup. The soup was way to salty and uneatable. The sushi was poorly done. To much rice and badly rolled. The spicy tuna roll was not spicy at all and had no evidence of kimchi sauce in it. Temaki had lots of rice and little fish and couldn’t be neatly consumed in 1 or 2 bites. If you want sushi there are many better places to go. Overpriced as well.

i don’t know… i guess i had a different experience than the two other reviews. it’s fast food (which i NEVER eat) and i’m not much for sushi. but i’m driving by every day, my husband likes sushi so I finally decided to stop. i got a dragon roll, edamame and a veg goyoza. i must say the dragon roll was good, as good as any i find at inexpensive asian restaurants. what can be said about edamame? ok, they didn’t put any salt on it but i’d prefer that since i don’t like a lot of salt. the goyoza were delicious! so, i leave it to others to comment but for an easy take out, i would definitely go back. will do an update after another visit.

I vacillated between a 1 and 2-​star review. Decided to give them some benefit of the doubt. But I am tipping…
Was excited to see the coming soon signs on the building. Took awhile but they finally pulled the banner down and opened the doors.
Cute, spartan, cheerful. That’s what came to mind when I got a good look at the place.
Meh, really?, durn. Followed my eating experience.
The good? It’s cheap. The vegetable Hibachi is 5.99 the chicken is 7.99. And the good stops there.
The rice was passably OK. The veggies were overcooked and seemed like they had been slowly simmering away since the morn. The sauce included was some kind of weird semi-​spicy mayo. Not at all what I was hoping for.
For the adventurous they do offer sushi. Can’t say that I would give it a try considering what I did eat.
Hopefully, they will improve this place. It’s definitely unlike other food places in the area. However, the food is pretty low quality. They’d better kick it up a few notches if they expect repeat diners.
BAM!

Worst food ever! I often visit Thai, Japanese, and Chinese Restaurants, but I will not be visiting there again! For fast food, the prices were a bit more than in a Chinese Take Out, but I wanted to try their food, and now I wish I had not. I ordered the Baby Back Ribs w/​Vegetables & Fried Rice, and added an order of Fried Chicken Wings. As I said, «worst food ever!!». The Baby Back Ribs, were not Baby Backs. If anything, they were the «Fatty Country Style Pork Ribs», and tasted more Cuban than Japanese. I hate the taste of Cuban Food. The Chicken Wings were small and tasteless, as if no seasoning was used, at all. I’ve gotten bigger, and better tasting, wings from Publix, and KFC, while paying less. The Fried Rice & Vegetables, also tasted more like Cuban Food.
If you’re looking for Fast Food, with an Asian Flavor (or at least food that taste good), go to a Chinese Take Out instead, because you’re not going to get it at Sushi & Rice Fast Food.
