This is a Mom-n-Pop kind of diner /truck stop. Small and independent. While they take credit/debit cards in the store and for fuel, it’s strictly cash only for the restaurant. I had the pleasure of dining in the restaurant. I ordered a breakfast — an omelet with ham, and toast and a drink. The meal was done to perfection and the price was right. They have a medium sized parking area for big-rigs.

Gas stations are few and far between along Hwy 36, between Hannibal and Macon. This is a truck stop. I’ve been here a couple of times. Decent shape. Though well worn, it also seems to be well maintained. Does have tractor trailer fuel pumps, and a shower(I did not use this, but noted the sign). Very cool, retro pin ball machines(2 of them). There is also some kind of diner /restaurant attached(I did not try). One caution, the previous 2 visits have put me in a line to make purchases of convenience store items. Another ‘caution’, despite being able to see the store from Hwy 36, the somewhat circuitous routing of the road does require a little bit more driving than one might’ve anticipated. Also, the map here on Unilocal puts it on the wrong side of the road used to access Hwy 36. It is, instead, west of that road, and not east … but, it should be easy to figure this out visually when approaching.
