Always great. Have great salads(crispy chicken and buffalo chicken especially!) and pizza is great as well; the sauce is a bit sweeter than the traditional NJ/NY pizza but, overall, it’s the best I’ve found in the area. We drive 20+ minutes now that we’ve moved a bit further away. Totally worth the drive!

We got the Sicilian pizza late at night, honestly might have been a mistake I think we should have ordered traditional pizza because in pictures it looked so good. Sicilian wasn’t bad just too much bread, sauce was too sweet for my personal preference but it was good none the less!

I ask for a pizza to be a little darker but I got a burnt pizza. Never going back again. Also, they put less cheese than A&M. If you go to A&M, you would see that place is a lot busier.

One of the best places for pizza in the area. The pizza is definitely better than the subs. The guys have been making pizza for decades and used to have a shop in Lititz and moved 30 minutes to Palmyra. They still get customers driving from Lititz just to get their pizza. The sauce is sweet. It’s excellent.

Not the best pizza, not the worst pizza. Place needs an overhaul, it’s dirty and run down. Good rolls for subs. Prices are not exactly competitive.

Great pizza and friendly service. We particularly enjoy the white pizza. The stromboli is good, filled all the way to the ends with meat and cheese with the sauce on the side. They make a delicious Italian salad and the bread is delicious. The cheeseburger and cheesesteak subs(with or without sauce) are good. The sauce is on the sweet side, but no complaints here.

I can’t really speak to the pizzas on the menu(though I know they have a real white pizza, with real cheese and not some boxed sauce, so there’s that), but the standouts here are their subs, and for that alone they get 4 stars from me. Something about their subs is a little better than many places I’ve tried in the Harrisburg-Hershey area… the ingredients seem to be fresher and tastier than what most shops serve. Even the turkey sub is great, and they’re all made-to-order any way you like it. Fresh crumbled bacon and tangy sweet peppers and onions on fresh meats and a toasted sub bun make for a solid meal that I’ve come back for over and over again. The fried mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini are good, too, both served with a really decent marinara sauce. And as for the reviews citing«poor service,» I’ve never had that problem in dozens of visits. The kitchen area is entirely open to view, and if I were a cook who had to take orders as well when things got busy, I might be brief with customers from time to time, but the rest of the staff are some of the friendliest guys I’ve met in town… couldn’t be nicer, and I’ve never had to wait long for an order. A & M Pizza towards Hershey has a similar menu(and beer to go), but if you want a really good sub, call Bartolo’s first.

Great friendly service. Good Stromboli. Love their sauce. It has a sweeter taste. This is actually my favorite local pizza place.

Good pizza, chewy crust and blackened in the bottom. Thin crust the way I like it! Guy behind counter was appreciative when I told him I enjoyed my pizza. Coke products too!

This is good local made pizza. Not top quality, but fast and made in front of you. Better than chains. This small joint fit our party of 14 out on the patio.

The most disgusting pizza I ever ate. The employees are rude.

What can I say? A native New Yorker and this pizza gets my stamp of approval! Best I’ve ever had? Not by a long shot. But you will be surprised by the quality of this pizza in a sleepy little town near Hershey! I agree with others — the service will not wow you. But, hopefully, in comparison to A&M and other local places, the pizza will.

Just another tasteless pizza in a long line of average at best food joints in and around Palmyra. Like a fender bender along the road, just glance over and keep on moving because your money will be wasted and your longing for something worthwhile to eat will not be fulfilled.

For an area that serves up some consistently average pizza in general, Bartolo’s stands out to me as above average. I live in Hershey, but will drive to Palmyra as this is the best I’ve found yet. Yes, I am very picky about my pizza but I don’t understand why people settle for average. Anyway…as previous posters have mentioned, the sauce is unique, and sweet-and if you like sweet, it’s very good! The most important part of a pizza for me though is its crust. A great pizza has pastry like crust that almost makes me want to eat it sans the sauce and the cheese. Bartolo’s doesn’t get huge marks for its crust as its not crispy or flaky enough for me. Again, though it is DEFINITELY better than the rest as it’s lighter than its competitors and certainly not a bad crust. Last, I’ll say Bartolo’s seems to lay off the grease-fest which I’ve found at many other pizza establishments in the area. Anyway, if I could give it a 3.5 I would, but I’ll stick at a 3 which is very good for around here! Oh, and I’ve never had any issues with the staff at Bartolo’s.

Delicious pizza if you REALLY like sweeter sauce. The appetizers are just so-so, but always served piping hot. To echo one of the earlier reviews, the attitude of one of the gentlemen is indeed a huge turn-off. I’ve only seen the guy twice, and hopefully he’s gone, but the first time I ate there I was treated in a poor manner as well. Unlike the other poster, I actually fired back with«Sorry, I was unaware your establishment had rules.» The next time, my wife picked up the order and was treated the same way. Luckily, I haven’t seen the overweight offender in quite some time. Hopefully, the owner decided that customer service was actually important to running a successful business and got rid of him. I will give these guys credit, they always abide by their word when they give you a time to pick up your dinner. I’ve never had them run late. That alone is always appreciated.

Today’s world requires consistency in served food. Bartolo’s Pizza serves up quality food in generous portions at reasonable rates. An always helpful and courteous staff provide quick to the counter service, seating is available for eat in or take out service. Time sensitive orders can be assured that being in business now for more then 17 years has proven a winner. Parking is available in front of the store with more parking available past the curb on the south side. Outdoor seating is available on their very small patio with one picnic table, this is usually made accessible for Team Sports celebration parties etc. Bartolo’s Pizza proudly sponsors youth Team Sports on a regular basis! I really liked their pizza and I witnessed what appeared to be a delicious cheesesteak, but cannot confirm. The pizza sauce was worthy of mention as was the crust. Do not bother with the onion rings as they’re nothing but store bought Ore Ida at best. Long and short is that if you’re already at or around Hershey park stop in Bartolos for a decent cheese slice. I wouldn’t make it my destination for the purpose of making it my destination.

I have eaten here or gotten takeout at least 20 times. As far as the service goes it has ranged from indifferent to pleasant, but the pizza is simply the best in the area. I’m not sure why, but the sauce is awesome. Also, I’m not a huge sicilian pizza fan, but Bartolo’s is tremendous. The crust isn’t too thick like most places. I can’t vouch for the sandwiches or other items, but try the pizza.
