Good food but the live music was entirely too loud, can’t hear the person next to me. Made the night a lot less enjoyable. Won’t go back on a live music night!

If you are a Guinness Drinker, Avoid this place at all cost. Visited Curran’s on A Saturday Afternoon(330ish), bar wasn’t packed. Ordered a pint of Guinness. My pint was in front of me before I even pulled out my wallet. Totally disregarded the standard 2 Part Pour for a Guinness, and secondly, it was in a regular 16 oz Miller Lite Pint Glass.(You Market yourself as an Irish Bar, The Guinness Reps. will give you as many Guinness Pint Glasses that you request) It gets better. I continued to order a couple more pints, same story, slopped it in the glass and served instantly. After my second pint, I asked for another pint, the bartender asked me for my glass.(I’m not shocked by this) I politely asked for a new glass, for my glass had just a layer of cream at the end. She said that«She might have a clean glass»(which I received my next pint in a Shock-top Glass, Surprised they didn’t put an orange wheel on my pint). There was only about 20 people in the place, and if they have exhausted your supply of glassware… you have bigger problems. I experienced 4 lousy pints, in 4 different non-standard pint glasses by 2 different bartenders. I didn’t want to order a 5th, because it may have been served in a martini glass. The only positive things I can take from this place is, it had a good loud internet connected Juke-Box, and the the Glass-Door Openings to the outside made for a good day-drinking experience.

Amazing French onion soup. Great soups of the day also. Great wings, amazing sandwiches, buffalo chicken club, corned beef special, filet sandwich. Friendly service and fair prices.

Everyone hates to shovel. Everyone does. There is no fun in moving 22 inches of snow, unless you build in some rewards. Since I have my house and my elderly mothers house to do I rewarded myself after my house with a burger and a beer. I choose currans, on the way to moms anyway. I was greeted by a super cute and friendly bartender, Stacey. I ordered and she had a somewhat busy bar but made time to talk to me every couple of minutes. This was the perfect amount of attention. The burger was cooked a perfect med well. Paid my bill and went to moms house. I won’t lie shoveled a little quicker because I wanted to get my reward of a beer and talking to Stacey. I made it back to enjoy a couple of beers watch sports center and chat with the cute bartender. One complaint. The bald guy who works there kept putting on «his music». And would awkwardly make it louder and softer based on his love of his music. But other than that I will continue to come back!

A friend and I headed to Curran’s after work because her father-in-law was playing a gig there. Almost immediately as we had sat down at our table were we greeted by a friendly waitress. Drinks and food came relatively fast except my friend got her cheese fries ten minutes after my meal came. Not sure what the mix up was there. The food wasn’t anything extraordinary, mostly your typical bar snack type stuff.(At least from the menu i perused and ordered from.) The waitress definitely made it a point to ask how we were doing every so often though, which was nice.(I read a few previous reviews that mentioned slow service, and I’m glad to report that I didn’t experience slow service on my visit.) Overall the experience was pleasant and the evening out with friends was really nice. The live music is also a huge perk for this place in my book.

Not a fan!!! Service sucks. Watered down drinks. No uniform drink prices. You get ripped every time. I highly recommend you go elsewhere or pre-game. Bartender is nasty!!! I tried to give it another chance. Bad idea

The service on a Friday afternoon was nothing short of terrible. Our server came over to our table twice(we were there for close to 3 hours). Our server was also very unwelcoming. I will only be back to visit Frank or Britt, the only 2 who know how to work at a bar and entertain customers.

What a disappointment! Went out to dinner and had a couple of Sam Adams Octoberfest that were delicious. Came home and hubby felt like more so we stopped in Curran’s figuring that they would also have it. Still not sure what I drank, but paid for an upset stomach. What they sold as Sam Adams Octoberfest had a terrible bitter taste and charged me $ 5.50 for a average glass of tap. The place we went for dinner served a stein sized mug and only charged $ 4.00 and was smooth and pleasant. As usual they had music, but way to loud. Had my ears ringing and had to text my conversation because my throat hurt from having to talk so loud.

After a few times visiting Curran’s and being a little disappointed this visit I must say has been really nice. The food was good and served in a timely manner. Beer is cold and good also. Bartender(Kat) was nice and very informative about the food and beers on tap. The band is getting ready to play soon. Looking forward to the band starting at 9pm, but apparently they let a two man team play first. They were horrible !! Had to wait till a little past 10pm for the main event. Manager made a big mistake. Should have waited till the main band got done. Patrons were leaving early because of this, myself included. Bottom line is I won’t be going back! 2 stars for the bartender and food.

Decent bar, a little on the small side. Good drink and food specials. Good tell it’s popular with the locals because it was packed at 8 on a Friday. Down side is parking, and the bathroom had piss and shit all over the place.

I have to go with two stars. Prime location right in the center of the town however as a Palmyra resident I can safely say that none of the people that I associate with ever frequent this bar. This bar is significantly nicer than park tavern but it’s not homey. It’s just an extension of their northeast Philadelphia location. Take a look in the parking lot any night that it’s busy it’s mostly Pennsylvania tags and of course one gentleman who has a green truck who literally sits in his car and smokes and goes in and out all day every day. But besides all of that food is average to below average for bar food. One great thing about this place is that they do offer live music which I really like. In comparison with the only competition I give them a thumbs up because you have to fund the jukebox at the park tavern. I’ve been here multiple times and sadly it does kind of Carry the typical Northeast Philly abrasive attitude from the staff which frankly should be kept there. One night I went in it was near empty and a bouncer in basketball shorts came up to me and asked to see my ID after I’d already sat at the bar. Completely unnecessary but whatever. I’ll be back but no hurry to do so. I’m actually surprised they’re still open but God bless them because the broad Street pub which was the bar before them drove itself into the ground. Considering the bar is directly located across the street from the police station in the town that’s one square-mile you roll the dice leaving here driving because you’re in Plainview.

Horrible, management are thieves, charging cover for bands that don’t show. Refused to return money. Took an hour to get a burger after ordering

My husband and I have been taking mini bar crawls throughout south Jersey and Philly. I was pleased as this bar had a decent selection of seasonal beers. I especially like the pumpkin drafts

My stepmom suggested Curran’s for a recent get-together over our usual local bar. Since I had never been, I wanted to check it out and see how the two compare. First thing I noticed was the loud club music… at dinnertime on a Friday. Maybe fun for later in the evening but a bit out of place given the time and clientele(mostly families). I asked our server about their beer selection and the most unique offerings were Yuengling Octoberfest and Sam Adams Octoberfest. Very sad indeed. The food is where things picked up. My stepmom had a chicken parm dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans and she raved about her food. The mashed potatoes were delicious and definitely homemade. I opted for a buffalo chicken wrap with curly fries and it was great. The wrap didn’t fall apart and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The fries were delicious and plentiful. Service was slow at times but our server was clearly covering most of the tables, which seemed like a lot for one person. A band started setting up by the time we were leaving which is pretty cool. If these guys improved their beer game they would be super solid. But for now, I’m going with a-ok.

Curran’s is fairly good sports bar on the main street in Palmyra. When the nights are cool, they can open the front windows to let the breeze in, which is great. I also love that there’s a lot of live music and that they’ve always got the Philadelphia games on. Good weekly specials on beer, too. Definitely bring a crowd of friends here for beer buckets and large orders of wings to watch the sports game. The service is usually pretty attentive and they’ll check on you more than enough to make sure you’re happy.

This might be the worst bar in the world. Palmyra’s business district sucks, any parking is taken up by the apartment people all around. First time I went here I found a spot outback. As soon as I parked this obese cop blasts a spot light on me and asks what I’m doing. Nice town! Rude chain smoking waitress tells me «we don’t do specials». Food sucked. A year later, I walk there. Its Friday night right? It’s completely empty except a dj blasting crappy music and trying to be our best friend. We get stale bread sandwiches and burnt fries. We try it again recently… I get their famous crab soup. It looks like last years shepherds pie with throw up in it? Brown gravy looking substance with shredded looking tail meat? I ate a few spoonfuls and wanted to barf. Got a chicken parm sandwich that I think was fried for the entire 30 minutes that we waited for our food. I regret not taking a video of this. I could not cut it with a fork or butter knife. It was like burnt wood. I tried this place about 4 times over the 4 years its been open. The food has always been terrible and the staff has always been rude. I will never return until new ownership.

We were out from California visiting my brother & his family for Thanksgiving. I asked my brother if there was a good sports bar around where we could watch the NFL Sunday games(Nov 28) & he mentioned this place. It was a cold 10 minute walk from his house to Curran’s. Upon entering the establishment, we immediately noticed all the flatscreens about the bar & seating area — SA-WEET! The bar area seemed cozy with a view of a couple flatscreens behind the bar, but every bar stool was full & we sat ourselves at the wall opposite the bar. Although the bar itself was full, the dining area didn’t seem very busy with about 30% of the tables being occupied. It was about 10 minutes before we were greeted by one of the several waitress that were mulling about the register by the kitchen doors & were asked to give her a couple of minutes before she could come back with a couple of menus at which time we noticed that EVERYSCREEN was on the Philly vs Chicago game. Really? EVERYSCREEN? I know many bars that are dedicated to one particular sports team, but at least they show several different games as well. I later noticed that there were a couple NYG& Baltimore fans(by the jerseys they were wearing) sitting at a couple of tables near the middle of the dining area asking the waitstaff if it would be possible to change a couple of tvs to their games. I myself would like to have seen a couple of different games. Besides, from where my wife & I were sitting, we were the only ones watching one particular screen. Fifteen minutes from the time we sat ourselves our menus finally arrived, at which time I asked our waitress if it would be possible to throw on the MIA vs OAK game on our very own screen. She said she’d get right on it. While she took our order, another waitress was trying to find the game on «our» screen… no luck, frustrated she left it on a channel which was broadcasting figure skating. We finally just asked them to change it back to the Eagles game if anything. So much for NFL variety. I ended watching other NFL games on my Droid while noshing on mediocre bar food. As I was on my way to the restroom, I handed my phone to the Baltimore fan so that she could catch a few minutes of her game. You guessed it. The Curran’s bar staff couldn’t accomodate her & her friends with their games either. My guess it that they’ll show Eagles 2010 highlights during the Superbowl. Slow service: fail Bland food: fail A million screens with 1NFL game: double fail Apologetic waitress: ½ STAR Cold draught beer: STAR Made friends with some nice people: STAR Rating: 2.5 stars(I just couldn’t justify rounding up.) This has been a deez® public announcement & a bunch of us approve this message. Thanks and have a nice day.

I was invited out to a happy hour a friend had won there. And i had a nice but loud evening –we were directly in front of the person singing– but it was fine because he took request. Nice bar. Pretty good bar food. I had a single chicken finger which was soo good because i was soo hungry but i could still tell i actually liked what i was eating. I ordered the onion rings which were large and crispy the way i liked them. They came with this kinda(what tastes like) creamy horse radish dip which grew on me as i ate more and more onion rings:) The drinks were of course good –it’s pretty hard to mess up rum and coke!
