I called to ask a simple question. The receptionist was a total jerk. He was very condescending while he could have just given me a straight answer.

Kind, patient, and understanding, Dr. Baker takes plenty of time to listen carefully to me. It means the world to me that she takes me seriously and respects my intuition and opinions about my own health — I have not had this experience with other doctors. I have been very happy with the care I have received from Dr. Baker and recommend her highly to anyone.

Thus far, Dr. Baker is the worst primary care doctor I’ve ever had. She seems unwilling to try more than one treatment before referring to a specialist, and only gives that referral after having a follow-up appointment(even if symptoms haven’t changed or worsened). She has even referred me to a specialist in lieu of giving me a prescription refill for a very benign face medication that was already working. However, if you have a problem actually requiring specialist attention… watch out. When seeking a referral to deal with a complicated, chronic health issue, Dr. Baker suggested I «contact Stanford, or UCSF, which have a lot of doctors,» but said she«didn’t know any specialist [herself]. Thanks, Dr. Baker; glad I paid over $ 100 for you to tell me that I can Google a specialist for myself. I was kind of hoping you’d help me figure out which one to see, but I guess that will require a follow-up.
